Things that annoy you... *Rant Thread* - pt.2

omg THIS! >< and in 'data base' lists.... It's like scribbling in someone elses book... and 10 in a row single replys... all just to increase post counts -_- And always if you check the persons post count... have yet to see a count under 15 and you know they are about to lose 10 for being in somewhere not allowed ... I actually gave up reporting them...

 

I still report them, but it gets really tedious when someone's gone and hit a ton of news posts and you have to wait for the timer to reset so you can report the next post... I end up doing it while waiting on builds at work, too, so now the words "news" and "chat" are liked forever in my suggestive text, and that annoys me too.

 

omg lol the timer ... don't you just wish there was a 'bulk report tool' some times lol

 

Right now, what annoys me is that all the hardware stores in town only have respirators in a size medium. I would like to patronize local businesses when possible, but I also have a petite face and would kind of like to not-die.

 

Or a "report user" rather than "report post" function.

That might get confusing and/or abused though.

 

As someone who likes the mature aesthetics but isn't fond of the huge size of these dolls, I can feel your pain. I'd happily throw my money at a company that makes 1/4 scale dolls with a Dollclans-like vibe.

 

Even if it was just within one thread, like the "+ quote" button! I work around it sometimes as much as I can, but being able to click each short post scattered through a thread would be great.

 

I know it's been mentioned a gazillion times by me alone, but - companies that don't sell heads and bodies separately. I understand if you don't want people to scramble up your artwork by hybriding (doesn't mean I like it, but I get it). But what about people who already own your company's bodies and don't have space for how many more full dolls? And would just like to be able to swap out heads, on the bodies they were intended for? Let me throw my monies at you without getting stuck with half a dozen bodies I don't need and can't sell because the MP is already overflowing with them

 

I feel you, @Jany, though I'm after some of the bodies! Especially if you do a lot of event heads that have special means of connecting *cough*FairyLand*cough*, you should be giving people the chance to choose whether they want to share heads or have full dolls, not forcing them into whichever line you picked out.

 

Tutorials with broken image links are the bane of my existence today.

I could name several, but right at this very moment I'm seriously fed up with people who judge other dolls just because they are not perfect in their eyes. I've heard and had some serious hater comments towards collectors who like "cheaper" companies, or don't have that perfect spot on face up on their dolls. Or maybe use acrylic eyes. It bothers me, that those people are very super proud of their dolls and love them, and then someone comes and says they don't look nice. It's like a slap against your face. You've made something that you adore and find attractive, and in a heartbeat you feel disappointed towards your work because some meanie told you your doll isn't beautiful. I'm all for _nice_ critique, but plain badmouthing is really annoying me. I've been told that if I don't have anything nice to say, I don't have to say anything. This is not a declaration of war to anyone, just a thing I've learned during these + - 6 years on the hobby. Be nice to each other, please.

 

Today I'm sad bc I'm trying to shop for eyes and wigs and so many of these threads have broken photobucket image links. Why do people even still USE photobucket?????

 

Shipping from Russia to the US is... weird. And slower than proverbial molasses in winter.

I have two little "creature" dolls (Infinity, my gold Cuarto dragon, and Squiggles, my waterbear-) *somewhere* in transit from Russia at the moment. The dragon's tracking hasn't updated since December 4th. I was never given a tracking number for the tardigrade, but it was sent via airmail sometime around November 20th. Neither has arrived yet.

I WANT MY BEASTIES!

Of course, wait times in general can get ludicrous anymore. I'm on Month 7 now of waiting for Hypatia's pieces from DC and DZ. (She'll be a DZ Grey head on a DC centaur body-) *sigh*

 

Eye makers who make gorgeous eyes I want to buy multiple pairs of...but don't make anything smaller than 14mm. Which is huge for my current collection. *sigh*

 

Bullies. Those people who are just mean, inside and outside of the hobby. No matter the reason (good cause, hurt feelings, particular beliefs) behind their behavior, if they are being mean, I don't like it.

 

Yeah, it took awhile for Eternity (my other Darkhorn) to be cast. Infinity was a "ready-made", so she actually shipped fairly quickly. It's the postal system that's to blame here, not Cuarto. They held Eternity in Customs forever, too, so I'm not really surprised it's taking this long for Infinity to move.

The waterbear is just a complete mystery. There's no telling where Squiggles is, since I was never given a tracking number.

 

I may have to. All I got was a vague "We're ready to ship yours. It ought to go out next week."... No follow-up about exactly when it shipped. No tracking number. Nothing.
