1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Things that annoy you... *Rant Thread*

Dec 11, 2014

    1. I agree, only from a Canadian standpoint. OUCH.

    2. Completely nothing that can be done about this, but.....I really need more hours in a day. And more overtime. Overtime pays for the dollies. But overtime kills my sewing time to make them clothes and that's why I love them.....grrrrrrrr.

    3. Not knowing the eyes I order with a doll are high dome when she needs low dome ones.

    4. It's kind of a small thing, but not all companies show blank photos of their molds. I have some dolls that are members of a family and the resemblance would be a lot easier to see if I didn't have to mentally remove a face-up on the sculpts I am comparing.

    5. IT IS REAL
some shops doesn't offer picture of non-face up head. what the hell, the faces are totally changed by their face up. customers must see it's original mold without any face up before they buy it!

    6. Ordering clothes that turn out to have tiny buttons and buttonholes and tiny buckles instead of Velcro. I have physical issues with my hands so I can't manipulate such tiny things. I ended up using needle and thread to close up the shirt cuffs and cut tiny pieces of Velcro to solve other problems. This problematic outfit was from Dollzone. Looks lovely on Aoife now but took some work.

    7. My biggest annoyance at the moment is finding boy clothes and wigs for pukipuki sized dolls (11cm). There's always plenty of girl things- and plenty of girl wigs. Not so much for the boys. :(

    8. You might want to look at Volks clothes, they use velcro and snaps fairly often. The big problem is getting to them before they sell out.

High domes on eyes are a peeve of mine, too. :| I'm sure it's been said before but: lovely outfit for a tiny. . . until you get to the shorts/pumpkin pants. :doh Really, can't they have scaled down adult-looking fashions?! Not everyone wants to dress them as toddlers. It is more of a problem for the boys, I've seen a good amount of scaled down clothes (elaborate ball gowns, etc.) for the girls in that size.

    9. Latidoll doesn't seem to have any dolls in stock no matter how many times I look. White, Yellow, Orange Green...every single freakin one is sold out all the time.

Do they only restock once a month or something? :...(

    10. The fact that something that costs 200USD ends up as 900 in my countries' money.
And the Dracula I wanted so bad became from 800 to 3000+.

    11. The fact that doll companies were quick enough to adjust prices upward while the USD was low, and now that it's slowly reaching a level that can put quite the dent in non-US sales the prices stay the same ...

    12. Yellowing and especially bad joint system. The second doll I had, he wouldn't be properly jointed at the chest, his arms and knees wouldn't listen too. Yes, you can go to the forum and find a handful of threads that will tell you how to fix the doll, but - for a doll of such a big value, why do we have to pay so much, wait so long, and finally be disappointed after opening the box?

    13. Ah, yes, your local currency sucking deeply for what seems like forever. It's a little depressing to realize that you need to save up hundreds extra in your money (and take even longer to hit the buy button) to cover the difference in exchange. If the doll is limited....

    14. So I'm in Hong Kong now and I tried going to Dollheart. After 30 minutes of walking around the place, I finally found it....only to find that it was closed with a little printed notice in Chinese that I cannot even understand or picture because two girls were blocking the sign. I saw the website though and decided to check it but had no notice of anything. I'm so annoyed that they were so hard to find and I wounded up with nothing to show for my trip to Hong Kong. I was planning to buy stuff for my first boy :((( if anyone knows what happened, I would really like to know.

    15. My peeves
-Finding a limited edition doll once the event is over.
-People who are actively horrible to other people in the hobby, I don't care what doll they have people have no right to judge or bully them based off it. We are in a hobby which people outside of it judge us for so why judge others within the hobby?
-People who can't just keep their opinions about recasts to themselves weather it be for or against, either way you are just making it more known that they exist and that people do obtain them either by mistake or purposefully.
-Having to wait for the right weather conditions to do face up's and such.
-When companies or dealers don't post neck measurements or what size eyes fit the doll.
-When people go against paypals rules
      -Scammers
-That most of the fairy kei style clothing is minifee size. (it's especially annoying since I like chunky sculpts and fairy kei)

    16. Really now.

    17. >I dont like when companies sell clothing only in full sets instead of pieces. It just feels like Im being ripped off.
      >I can't stand companies that won't respond to emails. If I'm expected to hand over hundreds of dollars than you can at least keep me updated with production of MY DOLL when I ask. And no, I dont bombard them with emails. I usually wait until about 2 months in before I start asking anything.
      > I cannot stand people who charge seller fees. You are robbing people, its unethical as f*ck and I honestly read that as someone with little integrity that they can't even hold themselves responsible for their own debt. I don't mind paying them in group orders but for single items, dolls and whatever from someone selling second hand... nah. I end up paying them most of the time since if i want a doll that badly I'll get it. But I'm doing it with a grudge.

    18. Seriously? o.O You really think that if recasts (and that they're wrong) aren't talked about anymore, no one will buy them anymore and they'll just, like, go away? o.O

    19. A ranting thread???

OK... here I go..... Can't get work done..... too much work and very little time... it's my fault for not getting work done..... HOW is that my fault?????:...( Waiting for IoS to release pix and "Pre-order" on
Sebastian Doll, I'm on the edge of my limit..... :...(

Only have one doll now... and.. ME want MORE dolls.............

    20. Current annoyance? I want to buy a tan PUkifee from FL before their event ends...but I also want a full set of extra hands. They aren't offering hands now though, and I'm afraid if I buy them later, they won't match. Such tiny problems, but it's keeping me from feeling completely confident ordering right now. :/
