What I think is hilarious is that I posted way back on like... page 25 that I thought the whole priority list was unfair because it means that the next batch will be sold out. XD; And at the time everyone pretty much disagreed with me. It's funny how this place works.

What happened yesterday was fair and square. Whoever is on that list have earned their priorities. I think it is terribly unfair if they were just taken off the list just like that. They've earned it...

 

Dolpas. You wait in line for nearly 4 hours and have drawn a fairly good number. You're confident you will be able to get the ultra-limited doll you are so longing for, and have your money ready in hand to pay.

The person before you in line buys the last one.

Does that mean that that person should get priority in the after sales? I don't think so.

It was a fair and square fight, so why is the next Bermann release not going to be? The fight is all taken away. Many others don't even _have_ the chance at Bermann coming up. They don't even get the chance to fight.

This is the doll world. =/ Things happen. Honestly, I could have been one of the ones that thought they got him, but were then told not. I wouldn't want a priority list. That's just unfair. I was torn up for the past week about getting him, decided not to at the last minute, and am now even more torn up about the next Bermann release because of this priority list. Do I deserve it because I didn't go for him this time?

Just putting it in retrospect... ._.

EDIT: I don't want to sound rude, so please take my opinion with a grain of salt. ^^'; I don't want to upset anyone here, as I know they have probably wanted a Bermann longer than I've been into the hobby. So, priority list or not, I will still fight the good fight for Bermann and wish everyone a ton of luck with him! ^0^

I'm a little freaked because I look like Hound, though... o_O I wonder what he'd think of that: two people who look like his two sculpts. Hn... (and I actually didn't come up with the idea that I look like Hound. o_O about 5 others who don't talk to each other did.... x___x )

Thank you! I'm so worried about offending people, I don't want to come off as bad. ;__; But I can just imagine what it's like to go to a Dolpa and have your dreams smashed, just as what happened with Tensiya...

 

I do not think that analogy applies that well. When you stand on line at Dolphas, people do not take your money, tell you the doll is yours, only later to take it away from you. All those people were sent to the highest highs, being led to believe that that they have the doll they wanted for so long, only later to be sent to the lowest lows, their worst fears realized.

 

But it is fairly similar. It was a glitch in the system, and that's really unfortunate. =/ But I still don't think priority is the way to solve it.

I think it would be better to send out a free gift, give store credit, or something else that does not deter from other's dreams as well.

 

What I don't understand is why we need to crush these people's hearts even more by complaining to Tensiya about the priority list issue.

There is a degree unfairness on both sides, whichever way it goes. Why can't we just spend our efforts on something that will please everyone? Instead of going up to Tensiya and complaining about the priority list and it's unfairness, or on the other side, demanding a prioity list... why can't we just demand to compensate for all the extra dolls orders without harming the 77 planned orders? Anu does not have any idea how much coveted Bermann is, as was proven by her post earlier on and I keep on saying this. It might be next to impossible, but it's worth a try, rather than to try and crush each other's hearts really.

 

I really agree to this, wholeheartedly. However, I think it's a bit less likely... but I still wish for it. ^_^'

And if I've crushed anyone's hearts, I'm sorry. I'm just trying to seek something fair for everyone. ><

 

*hugs* It's alright hun, I understand. I can see the unfairness on your side, but I can see the unfairness on those with the false orders as well. These people are already very depressed at this point (if they wanted him that bad) and I don't wish to further this problem, at least not this time.

On the other hand, the rest of the people who wanted a Bermann but did not try for him this time would also feel angered towards the priority list because it means less dolls for them to get and an even longer waiting period.

I don't want to see us have problems just cause of this, to be honest the most constructive way is to suggest the possibility of 11-22 more releases of Bermann. This way, it will please everyone, including those who don't want him to be unlimited. I tmay not be what everybody wanted best, but it's a compromise. Now that we know Mr. Dollshe's personal site... though I am not sure we should (but he is gorgeous, sorry OT LOL), and now that Anu seems to have found out Bermann was more coveted than she thought he would be, then we can all make a stand.

 

It would be great if Anu would release some extra dolls to make up to the people who got one, then had it taken away. But I agree with KeiCai_Ayan, that this is a very unlikely scenario, and the priority list just isn't fair to others who deserve to have an equal chance at getting a Bermann as well.

 

Honestly, I think that's pretty crummy too. But, I had Bermann. He was mine. And poof, no more.
I don't like lotteries, I don't like randomness, and I'd be really freaking happy if everybody could get the dolls they wanted. But there's nothing much I can do about it. Whatever happens next is up to Anu; if she decides to keep the list, my name's going on it, and if she goes for the lottery, well I'm trying for that too.
Here's hoping the next realease comes soon, whichever way.

The best way and the fairest way is probably to compensate the next 11 or 12 with a bermann outside the planned 77. This way everyone is happy.

 

I did say it was next to impossible, but then it's worth a try, rather than have people squabbling whether there should be a priority list or not. I am surprised that Anu had no idea how popular he is. Let me make myself clear, I am not saying that he should be made unlimited. No way. This would take out all the effort, time and money people put on him. I am just saying to make more Bermanns (11 or 22 will do), and in variant forms of him would be awesome.
