1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

talking to your BJD

Sep 26, 2014

    1. I talk to most animate and inanimate objects, so naturally I'm quite vocal with my dolls! Imagining their response is part of the bonding process and half the fun! :D

    2. Yeah. I would speak to my dolls when dressing them and saying things like "you look so cute" i would also say hello.

    3. It has become commonplace for my relatives and I to talk to the dolls. They've become a part of the family, with their little lives, drama, eccentrics, and hogging the household seating on cleaning days. Even when they are not out and about the house, my family will happily greet them in my room.

I am always talking to my resin kids, moreso when I am dressing them and posing them. My grandpa especially likes to accuse my dolls of being lazy freeloaders.

    4. When I'm working on sewing an outfit for one of them I have them sitting next to my sewing machine, and I will occasionally talk out loud about what I'm doing. Otherwise no.

    5. I personally talk to my doll all the time. When I get home I call out his name before picking him up haha.

Just silly stuff like "Ugh I need to fix your wig!" or "I think I'm changing your clothes now." And things like that with no importance whatsoever.

    6. I talk to them all the time! When I'm sewing/crafting I tend to scold them a lot for being uncooperative :sweat I also scold them when they don't cooperate when I'm trying to stand/pose them. But it's not always bad; I kinda treat them like babies ;), cuz they are my babies lol

    7. Yes, sometimes when I'm home alone I casually talk to my dolls. It's really just to keep my mind from getting to flooded with ideas, talking out loud really helps.

    8. I too talk to pretty much everything.

    9. Me too :) I even talk to my car so... dolls, cats, vaccum ...

    10. I chit chat with my boy Desmond a lot, actually! Talking to myself in order to think out loud or process stuff has slowly morphed and turned into talking to him instead.

    11. I do it. A lot. Whenever I'm sewing something for them, dressing them, finding wigs, eyes, shoes what have we for them, I always sit and chat away, talking about plans of all sorts to do with them. How can one not sit and just blabber away?

    12. I talk (scold) my doll alot when I'm trying to pose her. Lol She is quite difficult. Sometimes, I start rambling to myself and I sort of feel like she is listening to me sometimes. It's okay, you're not alone!

    13. Yup, I talk to my dolls all the time, they'll sit in my lap while I shop for them... it's a shared experience and they let me know if they do or don't like something hah!

    14. Usually to tell them to STOP FALLING OVER GODDAMN IT WHY WONT YOU POSE DX, but yeh I talk to them XD

    15. I mostly talk to them when I'm trying to get them to pose! "Emily, you're so floppy! Someone should restring you!" or "Bri why are your hands so big? They don't fit in these Minifee sleeves!" I tell them they're gorgeous too. Especially when I'm feeling emotional about something. I also mention things to them, like "Ugh, Liria, you'll look so much better with a face up." I also like to tell them what I'm going to get for them. And I find myself buying things and saying "Alex will love this" even though I know she won't care about the mini purse I just found. xD

    16. Small talk like most. "Stop that." "are you trying to kick me?" "sit still" "Dude the faster i change you the sooner this ends." Just when they act up.

    17. I talk to everything including my dolls.

    18. Ha, I thoght I was one one crazy like this, but i am not alone:)) mostly i scold when trying to pose him:)

    19. I used to talk to them all the time! Especially when making something for them or trying to get them to just...stand...up.... Not as much now that I live with my fiance but every once in a while you have to wtf them when they fall over.

    20. I have a habit of talking to inanimate objects when things are going wrong. My computer specifically but the dolls fall in there too. Like when I'm dreading Haylee Her limbs so everywhere and I'll say "Haylee no stop being a brat. What are you doing? Stop that you crazy child. " my dad and mom both have become use to I and you can hear them call to my room. "Haylee stop giving your mom a hard time. " xD
