blukat and House of Isis are the only two that I know of who won Manu.

 

I agree it does seem like a small amount. I hope that most of them went to real fans of the doll, and not just scalpers that have been eyeing Bermann as a profit maker. That would be such a shame.

 

I think maybe some people are afraid to admit it because maybe they already have a Bermann and got another one and maybe some people will be angry about that.

 

That's possible Cheryl, but everyone seems alot more level headed in general this time.

I didn't enter the fray for these so it's probably easy for me to pipe up and say "tell us if you got one", but personally, I'd much rather know they went to people who really love this sculpt, than scalpers.

And heck, if you have more than one, you CLEARLY love the sculpt!

 

I'm sure there are some that just aren't saying, for whatever reason. It's interesting, because we will eventually see them anyway.... But sometimes people just don't like to talk about it at first. There is quite a bit of tension about winning Bermann...

Agreed. I think it may be too soon since there are so many heartbrokwn people out there that do not have one and some of us have one and got lucky enough to win another one.

 

I went for, and won, the blindingly gorgeous L'Etranger - but I was holding my breath until my payment cleared. Now that it has, I've been really emotional. I keep tearing up when I look at his photos! I won't believe this is real until he arrives.

I'm thrilled for everyone who got lucky this time around, and truly hope that those who didn't get lucky do get their dream boys.

And I can not WAIT to see these guys all over the boards. All three of them are amazing!!

 

I agree...he's so beautiful, and it's almost like you have to feel guilty for having him. Hmm.... Bermann = Guilty Pleasure?

 

I tried for Phileas Fogg (yes I'm a Jules Verne fan) and failed rather miserably. (I missed out on Heimdahl too.)
Very happy for those who got to order any of these beautiful boys though.
I'm so bad at competing I can only continue to hope that Anu and Dollshe decide to continue the Bermann project, in numbers where slow-fingered me has a chance.

I normally don't say anything about incoming dolls, though, because I really like to do evil, surprise box-shot teasers when I get someone new. My Livejournal friends list can probably attest to that.

 

There are probably quite a few doll people in other countries who won dolls and do not speak English so they are not members here.

Kidding aside, I was extremely lucky and managed to somehow procure a Manu, also; I am still rather stunned by it, to be honest. And yes, I do believe that there are people who are somewhat hesitant to come forward just yet...which is perfectly fine. A part of that may simply have to do with solicitude - it's an emotional business.

Congratulations to everyone who will be bringing one of the Bermanns home this time 'round, and hugs for those who missed out on him...and know that I've got all of my fingers crossed for you for next time.

 

The one thing that leaves me wondering, is that, like Zagzagael, I have never received an e-mail ever from Tensiya, even though I am a registered member with the site, and ordered my Bernard from them. I never received an e-mail about Bernard, neither an order confirmation, nor a shipping notice. I did not receive the announcement of the latest Bermann release or the e-mail order form, or the winners notified e-mail, nothing. This leads me to suspect that my isp blocks their e-mails for some reason. (I've had the same situation with DoD.) The only successful communication I have ever had with them is on the 1:1 QA board.
I did not have my e-mail placing the order bounce back to me. So, what I am left to wonder is that could there possibly be winners of Bermann out there who do not know they were chosen, and just assumed they were out of luck because of no e-mail response. I am at peace with not winning Bermann because my e-mail was too late, but I would hate to think I lost him because I never received an e-mail and did not know to pay. I left a message about this on the 1:1 QA board, but have not yet received a response. Any one else wondering this? I almost posted this question yesterday, but thought I'd wait to see if the sold out signs started appearing on the Bermann's, which would have given me my answer.

does it mean Bermann will no longer be produced after the project finished?

 

I know what I am going to say is not going to be very comforting but to all of those people that did not win a Bermann, I was where you are once and not too long ago, I feel really bad that you were not able to get a Bermann this time but please do not give up hope. I had people say that to me a lot ( Helene comes to mind ) and even though it was hard to do I didn't give up.

There are plenty of more Bermann's out there and there will be more from Tensiya, your special boy will come home to you when the time is right. There is a Bermann out there for you.
