Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     1. I really wanted a Luts Romantic Yul in ws. (human body) and I saw one on the 2nd hand market place and I waited too long. That's the main one that sticks me in the gut.

    2. It's time to sit down and get comfy, cuz here's the tale I'm gonna call The Frustrating Ballad of Appini: Why Soom and the Universe Hate Me.

      I wasn't aware of Soom Appini/Shonki it's first release. When I finally did discover Appini (2012ish/2013ish I wanna say, thanks Flickr!) I thought they were the cutest thing! And I've never been too keen on white resin. I think around this time they started doing special re-releases and the free choice events. So my heart decided Bronze Appini. I also decided I'd settle for a normal resin release but wanted a tan resin version most of all.

      So life goes on and I'm thinking bronze Appini is still a ways off. So I go ahead an order my first bjd. I can't wait around for Appini forever, and I've always wanted a mini. Cue an FC Event announcement around two week later where grey, bronze and normal were available. :doh

      Since then I have found no bronze or grey appini's secondhand.

      And then there's now, during the tawny release. This short order period has been a rollercoaster for me. Appini was announced right after I find out about Bluefairy doing Baked Shiny Fairies, so I had to choose between the two. Only to have real life hit me with medical costs so I knew both were off the table. So I made a sad attempt to convince myself Appini is dumb and I don't like the sculpt (I really didn't like the faceup, and tawny is too light of a brown) but yeah. Wasn't helping. I was bummed. And then I got some overtime money and was all excited because it was now feasible to buy Appini. So I was all pumped, making plans for when the layaway would be over. And then I do the currency conversion. All my dreams fizzled and died and there shall be no Appini for me.:(

      All I can do is hope Soom makes enough extras that they'll end up in one of those end of year spare doll sales. Because in theory my finances will be more forgiving then.

      TL;DR Version of my tale of woe: There's some vague regrets. But most of all, Soom Appini. I think because of all the near misses, this one sculpt the most frustrating regret.
