Now I understand why they were so willing to do the dolls we are clamoring for. They won't have to do too many. Michelle (still hoping for Toppi)
I know, it's sad ;_; I doubt it will always be like this in the future, though. These dolls were made specially for the opening. Regular Limited releases will be just as easy to get as they always were, I think.
oh I wish I could get Madoka. I've been stressing out since this morning thinking about the lottery and how much I'll be depressed on the opening day if I did not win. anyway can't wait till the D-day. what time do you think people will be there. I've hear that people come 2 to 3 hours before the actual time.
Lovely. I wish I could just afford to jump on a plane and fly cross country to at least get a chance at the limiteds, but it ain't happening. Not that I'm bitter.
i'm going to try and get Mai. so they will be for sale at the opening (nov. 20th) right? and not at the thing on the 19th *bitter glare*
yay! thank you!! i was kinda crying earlier cuz i heard about the thing on the 19th ops: i feel like such a baby
This makes resisting Madoka easier than I expected. I hope Volks will do some kind of online after event for people who can't make it to CA.
I just got my invite as well!!! (even though my dolls have not been added yet and I sent in my registration on the umm 28th ops: ) And I'm glad it's 1 per type, not 1 doll only. Rachel
It won't let me in... It says it needs a password, and without it I'm not authorized to go there.
Just throwing out there, I'll be at the LA Opening things on both the 19th and the 20th, and anyone who wants one of the dolls but can't go can PM me and we'll see if I can help. I wasn't gonna do this, but they won't be offering them online, so.... And if I get picked for the Reception, I could try to get a one-off, too, but that's a lot less likely to happen, I think. EDIT: Okay, I've been...ah...inundated with requests. 0.o Wow. So...um...let's narrow it down a little. If I have to ship it to you, you'll have to pay shipping, of course. And I'm going to be charging a fee (as is normal in this kind of situation), to cover the fact that I'm going to have to stand around in lines for hours and hours, and get there hours early before the place opens, to boot. Even so, it's gonna be way better than the after-market price, that I can promise. **winces at the thought of some of those prices** ESPECIALLY for Shizu, the Madoka mold. EDIT2: Someone's already arranged to have me get her a Shizu, so I can only try for the other dolls now.
Last night, apparently, via the email you used when you registered your dolls to the Super Dollfie owner's list. Only those on the owner's list (or have at least sent int their registration, even if the site hasn't been updated yet) received the invitation, I think.
Wait, would they have One-Offs on the 20th? @_@ I remember reading that some of the one-offs will show up on the 20th, no? @_______@ Me so confused..... @@
It's nice for people to help others who can't make it to the opening out by offering to get them an LE at retail price. But I do hope no one here is considering actually buying these dolls only to scalp them on auction. Considering how Volks feels about scalpers, it would be best to respect their wishes. Not to mention that it's just really rude and unfair to buy up all these dolls to make a profit off of when there are other people out there who genuinely want these dolls and should have the chance to buy them at retail price. Only saying this because we did receive a pm about one member here who is planning on doing this and we want to make it clear that we do not condone such behavior. I think we should do everything possible to discourage the practice of scalping. Perhaps Volks should even be alerted about these scalpers...
