1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Tan/African American/Black BJDs - Discussion!

Dec 14, 2007

    1. I will try to post more after I finish more sewing. :)

    2. Anyone planning on getting one of the new tanned Souldoll girls? They are beautiful!

    3. I saw that and it was a huge turn off for me. It's not that I don't like the doll but the color is sooo different than what I was expecting. It sorta looks lavendar on my screen. I can't wait to see a face-up. She may still be abe to be the character I was hoping for.

    4. I really really wanna see Queena with that cool harlequin face-up! The pics look so photoshopped on the company website but it looks amazing.

    5. I adore Queena! I seem to be in the minority though; most people prefer Philipa.

    6. That's lovely. I have a unoa sist that I wanted to dye, but I'm so scared of messing her up :sweat

And I finally finsihed paying off my DK Cocori and she has shipped. I'm so excited to see her in person.

    7. Me toooo! I don't hear a whole lot about Queena, but I really love her sculpt and I think she looks great tanned!

    8. YAY! Dark Cocori! Would love to see pictures of her when she gets in!
And I see in your sig you're working on bringing home a Gentle Soo Ri! :) I looooooove that face! :dance

    9. I'm soooo excited! My dad is helping me get the new Iplehouse Kamau! I intend to turn him into Teal'c from Stargate...nom nom.

    10. Awesome! 8D
      I can't wait to see that!! :D

    11. DUDE!!! :cheer Awesome! I cannot wait to seeeeee! :dance

Miss Ally: Ooooo! I was so hoping someone would get one of those boys in the darker tones! :drool I have to admit I was sorely tempted, and very nearly got one in the daaaark tan. :)
I think I may yet, on that newer body with fewer pieces in it.
Eventually. :sweat Gotta pay off Kamau first.

    12. My Dark Cocori came in the mail yesterday. She is beautiful and goes with my boy very well. I'm still waiting for her hair to come in because Dollmore is being stupid and hasn't sent out the group order that ws placed three weeks ago ;-;.

I also had to contact IH because her left shin a piece chipped off near the ankle. I probably won't hear anything from them for a while because of the Korean holiday. Hopefully I'll be able to get a replacement part without to much of a problem.

    13. Pic-TURES!!! :dance Pic-TURES!!!

    14. My Lt Gentle Cocori arrived Saturday. She is a beautiful Tan color. She was quite loosly strung so I have tightened her and also sueded her joints using the cloth type bandaid and she now stands & poses perfectly. Not quite sure how long this type of sueding will last, but who care's. It was so simple to do, I'll just re-do her when the need arises.
Sorry can't take pics as I don't have a camera yet.
So far I have Mellow Cole, Dark Cocori & Lt gentle Cocori.

    15. I will, I had to wait until Saturyda because I'll be home when it's actually light outside. Plus I have to restring her and give her a face yo, which I think I'll send her out because I scared to give her a face up ;-;

    16. Ahhhhhhh:fangirl:
You have my favourite doll everrrrr :D
Can't wait to see them, when you get a camera! :D
      Congrats!!

    17. When I used to make china dolls, my teacher used sholl's foot pads to cushion the joints. It can be cut to the shape and size needed and it's adheasive backed. It might last longer.
      Just a thought!!
