Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. Pardon me while I spazz. :lol: I can't wait to see your boy.
      I've asked Supia about the resin, I'll post whatever answer I get. :) The first thing I thought when I saw tan Rosy was that she looked like a Native Alaskan girl. :D She'll probably be either that or Siberian for me regardless of resin color since those races can have pale skin as well. I think she'd make a lovely Yup'ik girl in the tan resin. Now I've got to sketch out some traditional clothing. :aheartbea

I think that would be a good idea since we will eventually have the same female sculpt. :) I'm now totally picturing Rosy in a kuspuq, and I can definitely see kamau in fur and hide, the spear wouldn't be hard to make either. I can see myself trying to carve rock for it now lol.

    9. No they didn't. I know it won't happen immediately since this is the rainy season. That would just be disastrous for tan resin. I'd think maybe in a few months it would be possible for her to get the casting company to do this. Korea has had a heck of a muggy summer apparently.

      That would be awesome. Are you originally from Alaska?

    11. Bwah, great minds -- one of my biggest dolly cosplay ideas that helped sell me on Cocori was dressing her up as Katara from Avatar: the Last Airbender, with strongly Inuit-inspired clothing. Now you've got me thinking I should dress Kamau as her dad's buddy Bato to match! But before I get on to those huge complex ensembles, I want to get some smaller projects done first -- both my twins are getting doll-size fringed modern pow-wow dance shawls, and I'm starting to think Kamau needs a ribbon shirt so long as I'm at it. :)

      As for the depth of resin color, I don't know about the Supias but with those glorious Iple tans, I've seen at least one person reporting that a broken Cocori finger had a white core. I have to wonder if that might have just been an artifact of the way it snapped, though, sort of the way you get a lightened effect in some plastics when you bend/stretch them out of shape. I sanded off some fairly large chunks of a Lt. Cocori foot change part recently, and the color definitely went more than a quarter-inch deep into the part -- I'll try the same thing on one of the Kamau wrist circles once my light-exposure experiment has gone on a little longer.

    13. Oh yeah...the more I'm thinking how that hunk would look with his face framed in thick white fur, the more I'm loving the idea. This thread is DANGEROUS! I already have so many things I want to make for these dolls, I'll be sewing for years to get through all the ideas... :lol:

    16. This is a new sculpt I have been working on and I haven't had it approved for ontopicness yet. She's on the same body as Ylisande... her name is Nkiru. She has a textured headcap like cropped hair; it also helps with holding a wig on, to a degree. Not sure if, when and how this sculpt would be generally available, but would love to hear some opinions:)
