1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

talking to your BJD

Sep 26, 2014

    1. Since I seem to talk to anything and everything it would be weird for me if I didn't talk to my dolls. I'll hold full blown conversations with them. It's nothing out of the ordinary.

    2. I say goodnight, hello, bye, and other small things like that. I have talked to them before aloud when dressing them, usually scolding for not cooperating! I have also talked to them in my head when I am gone somewhere for a few days or longer. Other than that, I sometimes talk to them about their story if I suddenly come up with a new idea; I will ask them if that idea is OK with them haha.

    3. I think I might have posted here before.

I talk to them when no one is around. I'm home alone a lot and I get lonely. I mainly talk to them when I'm playing with them. The other day, I found myself apologizing a lot to Seth because he fell face forward and broke one of his fingers.

    4. I apologise when I accidentally hit them or knock onto them, or if I have to put them away in my cupboard! Well I'm not really one to chat with animals and inanimate objects actually, but I kinda prefer to play on the safe side and just assume that everything has a spirit, and I should always treat them kindly. Not to mention that I'm afraid of dolls at first, due to those horror shows involving dolls... so I'll be extra polite JUST IN CASE.

    5. I enjoy talking to my doll. I hardly stand people around me irl, have a very few acquaintance, and yes, lately I've been spending even more time at home communicating with my doll. I think he's rather being my pet so I treat him accordingly.

    6. All the time, and my bears, and the washing-machine, and a my computer, and... Does shouting at the television count?

    7. i like to talk to my doll. Often I'm tellling her about my day at work and plans for future.

    8. :)Thank god l am not the only one that dose this lol (l know that there could be other people that do this too) and l do this all the time. It's good to know that l am not the only one:D

    9. I talk to my dolly all the time, I like to tell him how cute and perfect he is, so I guess it's a lot of baby talk, or like how you talk to your pets. Theyre more statements I suppose

    10. Yes! I told my husband the other day I was talking to her and he just shook his head at me. I've given her a kiss on the cheek too! I really like her a lot. It's so hard to explain and not sound crazy. lol

    11. I will tell them to quit being so difficult if I they go all floppy when I am dressing them. Or asking them how much they had to drink when I am trying to pose and they refuse to stand. But I don't confide in them or anything.

    12. That sums it up for me too... When they don't do what I want them to do, I tend to "talk" to them... ;)

    13. I talk to them and reassure them. Right now I keep reassuring Amadeo that Kevin will be back from the faceup artist soon. I imagine their responses and sound out ideas for their characters. I don't think of them as real people but I do have fun pretending to talk to them. I think it would be odd not to talk to them as I talk to my computer and tv and my sewing machine (mostly I yell at my sewing machine!) My husband and room mate are used to my ways. They just ignore it.

    14. I talk to Reito at least once a day... Poor him is sitting in my glass cabinet for quite a few months now already because we still wait on his clothes to arrive and every time I pass by the cabinet I've the feeling he is trying to tell me 'Lemme outta here!' and so I am like 'Just a bit more... Your clothes will be there one day... And then we'll have a nice nice photo session in the garden or at the park' XD

    15. My mom and I both talk to my dolls... I enjoy it... I love to make my girl come to life. ..

    16. No, not unless I'm restringing and then it's usually more like cursing, lol.

    17. I dont baby talk my dolls haha. I just talk to them while putting new things on them, trying new poses, things like that!

    18. I always talk to them. Whether it be normal talk to problem talk or anything. I just talk to them whenever I can. haha! Especially when I'm changing their clothes, I always say sorry that I'm looking at their body and stuff. haha!! I also talk to them when I get new things for them and get all excited when trying it on to them.

    19. Same! Especially when I come home from school and run to her haha!

    20. I talk to my bjds like I would my cat...perhaps with less of a baby voice. "Doesn't this suit you well," "Isn't that perfect," "You almost took quite the fall there," etc.
