1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

thing you would love to see in the bjd world?

Sep 4, 2008

    1. I'd love to see some more manly dolls. :D That'd be quite amazing, bigger frames that don't look like a female if you don't look closely enough. :aheartbea

    2. I'd be there for Puki Lupi. Better start saving up, right?

      Ann in CT

    3. As Tiger baby said :"I'd like to see a doll 'system' wherein you could select a range of torsos, limb lengths, and heads to mix n' match. Wouldn't it be a fine thing to be able to select the height of your doll?
I'd like to see more option parts attached with magnets the way Fairyland does on their Pukis.
I'd like to see more doll companies co-operating with joint ventures and mutually-compatible product lines."

I too would like to see animals a bit less cute and in various sizes.

I dream of a real ball jointed doll with more freedom of movement...

    4. Yeah, I'm going to make sure I have the money all there just waiting because of course I'm going to want a fullset!

    5. hey what website do i go to to see fairylands dolls??

id like to see their style\

      never mind i found it

    6. :o They look like manly type men that would have chest hair if they were capable of growing it. Dear mother of Miyazaki, I think I just got a nose bleed! :fangirl: If I had a doll like that I'd try to make him look like Tarzan or Jensen Ackles! Oooo or maybe like the Govenator in his hayday. :aheartbea...

Um, something else I'd like to see in the doll world? A sheep. Yes. I'd like a little Sheep Dollfie I think it'd be cute and maybe have the wigs for said sheep made out of like wool! Ooooo or a chicken! :love YES! One that has like a little chick face Oh, that dollfie would fit in perfectly at my house. *Pokes at her cochin bantams* Chicken dollfie. Oooh yeah and maybe like those dollfies could have certain outfits made with some feathers and the male dollfies coudl have like little crowns that are a little bit bigger like a roosters!

      ...Does that sound stupid?

    7. dollzone has a sheep

    8. For reallies!? Oh okay then that request was answered by magic. Yay, I'm magical. Then I demand there be a chicken dollfie. :whee:

    9. I would like to see more furniture in modern styles. I've seen lots of beautiful victorian pieces, but I would rather put my doll on something I would buy for my own home. Well, maybe not for my own home, because I honestly can't imagine my dolls having the same taste as me... but something modern, anyhow.

I, too, want to see more dolls with optional parts that attach by magnet. They're doing it with MNF hands now, why not other pieces too? MNF Shiwoo's are just ASKING for kitty ears. My biggest requests on that front would be: horns/antlers, animal ears and tails, and fish or reptile fins. I love seeing them on dolls, but I really think I'd prefer them to be removable. Transformation dolls would be lots of fun, for stories and for play.:aheartbea

I know there's one more thing I'm going to get frustrated with, having started with Pullips: eye positioning. I want to see a way to easily change the position of a doll's eyes, without having to mess with putty. I hate putty.:x

    10. that's abit to manly 4 me ok I want him to b a teen and he just has to have a head that doesn't look like a girl.

    11. they make a doll head that had little things on the side of the head that you can push in or out and they move the eyes for you

      go to youtube and search
Unoa Quluts Eye Mechanism and watch the short clip

oh and they make a head i think its called a haruka head that has little rubber rings around the eyes that you slip the eyes into and you dont need putty

    12. Thanks octobercrow, that's fascinating. I'm not especially interested in Unoa (especially with the price!), but it's good to see that such a mechanism exists outside of Pullips.

But I do wish that there were other dolls that made it so easy. I know some dolls have little "pockets" to stick eyes in, so that putty isn't required, but there are dozens, if not hundreds more molds that don't.

    13. oh i didnt know unoa was expensive, what website can i see their dolls at?

and yeah i agree they dont have nearly enough molds that have pockets or the things that unoa dolls have, but hey if the hakura head and the unoa heads get popular enough the other companies might start making them too!

    14. I wish companies would sell really tall BJDs, like maybe around 4-5 feet tall! O . O
and that those dolls wouldn't be just a boy doll or a girl doll but also have a genderless option.
and color changing eyes would be cool like they change colors every hour or so and for BJD companies to have a few stores in every country so that it would be easier for us the get them.....NO LONG WAITS! ^^
and....there's so many other things.....I'll post again when I remember the rest.....

    15. - More recognizably male dolls.

      - More realisitc-featured dolls. Or at least more that deviate from the big-eyed, small-mouthed anime style.

      - Less goth/scene/lolita fashion, and more creative couture.

    16. i know, id love to have closer stores, i guess im pretty lucky cuz colorado is right by utah but still THEY have to wait to get the doll to send it to me so i guess its still the same wait, just less shipping

    17. I completely agree, that would be so awesome!
a doll system to choose exactly the doll you want
and for them to move more freely too, wouldn't it be awesome if someday in the future they made that and that they could move on their own too :)

    18. they are doing that too! making a robotic doll! look up "living doll" or something like that on youtube
