    1. Well, I originally had quite a few SDs - they were the only size I was planning to collect. I truly did care for them, but then I went to our local dollfie convention... and was able to play with Pan's (Peakswood) little Hucky boy. Ever feel like you've been knocked off your feet, and everything in one moment just seems wonderful?

Yeah. That's how it was. The entire weekend I began to play with and look at more Yo-SD sized ones, and I fell completely in love. I still did love my bigger ones, but I went into a pretty bad time in my life last winter, and I took a hiatus from... everything. I became so emotionally disconnected from my dolls, and have since adopted them into loving homes. :aheartbea

However! I am back, and am in the best time of my life, and have returned to the hobby with amazing joy. I've just adopted a beautiful little Customhouse girl, and that feeling is back. I am absolutely in love with Yo-SD sized darlings. I'm sure they will be the majority of my collection; I even might get a few smaller ones.

I can't really explain it, but I guess I'm in the small minority of those who prefer the little ones. :) Not that I don't like the bigger ones; they're so beautiful, and I'm tempted ever so often... but my little girl just crosses her arms and reminds me that she needs friends her size, and not someone who will pick on her!

    2. Wow, so many have the majority being SD o.o

Ashers, I agree with you! I'm right with you in the minority of little dolly lovers. Though....it didn't exactly happen on purpose either! (They multiplied on their own, I swear)
For the longest time, I'd been looking at MSDs I'd been meaning to save for (I still am meaning to add them to my collection eventually.....keyword 'eventually'), and I even fancied one or two of the smaller SDs. But then, the Pipos basics all started to go out of stock and didn't come back...I had to get in there while the getting was good, right? ......Right?
So I ended up with the two that -never- ended up going out of stock (Ha har, points for judgment on my part....) and then they re-opened their basics in a Christmas special and I just had to get the other two I'd always wanted but never went through with.
Luckily they were all the best impulse buys I've ever made XD I love every one of them. (And I definitely don't love my MSD any less either! Win-win situation. )

So, count as it stands : MSD-1, Tiny-4

    3. Not counting the heads or the MSD that is coming, I got 8 SD sized. I also got 2 EIDs, 2 tinies, 1 Puki and 1 SO-type Orient-Doll XD.

    4. Actually I have more SD13s and 17s (around 62-65cm) than actual SDs, but since there's no 80/70cm doll around here I've put my vote for the SDs. XD
My family would be, not including heads nor incoming ones, 18 SD17/SD13s, 6 MSDs and 4 YoSDs. No tinies nor 70cm ones. ^^

    5. I somehow ended up with a majority of my dolls being tinies. No idea how it happened but I wouldn't change it for the world.

    6. Same here, roguegirl9929. :) I don't know how but I ended up with more tinies than anything else, and I just adore them. Besides, it takes 6 tinies to equal one SD, right? Right?? (Who am I kidding? XD)

    7. I totally agree. Don't know how its happen but tiny is always better!

    8. I tried SDs and tinies, but MSDs are what I like so now I just have two MSD and one tiny. And I am selling the tiny anyway. The only other one I want is a horse like Nightmare.

    9. I'd have loved to collect mostly minis, but I just couldn't find enough mature sculpts and height variation in that size . . . so I wound up with mostly SD size dolls! I will probably always have mostly SD's, as I am picky about scale and am not too good with younger child characters.

    10. SD is the majority in our house (5 in all), but after getting my MSD (and also after handling my sister's big 70cm) I'm actually starting to feel like I prefer smaller dolls.

    11. This poll gives me a good idea of why there are more SD clothes than MSD.

I have mostly SDs. Although I really like my MSD and Yo SDs too.

    12. I never thought I would want anything but SD.
Since joining DOA and seeing so many gorgeous smaller dolls I'm not so sure now

    13. Since I started It's been SD or above for me. My first was hound sized and so far, I've stayed within that range. Most of mine are 70cm or above but I have one SD and I love him to death. It's cool to see how the who owns what plays out in this pole. I may be quite the fan of the huge ones but I love to see the littles around :).

    14. Two SD's so far...three more on my wanteds list and only one MSD, so I guess I am rather biased :p

    15. Now look what you made me do!

I had to count my resin gang to work out how many of each I had!

I've got more size groupings than your poll allows for - but it didn't matter because Tinies win hands-down, there being ten of the little buggers.

      Teddy

    16. I have 2 YoSD at the moment, so I guess the kiddies win. ^_^; Though I have WAY more SDs planned than little guys...

    17. MSDs are currently in the leading position, but probably won't remain that for a very long time. I don't have an SD to check if that size is actually appropriate for me, but I do have a Yo-SD I find absolutely charming and easy to handle, so I'm afraid I'd get a Yo-SD hoard if given the opportunity XD
And if larger dolls are only bought on the "she's part of the story" principle, then the little ones come to my house "just because".

    18. This is a fun poll!

My tinies and MSDs are tied, but since I'm planning waaaay more MSDs I went with that.

Oops wait! I forgot to count a tiny! Ugh! Well, sorry ;__; But by the end of the year the MSDs will be ahead!

    19. Well so far I have in my home:
      2 SD
      2 MSD
      1 Tiny MSD (Orientdoll IL)
      2 27cm (Bobobie) YoSD i guess
      1 Tiny BBB
1 uuber tiny (Orientdoll Vampire dong)

on the way another SD (NobilityDoll Lie) and a DZ Leo BB and also I am going to buy a MNF Shiwoo scar head with BBB body next payday lol

So I guess the MSD's win it by default but my family keeps growing at the moment lol

    20. I have 6 SD size dolls and 2 MSD size dolls.
I'd like to buy more MSD and YoSD size dolls because finding doll size miniatures is easy for MSD and YoSD (especially YoSD size).
But MSD and YoSD dolls usually don't have grown-up faces/young adult faces/cool facial expressions.
MSD doll clothes are also mostly childlike and they won't match my taste.
So I collect SD size dolls. If YoSD/MSD has more adult-like face dolls then I'll switch.
But having an adult face with a baby body must be...weird. But if dollmakers modify the bodies of YoSD, then customers can't find an outfit :X
(I treat my MSDs as same ages as my SD dolls unlike most people. YoSD's same way.)
