1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Things that annoy you... *Rant Thread*

Dec 11, 2014

    1. I remember looking at a somewhat recent soom LE, and on all the closeup pics the doll had half its face covered in hair.
Seriously if you're going to do this you should ABSOLUTELY have a mugshot plain picture of the doll without its wig on at the bottom of the page. Iplehouse is a gem with this. They post both a clear picture of the faceup AND pictures of the sculpt blank. I wish all companies did that :/

    2. sahoma I agree. They should all follow Iple's example.

I get a little frustrated when I see owner pics posted in the forums and there is no doll identification except the character name. I don't own every doll, so I can't recognize most dolls by sight. If I see a doll I really like, I would love to know what it is. But so often I have to click on the person's profile and do searches for every doll on their list, to see
if I can figure out which one it is.
I always try to I.D. my dolls when posting pics. My dolls might be obvious to experienced collectors, but not to everyone.

    3. Right now I am specially annoyed with the lack of SoulDoll Vito clothing, but I am in the process of solving this issue in the next months so I am very chilled atm.

Another thing that is driving me mad is the fact that I have been watching my flickr and other platforms where I upload the photos of my dolls and found out that they were showing in the weirdest colours and lights, but I can see them perfectly when I check them on my own computer.
I guess it is the fault of my editing program but I do not know how to fix it T_T

    4. Can I add to this thread again?

I am so bothered by my girl's weird measurements x__x I'm going by the measurements for the Lovely Body on LUTS and my, they are strange. Her upper body is SD13 size, and her lower body is SD16. I already had her clothes planned out, and it's a bummer that most of them have to go. :( I just want to complete my wardrobe for her before she gets here, but why is it such an arduous task orz

      AND---
USPS needs to stop delivering my stuff to the wrong address, this has never happened to me before and now it's becoming a regular thing I have to deal with. I'm glad they're just small items, except for my New 3DS they left outside a different house's porch (thank GOD I got it though), and if it were my dolls I would probably wrestle the mailman LMAO

    5. mionnaise wait until your doll arrives and you have a chance to measure her yourself before you panic. I don't know how Lutz is, but 2 of my dolls from other companies had measurements slightly different than what it said on the site.

    6. @ParlourGoddess I know it's more ideal to wait for her, but some of the clothes I'm buying are limited so I have to get them before they're pulled out of the website hahaha. I did message LUTS a while back, and they did say that the new SDF Girl bodies (5&6) have different measurements, the obvious change being the waist and hips. I like buying clothes in sets most of the time because I'm an awful coordinator LOL, so it's a little upsetting that 50% of the clothing wont even fit her if I buy them.

    7. I never thought I would have this problem but I figured out why hentai blogs have been following me on tumblr, it's the BJDs. Yesterday night I rebloged the new Souldoll kid girl body, and what do I wake to? Hentai blogs following me. Do other people have this problem, why is this a thing? I'm screaming on the inside.

    8. Oh yeah, totally.
Some time ago I uploaded a reference photo that had some giant naked doll boobs in it. So I figured I'd be nice and tag it as NSFW, and then 4 porn blogs started following me lol.
Personally I don't mind much, because they haven't reblogged any photos and added some weird porny caption to it or anything. So I'm good XD

What annoys me is when you have discussed a sale up until payment and then the buyer just stops replying, even though you see them posting. And then you try to contact them another way and they still don't reply. Meanwhile there's another buyer waiting but you don't want to be a douche and cancel the sale with the other person. But I had to be that douche yesterday.
This all happened outside of DOA by the way. But arg, the anxiety it gives me D:

    9. I hate the fact that people don't dress their BJD's properly or let them pose badly on pictures. It gives me the shivers really..

    10. Major first-world-bjd-problems here... but I'm so annoyed that it looks like there's only going to be the one, big-busted body for FairyLand's new Fairy Line body, at least for now. I'm completely in love with the tail, but to fit my idea it really needs to be on a male body (and probably a Karsh head); if the only option is Sia's head and huge tracts of land, that's just not going to cut it. :sweat (Who am I kidding, I'm going to order her anyway, and just wait for a male version to roll around.)

