1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Tensiya's release of Dollshe Heimdall DO Bermann discussion thread

Mar 11, 2006

    1. Isn't it kind of simple...to maybe avoid the same type of disappointments for next time.

Orders should just be taken first and then waiting until you get confirmation from Anu before sending the payment.

That would avoid frustations at receiving back refunds and thinking that because your payment went through you got one for sure.

    2. The analogy might be flawed, because there really isn't a comparison since it wasn't supposed to work the way it did.

However, the reasoning behind it is understandable. "What about those who didn't want this Bermann, but DO want the next one?" It eats you up, wondering if the people on a priority list are taking the next Bermann because they have a priority and they may not get the next one, rather than because they really like it. Which isn't dogging them, as if I were on the list I might consider it too. It just stirs up a lot of bad emotion either way. I don't think there's a happy answer.

      ~my 2 cents

EDIT: And wow, this took too long to post...

    3. Well there are going to be what, 5 more releases? Even if she does do the priority thing, that's 4 more chances, and 11 fewer people who want one.

    4. This seems like the obvious solution to me. They were able to determine who placed the first 11 orders. Then they have a certain time period in which to pay. If someone doesn't pay, that doll goes back up for grabs, just like the Delf Art dolls or the Volks limiteds.
I was really rooting for several people who wound up not getting Bermanns this time, but I don't feel that having sent payment due to a computer error should give someone priority. This doesn't seem any more or less crushing than when idrisfynn and I lost out on winning our first Bermann attempt by TWO seconds. We were jumping up and down and screaming, too. And then we had to go cry. But we got him the next time. We just had to pay twice his original price, which I don't regret at all.
It's not totally hopeless. There really are a lot more Bermanns to come. This will all sort itself out. And who's to say that many people who wish for a Bermann right now won't have their heads turned by some other yet-to-be-released boy? The serious ones will stick it out for as long as they have to, the rest will get distracted by something else.

    5. Yes that is an excellent idea.

The priority list is unfair, and something I as an artist and seller of one of a kind pieces would never consider for my customers.
Actually the above is exactly how I handle my business.. I post what is for sale, and allow people to email me if they're interested in the piece. I get MANY interested emails within seconds, but I choose the FIRST one and confirm they may have the piece if they want it, and how to make payment. Then once paid, I notify everyone else that he is sold.

      Simple.

    6. I think this is the best way. I don't want any lotteries. I think I explained why already. All they need to do is to bloody fix their servers (and their shopping cart software) and perhaps stop being greedy and allow people to order without paying immediately, as eLuts seemed to have handled it well. They don't need to "not release him on their site" anymore (as they mentioned they will do and are not comoing up with an alternative plan)... nor do they need to do a lottery.

But this is too late now, many people have broken hearts, many people feel betrayed. *shrugs*. Let's just all look at Mr. Dollshe and smile. XD. JK

    7. I don't think this applies at all.
How about you paid for the doll and the dolpa get a receipt with the confirmation number and then they tell you sorry it was a mistake.

We got the item, paid for it and had a confirmation number and then "puff" it was gone...

    8. When you place the order you have to pay right away to get the order number.
This is not like luts were you place and order and then you pay

    9. Thank you pony_gery, but the whole point to my above opinion is to put out an idea on how we could "Change" the current way of ordering on Tensiya and thus avoid all the disappointment and frustrations that just happened with this Bermann order.

