1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

talking to your BJD

Sep 26, 2014

    1. i talk to my dolls all the time... some times i turn around a talk to them without touching them or moving them... about a lot of things really

    2. I talk to everything too: to my cat, to my books, to my plushies, to the TV... and of course I talk to my dolls, specially to the littlest one, as she is the apple of my eye ^w^
Even when they clearly can't answer me, it sure helps me when I feel troubled or lonely and I need to talk to someone.
I scold them when they refuse to hold a pose or when they end up with the hair messed up and I have to brush it again. Also, when I'm looking for clothes or accesories for a certain one, I usually ask if they like it xD

    3. I say stuff here or there when she won't hold a pose are is being difficult about putting her wig on but that's really it

    4. Sometimes I do! Sometimes I call their name... And when it's morning or night I say good morning or night.. it depends on my mood xD

    5. Yes. They are little characters that I have created and i have a bond with them. Its nice to chat with them.

    6. I tend to ask them stupid questions that I answer myself- or sing off key like a loon but then stopping because it feels wrong when their eyes are directed on me. Almost like they're judging xD
But I don't hold conversations, more like muttered phrases and such, so I guess Yes.

    7. The most commen thing I say by far is "Really Mia, Really?" It usally is said after she head butts me when I'm trying to dress her.

    8. As others have said - I talk to all sorts of things - cats, my dolls, my computer (running conversation that), my sewing machine, the universe....

    9. Not usually. Just: "Hold still." "WHY IS YOUR LEG LIKE THAT!?" "Oh don't you look pretty?" "Ugh you look horrible in that outfit." "C'mere." "STOP KICKING!" And some expletives. Fun times in changing dolls!

    10. I talk to Cain (my first doll, a Ringdoll Menghe) all the time. I've even recorded our foolish and silly arguments. So far we've argued about youtube tags, faceups, and his Halloween costume. Talking to him and imagining what he would respond with is a way of bonding for us. :) Honestly, he'd just like me to buy him more stuff, haha.

    11. I talk to Sidney, but in just the ways of "Ugh, get in your sweater girl" and saying hello and asking if she likes certain clothes I come across online.

    12. I have conversations with them and often ask them random questions. :wiggle

    13. I talk to them quite a bit--when I'm changing their clothes or playing with them. Sometimes I'll say goodnight. Or just "you're so pretty!" But I have conversations with my pets, including the squirrels, so I guess it's just what I do.

    14. Well, animism is a part of my personal belief system, so conversing with my dolls is only natural. ^_^

I will on occasion say things out loud, but mostly it's done mentally, same as when talking to rocks, the wind, or my car.

Lol, when it comes to my dolls, they sometimes start the conversation, usually when I'm in a store or shopping online and they see something they want.

    15. Yes I have been taking them very frequently especially when I reach home and am going to bed. I do it when I help them change clothes as well as when I am taking photos of them. ^^

    16. All the time! I keep my doll on my top bunk so sometimes I go in my room I look up there and ask, "Everything alright?"
Or when i'm dressing her and the clothing wont go on very easily i'll say, "C'mon Lore..."
I feel like every doll has a 'soul' and they're like tiny people and need attention too

    17. When I'm really stressed, I brush my doll's hair and start complaining to her about everything that's wrong in my life

    18. I talk to my dolls. Life can get stressful, and when i want to vent I would just talk to mine if my family and friends aren't around.

    19. I'M NOT CRAZY! lol

I talk to myself and the dog a lot, and dolls have basically provided me with another non-judgemental "person" to talk to.

    20. I sometimes talk to them, it depends on the situation. It helps me bond with the doll to be honest :3
