Things that are hard to find that you would like to see more of

Early medieval and medieval weaponry - swords, bows, lances, shields, battle axes, that sort of thing. Not fantasy-ish. Idem, medieval clothes that don't look too fantasy-ish. And of course Sd-sized HORSES!!!111!%!!!

Stuff for dashing knights, in short .

ETA: forgot to mention medieval Irish brooches. The world SO needs medieval Irish brooches for dolls. Well, I know I do... *grins*

 

I second this... I don't remember subscribing either. But it is a thread I look at every so often, so...

Fantasy clothes in all sizes that are...different. My gosh how many times have I looked only to find yet another crushed velvet dress or pointy-front (I'm sure there is a style name for that but I don't know the vocabulary) vest or tunic. Not that there's a single thing wrong with either of those styles but... moar please?

Maybe more holiday things... like more costumes for Halloween. At the rate I'm going, I'm not going to have the ability to get anything to do what I'd wanted to do for my dolls, and there's only two or three more weeks until Halloween.

Maybe some Christmas props, like little trees, stockings, and such?

 

Non-converse tennis shoes for the biggest boys. Tatsuha is supposed to wear nike-alikes, but yet when I go to look for them in 70cm size, they're practically non-existent.

Also, pants that fit a Spiritdoll Proud body that actually CLOSE! He has two pairs of pants and neither pair close/zip up on his beefy body.

I would love more SD and MSD sized instruments! Like a piccolo, a flute, a violin, a clarinet, etc!

 

Try American Girl for MSD sized instruments. I had to find a cello for a character and they had MSD sized one...so he's going to be a MSD now.

 

Punk/goth/alternative YO-SD clothes.

Accessories in 1/4 and 1/3 scale overall, that can be found in regular toy stores and don't cost a lifetime of savings >.<

 

No trouble at all, since I can make pretty much anything I'd like myself mwuhahahaha!
Only things that need electronics, or need to be made out of metal or leather can be a pain sometimes.
The only trouble I can think of is when it's too expensive to get or too hard (and mostly also expensive: Either in the way expensive materials or in the way of it being too time-consuming) to make it myself, for instance because I would need specific instruments or machinery.

I would definitely like to see a lot more graphic tee shirts and more tom boyish clothes for girls. My girl is Not a prissy girl and she definitely seem out of character wearing a frilly dress.

 

Armor, there is hardly any armor for sale. Nice looking armor.

 

Medieval clothing and accessories that don't look like they came from a Renfaire or an anime.

 

SPACE SUITS! Especially futuristic ones, for space fighter pilots, that are some kind of a hybrid between a space suit and a g-suit. I don't think they exist anywhere, ever. Ah well, I think I'll have fun making one.

Short wigs for boys. Guns (more than pistols) and weapons. Elaborate fantasy robes and armor for men.

Um... Cute, frilly clothes for Yo's that aren't dresses.

 

This, too! I see a lot of wigs tailored more towards an anime-esque look, and I've also seen wigs that look like Justin Bieber's hair.

I guess, physically, it's hard to get a lot of short, men's hairstyles into a wig form. You probably have to have the hair a certain length for it to be rooted... and you'd see the wig cap through the hair, probably, which might not look good aesthetically.

If I could find cool futuristic jumpsuits, all of my dolls would be wearing them, alas I lack the sewing skills to make them myself.

I would LOVE to see more Cyber/industrial clothing and accesories.

Another thing thats suprisingly hard to find, is a PLAIN black girlstyle t-shirt, so that i can transfer band logo's onto it XD I have a punk/rock band-lover girl, with no band shirts!


@Nomi800: why not just buy a long/midlength wig and cut it down to size?

 

I think J-pop has those but they are nonetheless an uncommon thing.

I would love to find a company that just sells a lot of fantasy parts. I have characters from a story that are rabbits, dogs, birds, etc. I want to find just parts to augment to regular dolls since I don't have the budget for things like Soom limited dolls.

More interesting clothes for mature mini dolls: cowboy boots, riding boots, tailored suits with little buttons, non-cutesy, in-scale clothes for small men and women. The big dolls have all the best stuff. I demand equality for smaller dolls! Don't get me wrong, I love my crew of Dollshes, EID's, and Spiritdolls, but I have little ones too.

 

White wigs. There are styles I love all over the place, but my doll is Albino and has white hair... yet it seems that most styles just come in basic colors (brown, black, and blonde).
