Tensiya's release of Dollshe Heimdall DO Bermann discussion thread

I am in agreement with St. James. I'm reading what Anu posted on the site, and it looks like she said that the ones who got Bermann were the ones who ordered first. So I really think it's unfair that people are asking for more dolls to be given out. I mean, even if there wasn't a flaw in the system, those people would still not have gotten the doll. Yes, it's unfortunate that some orders were mistakingly confirmed, but I think demanding more dolls is sort of disrespectful. These dolls are very specially made, and are limited to 11 for a reason. Anu and everyone else involved obviously put their heart and soul into them. To start demanding more just because of a computer glitch is a little insulting, IMHO, even if you had a major dissapointment.

 

What's with all the negative crap going on here? What happens, happens. No amount of debating over the decisions made and suggestions prevented will change anything. It's all just a matter of time and patience, now.

 

Agreed. Wait and see what happens, is all. I'm sure Anu is just as stressed out over this as we are, if not more.

 

XD. Agreed. Now let's just enjoy the rest of the dollshe boys. Momo said they will release them this year, but no confirmed date yet. I hope they look more and more like Mr. Dollshe. XD. J/K.

Hi there, it's Momo here
We feel terribly sorry for this happening, so we decided to make waiting list with people who missed Bermann (only people who even paid and got confirm from Tensiya), and when we release next version of Bermann we will ask that people first whether they want that version of Bermann or not.. (We won't release Bermann through our site at that time) (Who got confirmed earlier will be asked earlier too)

I hope it will make you feel better

Also, we won't take order on Bermann through our online site any further to prevent this kind of happening.
We haven't decided how it will be like but we won't make people dissapointed like this time..^_^;;;

Akuneryu - That is what the message says. She's making a list of people whose orders got canceled this time and we get priority on the next batch. There's a good few pages of arguing over the fairness of this all, but that's up to Anu.

 

well it reads so... that mean those who had both the slips [paypal and tensiya] gets priority.... well its good and apparently they will not be using the buy it from webbie system.... hmmm i wonder...

it's all in Anu's hands... But I think I'll persue other dolls, I would love to own a Berman but it's more then unlikely now.. given the limitedness and the hype around the releases.

Then again, I might get lucky... who knows? it's in the past now.

 

Anu took the first 11 orders placed. So I'm taking her word for it that the first 11 orders placed are the first 11 people who are getting Bermann.

 

Um... did everyone (not the 11 winners) get their payment refunded?
What was the average turn-around time on that? 'cause mine still haven't been. Even though I was possibly the last one to pay...

Just to share my experience: what happened to me was I fumbled too long with CC pmt pop-up - first it wouldn't open, then I tried to use paypal and it didn't work, then I thought I should just give up, then I though maybe not yet, then I got the CC pop-up to work, then it asked for some weird phone numbers with only two digits for area code, then... basically, in the end I came back and paid through paypal.
Moral of the story: do not try to use CC next time. It's a (huge and pointless) waste of time.

And *today* I get a Tenshiya confirmation e-mail. Despite the fact that 11 lucky ppl are already posted on the page, etc. But no refund yet. Is anyone in the same boat?

I thought I was not going to get the doll, even though I knew I was one of the first to actually land the buy, and pay within less than 1 min. Yeah. I timed it. I pre-prepared everything. I was ready for it. Yet when it came down to it, because I did not recieve a comformation mail from Tensiya, I thought I wasn't going to get it. I delt with it. I was very disappointed. But I was not about to let it get me that bad. And I certianly wasn't going to bite off Tensiya and Momos' heads off about it. This is just how limited dolls work. The server lagged, and spaced to double the stock. Imagine how they must feel about this muck up. They are probably stressed, embarrassed, and feeling down right horrid about the whole thing, and how it went. So much, now; that they are probably not going to do this on their site again. They aren't a huge doll company. And they are doing this as they can. And they feel so bad for what happened, that they are trying desparately to rectify it.

Yes. I was mopey. But I didn't get vicious to others, and Tensiya. I stated that I was just SoL, and that was that.

I feel lucky now. And maybe a bit glad that being accepting may have affected some sort of karma. But never the less, count myself as lucky.

I am greatful I have been given this chance to get a Bermann. I am very greatful that planning it payed off. And very greatful to Tensiya for making this Bermann to be my perfect dream Dollshe Doll. Because this Bermann is just that. With his white skin, I thought I was dreaming. And now, I'm just beside myself that my dream doll is a reality.

Never the less. When I thought I wasn't going to get him, I accepted it.

Sorry to those who are in such discord. But there will be more Bermann oppertunities. I told myself this, as well.

Even if this next batch is priority, there will be another batch after. You may have to wait. But it is do-able. I was prepared to try again. Just kept a positive outlook. It does much better for one, than being downtroden, and bitter.

 

Is there an e-mail to contact Tensiya or is the 1:1 board the best bet?
I still have yet to recieve any type of e-mail from them >_< or get any type of contact.

dieCG, I just might as well quote everything you said, because those are my exact sentiments.

When I thought for sure I was being refunded, I didn't expect anything along the lines of a priority list; I was somewhat cheered to hear about it, though I wasn't clear on what it meant. Even then, it seemed unfair to default the entire next batch of Bermanns to those who were strung along this time for the crazy ride, even if it included myself. I assumed it couldn't be that, so I was somewhat shocked to hear that yes, that was the intention.

Honestly, I really do feel that the false winners deserve some kind of compensation. It was one hell of a night for me and I'm sure almost everyone else in the same situation. For something like ten hours, we didn't know what was going on, whether we had Bermann, what Tensiya was doing to solve the problem, and where that $1000+ out of our bank accounts had gone. Whether that compensation comes in the form of a doll, well...

I think the best solution would be to make more Heimdalls. That's what everyone paid for, and that's what they thought they were winning. But of course, this isn't a perfect world and I didn't think it would be feasible. Even if it were, I'm sure there would be people upset that the number of limiteds would increase, so that's really not the perfect solution anyway, but the one I feel would be the most fair.

Others have suggested gifts such as points for the site, and I think that would probably be appropriate, considering I don't think the expansion of the Heimdall line is possible. I wish I were more clever and could come up with something that would please everyone, but in this sort of situation, I'm not sure there could be a happy consensus.

I'm still unsure of how I feel exactly about the priority list, which is the reality of the situation now, like it or not. It's not fair either way and I selfishly admit I'm just glad I'm no longer caught in the middle.

I am not very happy with their decision to not offer him through the website though. I still feel all they really need is to adapt the same software that eLuts has, get rid of the paypal system (people are going to pay anyway, so there is no problem there) and invest on better a better server.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. ^^
