It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Thick eyebrows or thin eyebrows?

Jan 22, 2017

    1. I prefer thicker, but only because that's easier for me to paint XD

    2. I think it depends on the character. Some look better with thick eyebrows, some look better with thin!

    3. Medium to thick I guess. Nothing as big and dense as I see on fashion photos nowadays but I do like them a bit bigger. That said I usually do hide them behind bangs anyway

    4. I would love to say I prefer eyebrows a certain way, or another. Sadly, I suck at painting them in miniature head-sculpts, so I have to go with whatever I manage to paint at the time I do paint them on my dolls. Although, I do have to say I prefer them to work with the facial features of my dolls. I tend to prefer them natural-looking, and less super-plucked. If I could have it my way, I would have them be somewhere in between thick and thin, not leaning too much one way or the other. For the dolls that I own that are based on specific licensed characters, I try to imitate the style the character already has.

When I originally got my first blank BJD (2007), that I got to paint myself, I tried going for eyebrows that didn't suck too badly. I think I prefer bushier, a bit thicker brows on him because I think it makes him look manlier. However, I always tend to make them a bit neater every time I repaint him in more recent years.

I used to go all over the place with him however. I redid his face up (and modified him so much!), that I kind of got to try a lot of styles in-between the two, but never went full caterpillar, which I am kind of tempted to try, next time I repaint him.

    5. Like others are saying here, I think it depends on how you want to style the character. Personally I prefer thin, but I could see myself buying/asking for thick eyebrows if I felt that the doll needed them!

    6. I mostly have female dolls and I really prefer thin eyebrows! I usually do my eyebrows thin and relatively pale. Otherwise they always end up looking too dark in photographs to me!

    7. Big ol' fuzzy caterpillars! Especially on youthful dolls. Makes them look so cute! Or maybe im just biased because I have huge eyebrows myself HA.

    8. I'm a fan of a bigger eyebrow! I feel like, depending on how the faceup is done and the doll's style, it really adds some character.

    9. Medium? Hahah there's a middle ground you know! Which I tend to prefer, but I have some characters with thick and thin eyebrows, it's like big average and small breasts, they're all nice :P I like variety, but it depends on the character.

    10. I love thick eyebrows on little toddler like dolls! I’ve never met a young child that waxes lol.
