Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.       Dreadfulme, this girl will probably only be cast by me in very limited quantities, and only when I have the time and energy to do so. If that remains the case, then the colour of each casting is entirely up to the client and can be decided before the doll is made. I am planning to make a 70cm ish body later on, but just working on a 60-65 cm revision at the moment.

    12. I'm so happy to have found this thread! A friend of mine collects AA dolls and was told by someone at a doll show that it's not possible to make AA dolls because the pigments somehow don't work well with the resin. She'll be thrilled to know there's a bjd of her dreams out in the world. Thanks to all who shared photos!

      I've seen her in real life at the Volks USA store. The picture makes her skintone look lighter, but it's a nice rich chocolatey color.

      But I agree with everyone on the site for Volks, Iplehouse, Dollmore, and the rest being the places I've seen so far that over tanned to ebony dollies.

    14. I wanted to give this thread a bump up in hopes that they're might be some more tanned dolls offered out now that haven't been offered previously or I've just missed in my searching. I'm desperate to create my Indian boy who requires a beautiful brown resin color and while I don't mind airbrushing his head to match a dark body, I'd rather not have to airbrush an entire doll. The body that I love for him isn't offered in tan so I'm hoping might I find an alternative that's just as pretty...:(

      Richila has one and i think she sounds very pleased with him. although... depending on which skintone you were going for, PD tan is not anywhere near as tan as it looks on their site. just a tiny bit darker than BBB light-tan, actually. and a lot of indians i know are way browner than that skintone.

    16. Oops, I should have specificied that I am looking for a body in the 60cm range, not mini :doh My bad on that. Alot of the tan bodies that are bigger are just so slim, like Bobobie, Dollmore or Angell Studio, or either overly mature like the new DragonDoll Uncle Body. I really love the Dollstown 15 body as that is also offered in tan and has a nice build to it, it's just about 6 cms too tall :( The only others I can think of that are offered regulary in tan are Dollzone, AoD and Volks and I fear I may have to choose from one of those three even though none are as mature as I'd hoped. (btw, I was saving for the MSDoll Gay body for this doll since it's sculpt is just perfect, but it's not offered in tanskin).

      Are you sure that a Volks Full Choice doll in a tan skin color wouldn't work? You'd have lots of head options that way! If you need a darker skin tone in a 60cm height range your options do narrow down a lot if a skinny body won't work. :( Maybe take another look at the Iplehouse now that they are running special tan releases of all of their YiD boys?

    18. Just a FYI, the Dragondoll Uncle body is over 70cm tall, but they offer two other types of ~60cm (about 62cm with head) boy bodies that are a lot less mature, also in tan skin. [2nd Gen body] [3rd Gen body]

      I've also heard that Dream Realm might be releasing a 60cm soon, and they say they will be releasing a tan skin color in the near future.

      I'm new to ball jointed dolls. All I have right now is a Goodreau Cocoa that I turned into the queen of Sheba.
      Are tanned bjd(s) any more available now than a couple of years ago?
      Or at least lighter dolls with more ethnic features?
      Also, does bobobie offer darker tan colors?
      Oh. One thing has always confused me. Why is it so "hard" to make tan bjds when other bdjs dolls come in pink, green, blue etc?
