1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

The waiting game

Mar 20, 2022

    1. I've been pretty lucky, the majority of my dolls took about 3-4 months. Even my Doll Chateau Arnold was shipped out before the estimated 6 months.

The only anomaly was my Tamikan Space Alien - I bought him in the beginning of May 2020. Covid wound up messing with their production meaning my doll wasn't finished until early February 2021 (and honestly I didn't mind the wait, because Covid was messing with everything!)

Then he was in shipping limbo for 70 days (which was the worst part of the wait) and finally arrived late April 2021.

I was about a week or two shy of a year.

    2. 5 months, a fairyland boy Ingrid.
Not too bad, but I was impatient at times.

    3. A bit more than 5 months from Soom.

    4. June 11th to September 19th, for a tiny from Soom. Barely over three months total is darn good.

    5. I’ve always purchased on long layaways if it was a new doll coming directly from a company, through a dealer in my own country. That way, the wait times seem reasonable, I don’t have to worry about anything other than sending a payment in once a month, and I can use the time developing the doll’s character and hunting down everything I’ll need for their arrival. It’s a relaxed way of doing things, and I’ve managed to bring home about 3 dolls per year in this way. Given that, I think the longest it took a company to ship to the dealer was about 8 months for a fullset Doll Chateau.

    6. 5 months on my Impldoll Lanny and 6 on my Dollzone Licht!

I am currently waiting on a Miracle Doll Ewan head since April this year.

    7. I think I waited about 7 months for my first LS doll. I guess it waa pretty reasonable

    8. 6 months was the longest I’ve waited but that includes one doll who got stuck in shipping and another who was ordered through a dealer which made the wait a couple months longer than ordering direct. I don’t order from companies that have typical wait times longer than 6 months.

    9. I think my longest wait was around 16 months for my Villitunes Minami. But her preorder kind of came at the worst possible time for delays in production and international shipping, so it was very understandable. She was worth the wait! As for non-artist dolls, I think Dollshe was my longest wait at 8 months or so. From what I've heard that isn't too bad of a wait time for that company, but I also didn't choose fantasy skin tones or anything unusual.

    10. i order from dealers so i usually wait about...6 months at max? DDE tends to be fast though

    11. 10 - 13 Months for my Shoushou Nikos-
Thing is I ordered the two dolls from one dealer about 3 months apart. I can't recall but I think I asked that they be shipped together? - in any case so it might just be more prudent to say 10 months in that case.

Currently on 7 month wait turning 8 soon.

I don't enjoy them, but I can accept them more with trustworthy, consistent makers who are clear about how long their wait times are.

    12. 9-10 months for my Dollzone Merlin. It was a hard wait as he was the second doll I ever ordered after joining the hobby and he was probably the fourth or fifth doll to actually arrive. I absolutely love him to pieces, though. He's one of three dolls I will never, ever sell

    13. 6 months for Dollzone Gray, 2022.

I have Doll Chateau head and body on order + planning to buy body from them too. Seeing waiting time for DC anytime from 8 months to 13 took my enthusiasm away :( Here's to hope that since both are blank without face-up or fullset I will get them faster…

    14. I think it was 3-4 months straight from luts

    15. About 3 months from Dollmore.

    16. I am always afraid that if I have to wait too long for a doll, I will lose interest or my taste will change by the time it arrives.

    17. Make that 42 months and still waiting. :abambi:

    18. One year, it was my first doll and it was during covid’s peak, therefore the waiting time was justifiable.

    19. @ParlourGoddess same!

Just realized that I have past seven months waiting on my Miracle Doll order! Although I did have my Supia order turn up out of the blue on tuesday after only 2 months waiting. I always find that once I pass a certain amount of time waiting, I actually sort of forget about it so it’s rather nice to get a surprise shipping notification.

    20. Less than 2 weeks since I bought from DDE.
