1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    2. Plot twist: it's the Tintin from the Belgian comics

    3. All the nude photos of dolls I either look at or have stored on my phone. Usually sales photos or resin yellow references but still would concern anyone not into dolls. Lol

    4. I'm printing a body at 1/2 scale. It's gorgeous.
Cue me running around the house: "My boobies are so pretty!"

    6. Don't these heads look like they're completely different in scale?? Yep! "Realistic" scale vs "old school" scale :whee:

      So it's ironic that:
The smaller head on the left goes on the tallest and biggest body in my crew - 69cm. (Morolab2 Kaska, 14/6mm eyes, 8.4inch or 21.4cm head circumference)
The bigger head on the right goes on the shortest male body in my crew - 62cm-ish. (Dollstown Mui, 16/8mm eyes, 9.1inch or 23.2cm head circumference)

Doll proportions are SO goofy :lol:

    7. Ohoho yes, this is one I know too well!

My first doll, Mathonwy, is very old school and very beautiful, and even dolls I bought back at the same time are just more in the semi real style, so he doesn't match them well at all. I am thinking of letting him out of that storyline-group and letting him just be his own lil guy. I just love both styles so much!

    8. @Rosslyn It's a lot harder when the oldschool doll is the odd one out of everyone! Thankfully I have 2 other bigheaded oldschool dolls apart from my DT Mui, and one of them is his significant other. So they can all chill together in their endearing bigheadedness. (All 3 are also the shortest 1/3s in the collection. :XD:) But my entire doll crew is an ensemble cast from the same storyline, so I'm taking photos of them together, proportional wonkiness be hanged. ...I've done it so much that I honestly don't see the proportion wonk anymore :sweat

    9. There was this one time when I got some optional parts for my dolls and on the customs declaration the description said the package contained "various body parts"... :sweat

    10. :XD:
That's hilarious. I wonder what the customs people thought.

I once had a doll from china declared as "adult toy".
It's a bit of a running gag around here. Even outside of the hobby I've had some funny ones. I got a pack of guitar picks declared as "plastic sheeting" once. A friend had a guitar marked as "hand tool". Luckily, the number code has always been correct so I don't know if anyone actually reads the description.

    12. I wondered about that too and had a good laugh about it. It was also one of those times when for a moment or two the thought crossed my mind that “I will not be entirely surprised if there is a follow-up question or two about this….” :doh

Haha that is amazing! Not what you want written on a customs declaration perhaps but very funny! “no no, not that kind of adult toy, I swear!” :sweat

I can confirm that customs do indeed check the description (if it’s an automated process or not, no idea, but it’s a good idea to keep the description as specific as possible). I know this has changes a bit over the years but in the last few years I’ve had packages rejected and returned because the description was missing entirely, was too vague or was in languages other than Swedish and English. I have also talked to customs a few times to get a better understanding on how to write the declarations to be sure there ae as few potential issues as possible and they are always very helpful and friendly :)

Haha indeed  There ae so many opportunities for jokes about what such an online store might be called :whee:

    13. I'm so sorry, but the doll being declared as "adult toy" by China cracked me up real hard!:lol::lol::lol:

    14. My theory is that it was innocent language slip, because children's toys are quite well regulated when it comes to materials and how they are made and, needless to say, polyurethane is not a material that is suitable for children's toys. So they probably wanted to make sure it wasn't rejected because it was taken for an ordnary toy. But it's much funnier out of context. :XD:
