1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Tenshi No Sumika opens Nov 19th in LA

Oct 4, 2005

    1. Per the ad for the store opening in the Dec 2005 Haute Doll magazine

"Not only Super Dollfie, but also Super Dollfie Full Choice System is available."

    2. Would you mind scanning the ad for us?

    3. How cool. I'm glad there'll be FCS there. It's a lot easier to get to the other side of the country than to get to the other side of the world. @_@

      That, plus I know way more people on the west coast than I do in Japan. XD;

Still wish I could go to the opening, though! xD

    4. Ah, I think it would most likely be better for you to e-mail them, rather than me. I appreciate it, Aimee! :D

    5. yes, but they may be too busy on opening day to do FCS, that's the quandry.

    6. This is going to be the greatest birthday ever... I just got my plane tickets a few minutes ago, and I am so excited. This is going to be a lot of fun. I hope there's time for them to do FCS orders. If there isn't, hey, it's now within reach of a domestic plane ticket. This is going to be really, really, REALLY cool.

Ah, first mortgage payment, what doll will you purchase?

    7. Wow..this must be the first time ever that I wish I lived in America ^^'' (no offence)..I really, really hope that, one day, there will be a European store too..in Paris, perhaps? That would be so cool..or London..or *laughs* Amsterdam, yeah, like that's ever going to happen..still, it's nice to dream ^^

Good luck and have fun, everyone! ^^

    8. For the people interested in FCS -
I know that in Japan they suggest you make an appointment to create your new Super Dollfie, and I remember them saying it takes about an hour to sit with one of their FCS people to do it. I don't know how they're going to handle it here, but I would guess that if you're staying till Monday or Tuesday you may be able to get your doll ordered on one of those days - depending on how busy they are ... Just my guess,
      -Good Luck!
      -Am

    9. I think all you have to do is have all of your options chosen already, because I had my cousin do it for me and there'd be no point in making him sit down and choose since the doll was from my imagination. I'm not sure if the workers at this store will have really great English though, so you might want to have it translated to Japanese just to be sure it's exactly what you want? Be careful of what colours you say, your idea of 'orange' could be totally different from theirs, best to just bring pictures of everything. And don't forget to bring money for the downpayment.

    10. Hello Everyone:

So I sent Volks an e-mail regarding whether they will have FCS available at the opening because I too have been saving for months to be able to afford an SD13 doll and this is their response to me. :|

      Dear Customer,

Thank you for your affection to our Dolls.
Please be noted we have not announced any information about FCS in LA
store. The details of its opening event will be done on our web site
      when we find an opportunity.

We ask for your kind understanding.
      Thank you.

      Sincerely yours,
      Volks Web Site Service Center

Funny, I guess I thought that it would be available because of the ad in Haute doll Magazine... It's so hard to plan how many days to stay with so little information *_*

Hopefully they will announce something official soon!

      Hugs,

      Anna M.

    11. That is very strange. I guess we'll all just have to wait and see!

    12. Oh yes one either in Paris or London is good for me *day dreams*

    13. I feel bad because I know they must be overwhelmed with emails. I'm not sure what else to do though, as it's not that far from the date.

I guess I just urge people not to email them unless you have to. Unfortunately probably a lot of people are not even aware of this board and emailng them... I feel sorry for the one guy having to translate them all. I hope they aren't too overwhelmed!

I guess at this point all we can do is wait. they've made it clear in emails people have reposted here, and ones that I've gotten from Volks as well that they aren't going to tell anything until they are ready (and then they are going to post it publicly on their website). I think we, also, have impressed upon them how the waiting is making it hard on us to make plans well. So I think we've done all that we can.

    14. I just want to agree with Aimee. Right now all we can do is wait. The Volks people have alot on their plates right now with setting up the new store, the new beauty salon, the new shipping center. They have to get things built, stocked, comply with US and State laws, staff (which has to be really hard because the experienced people will have to be relocated for a period of time from Japan so that is not easy), hire and train new employees here, and then deal with continuing to run the business there in Japan.

So I understand why they may be hesitant to provide definite answers right now. Alot is being worked out, and somethings may not be ready by 11/19. I'm just going to be patient, because this is all going to be worth it in the end!

    15. I'm going with a friend. Luckily we only live a little less than 2 hours away from LA.
Unfortunately, I'm only going to able to look (and maybe touch... >_>).
      I won't have enough money to buy a doll at that particular time. D;

    16. How much do you think the FSC is going to be for a SD13 boy :daisy ?

    17. Oh Yes !!! Paris will definitly be a great location for a Volks Shop, ne ???
      Well, we still can dream...
London will be a great second option though (hum hum, a week end of shopping în the city !!! )
Well well well, lets wait & see !

    18. make sure that if you own a Volks doll, that you register :
      http://www.superdollfie.net/cgi-bin/ownerslist/index.cgi

I think that there may be some special opportunities at the opening for people who have registered in the SD club. I don't have full details yet. I'll let you know when I find out more!

    19. Does anyone know how soon volks will start taking FCS orders after their opening?