    11. People who charge 100% retail or even more for obviously used things that are commonly available, like wigs. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a very much used item selling for full retail or even more plus shipping even though you can go just about anywhere and get said thing for that brand new, at the same price or sometimes less. A rare item, that's one thing, but seeing a non-limited wig listed that costs so much brand new that's obviously a few years old, and that looks it, listed for full retail just annoys me. Ditto, non-limited low end, not anything like new dolls being basically scalped for more than they'd cost new from the company shipped. The other day I saw a RS doll that was older, chipped here and there, yellowing, going for more than retail plus shipping on a brand new one. There was no special face up, no extras plus they wanted $30 to ship it to someone. I mean it was just totally illogical what they were asking. That same doll I could order it directly from RS, have it in two months and pay $70 less. The only thing I can think is either they are hoping to take advantage of a BJD newbie who doesn't know any better or they really don't want to sell that doll but have put it up anyway for whatever reason. I know it is the prerogative of the person selling a doll to ask whatever they like but to me it's pretty pointless...

    12. The large bust on Fairyland fullset dolls drive me crazy. I do wish they would offer a smaller bust option. But then they would have to make the outfit for different size busts and I'm sure that would be a nightmare for them.

    13. That bothers me on all dolls. I will never get why so many BJD makers are obsessed with creating such huge bosoms. If anything they should be made small or medium sized and the large size would be an option. Speaking from experience, cough, it's much easier to clothe a smaller bust than a large one. You usually need a lot more material when you're bigger up front. One thing I do like about Miro Doll is that they do have a small bust option now on their female bodies. I love Mirwen and I finally have one, a head anyway, but the body she comes with just isn't for me at all. On a slimmer body with far less boobs she's awesome. On her official FL body all I can ever see is her chest and it's just too much. With that doll the face is all. I don't need the distraction of boobs the size of cantaloupes.

    14. ^ This. So much this. I have a Siean head and I'm still looking for a body for her ... for that very reason.

    15. Totally agree on Fairyland full set bodies. I can understand only offering one bust size per release, so the outfit can be made to fit perfectly. But why not vary it? Make one a Moe line with glamour bust, then the next an Active line with small bust, and so on. I just end up ordering a-la carte so I can get the cutie or small bust.
Also, why not give the different bust options for Moe and Active line? We know they fit! I'd love a Moe body with a cutie or small bust.

    16. When someone throw you something with out asking it thinking is playing and interrupt u while putting together your doll.

    17. Starting to think tracking numbers are sentient creatures that hate me.
      That, or I'm too impatient.
Still feel like ranting about it though.

On another note, I can't seem to find the right kind of outfits that I'm looking for lately. Normally I'll find something right away but now it's pretty much a dry spell. Same with wigs.

    18. When multiple doll companies you'd like to order a doll from all offer exactly what you'd been hoping/dreaming/waiting for (or never thought would happen), and put up the doll for sale at the same time for a limited time and you can only afford 1 doll.

      Soom-Idelian 51 Hyperion sale from Sept.25-Oct.11
SoulDoll-all Vito boys in sandy brown resin with a guarantee shipping date of 1 month from time of last payment
      Soom-FCE boy faery

Why must you torture me so?

    19. That shoes never quite right they always seem just a little off.

    20. I thought I'd had my "rant" already but can't see a post, so I'll risk duplication by doing it again ....

In the Western world we've become a society used to being able to have things pretty instantly, and I'm no better than the next person when it comes to waiting ..... So what really hacks me off is all the waiting that is involved in this hobby. Why can't companies make a general stock of dolls and accessories that you can buy and receive fairly quickly? I understand that special orders or limited editions will always take longer, but I do hate having to wait for dolls to be made, and then the long wait for them to arrive. I can't think of any other area in my life where I have to put up with this? If I have to wait 8 weeks for you to make my sofa I probably won't buy it.

However, today I've heard that Junky Spot tend to sell from stock, so maybe I'll get on over there and make them my preferred supplier??
