1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

talking to your BJD

Sep 26, 2014

    1. Yes. I usually talk to them when taking pictures.

    2. I do when I'm trying outfits on her , making her something or just taking photos Usually things like "What do we think of this dress?? Yay or nay?" Or give her little compliments like "Why are you soooo cute"
I talk to a lot of things anyway like myself or animals so makes sense ^_^

    3. I talk to Lumina, more in my head out loud! Unless she's being awkward to position or something, then I'll tell her she's being awkward or something

    4. I talk to my cats, my dolls, my plants... I am known to yell at appliances, too.

    5. I really only talk to them to scold someone who fell over and tell them to stay put. Or I'll say 'Hold your brother." which is just me telling Falhen to hold onto Sir Thomas's head at meets.

    6. I talk to myself out loud A LOT, and to my cats as well, specially since I started living by myself....hell I even talk to my computer or the tv sometimes. So yes I talk to my dolls xD I like having them near me when I'm on my computer or drawing, to keep me company ^^

    7. I talk to them kind of like I talk to my cats. It makes me feel better that I said something to tell them my intentions..but I know I'm not getting a response

    8. I talk to them, but it's mostly apologizing for making them wear something not easy to put on our for making them lose for several photos to g get that one perfect one. I blame Toy Story movies.

    9. I don't except for when I take my doll out and put him back in his box + when I dress him for some reason? I'm not quite sure why I think an inanimate doll needs encouragement and praise when I'm the one putting pants on him but he can't complain so we all win

    10. I only talk to them in my head, I'm the type of person who is too shy to even talk to dolls LOL

    11. I do from time to time, it’s usually me yelling at him to clean his damn room, or to stop being “a jerk” or compliment his outfit, not really full conversations though.

    12. The only time I talk to my dolls is if they aren't cooperating when I am dressing/posing them for photos.

YOKO: *eyes go wonky after spending 10 minutes positioning them inside the head*
ME: Don't look at me that way, girl!

BASH: *Decides to kick and go for a tumble during a pose*
ME: Straighten up and fly right! Get it together for this photo, sir.

LOL sometimes I crack myself up :P

    13. Usually when I'm psyching myself up to do something like take photos in public ^^; something like
"Don't worry you're adorable and tiny. No one will notice or they'll think I'm taking photos of a kids toy. And if they're mean we can tell them to  off."

    14. That's so cute! It takes a lot of confidence to do that, I've not got there yet

    15. I mostly have small dolls so it's a little easier. I've found people to be really receptive to puki's too. Still get nervous though lol

    16. That's really cute! I like to talk to mine while I'm sewing too, particularly when I have to man-handle him while putting on partially constructed items. "I know this is undignified, stop looking at me like that." :XD:

    17. I talk to my own stuffs pretty often (plushies, the computer, etc). so my dolls are no exception lol
Not full out conversations but just passing comments.

Basically whenever I handle them (to change their clothes or take photos), it'd be stuffs like "why are you being so difficult today?" "now stand properly and dont fall" "hold this pose" "why you looking extra good today?" "i really need to get you new clothes".

    18. It might be something horrorific to others, but I sometime whispered to my child, although it's mostly unspoken words but just a though all other time.
I think if your child is your friend, it's naturally for you to speak to them, like how you spoke to your "invisible friend" when you was a child.

    19. I understand that @Evendo, I do that too :)

    20. I talk to my bjds telepathically. Its very therapeutic in a way because it makes me feel as though I am never alone and have a friend nearby.