    10. To me the fairest thing is to take all those people who are on the Priority list and give them a chance to get their Bermann. No, not a different Bermann, not the next Bermann, not the pervious but Hiemdal. Seriously, Tensiya made a mistake (well their server but it's theirs). We all agree. They need to fix this. The best way to fix it and not to upset anymore people by crushing their chances of getting the next Bermann is to make more of Heimdal. What i think is fair is taking the remaining people, making one doll per account (i.e. If someone ordered 2 or 3 to give themselves better chances, they only get one). I mean really, can't they bend the rules this once to make their customers and the whole dollfie network happy? I don't know about others but I don't think the people who got Heimdal would mind at all if their Bermanns were LE20 or something instead of 11. It hurts to see everyone like this.
E-mailing Tensiya and showing your dismay for the priority list isn't going to help them because they are concerned about these people they snubbed. Please, if you do e-mail them, give them an idea of maybe what can be done instead of the priority list, i.e. making more of Hiemdal or something like that. I don't believe in this priority list but on the other hand, something MUST be done for these people and I fully believe the only thing that will alleviate this heartache is a chance to get a Bermann. Do not disregard how their feelings and emotions have been thrown around and stomped on.
Thats just me thoughts....*sorry for any spelling errors or anything...i am very much sick right now and can't thinks straight...this stress did not help either*

    11. It was just an analogy to show that there are other dissapointments in the doll world. ^^'; I can't imagine what the person in line behind the person who bought the last Shinku felt...

    12. I think this is a very good idea as well!~ ^_^

    13. Hey, where are you? I've been waiting with my rope and duct tape for hours now. Get the car with the spacious trunk and come pick me up!

People, please don't be alarmed if Mr. Dollshe goes missing, we will keep him safe from the rioting masses, or some such thing.

    14. I think I agree with you, L-Lamb. That sounds like a good idea indeed. ^_^ <3

    15. Ditto on that, Yaz. <3 to everyone waiting and suffering out there.

    16. But he has to feel comfortable so I needed to get pillows  *brings out life-sized Dollshe-style pillows*. His hands need to be kept safe so he can make more dolls for us. :apirate: XD XD XD

Another photo of him is on the way (thanks to opalcorn), and if I remember correctly Bermann is supposedly his "mini-me".

    17. I think he looks like a young James Dean ^^'' very yummy.... I think he's waaay cuter than Bermann though...Aha! maybe the next dollshe boy will be a "Kim"...

    18. He's a complete hotass, is what he is.
Thirded the extra Heimdall idea, would Anu actually go for it, though?

    19. I was quite confuse about that, as I was one of the people who got refunded, so I asked. Momo replied very quickly that those who were actually paid and confirmed by tensiya will be the ones who have priority....I'm still confused since I am the one who paid but refund and not got confirmed(with heart marking) on the list.
Well, if I don't have priority over next Bermann, I will surely feel it's unfair(if I were on priority list, I will feel sorry to others, that's not good too)........now I totally give up on this, just don't want to ask anything again.
I definitely support the idea of making 11 or 12 more Bermann to solve the problem, so that no one will feel bad...TT

    20. Just for the record before the rest of this: I have been saving for Bermann since I got into BJD (couple months now?) and I lost days of sleep and refreshed nearly constantly. I got my order complete and paypal information, was ecstatic that I had gotten him ... and then realized there were too many orders and knew the pain was going to come after that. Yes, I got my refund and the offer of priority, but DAMN I LOST HIM AND IT WAS HIM THAT I WANTED.

Total agreement on this here. That was the way I would ASSUME the system should be. I sent a 1:1QA to Anu about it ... because if no one suggests it to her she may not necessarily think about it? :: holds up sign saying: SUGGEST IT, PEOPLE, SUGGEST. :: I really don't want to lose the opporunity to race for him again. And I really don't want a lottery because that just opens it up to the scalpers and those who don't REALLY REALLY want him.

I also sent another seperate 1:1QA about disolving priority /with/ revisal of that system and /with/ small shop gift/account points to those refunded. I don't think the priority idea is a good idea with such a highly coveted doll ... and know it's not when I'm not a good enough human being to refuse priority when I know others will accept it if it exists. I am really against it on the basis of it being unfair to those people who bowed out so that we could race for Heimdall.

And once again another seperate 1:1QA that was basically a lament (and was titled such) and what L-Lamb suggested about an expanded release for Heimdall because of the trouble ordering. Because that was a damn nice idea too and is definitely my dearest wish ... I didn't just want Bermann, I wanted /Heimdall/.

And I just talked a whole lot about nothing and about what everyone already said and I'm just going to shut the hell up now.

      Steph ^_^V
