1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Things that are hard to find that you would like to see more of

Mar 24, 2010

    1. I would like to see more darker skin tones and I would like them to not have to cost and arm and a leg more than the regular pale dolls. I love the darker skin tones but I don't love the price!

    2. boy's are boring to sew for IMO, and maybe other seamstresses think so too ;)

    3. well, it takes time to sew for doll, the smaller the longer time it takes, its fidly sometimes.

    4. More wider chested tops for the SID boys, and pants they can actually sit in. Not talking suits and stuff, cool casual clothing for a change!

    5. Feminine clothes for male dolls. Despite so many male dolls made to look 'pretty,' you can't find pretty dresses for them easily!

    6. more slim msd cloths.. for both.. girls and boys... my dolls look like their drowning in normal msd clothes...

    7. Coffee cups.

I remember one doll site that I think sold doll-sized coffee cups, and I also remember someone doing a shoot with doll-sized coffee mugs.

Something else that might be interesting would be pets. I haven't seen a lot of animal props that I'd want for my doll because I feel they look too 'fake' when compared to my dolls. I know that Obitsu has those posable dogs, but I'd rather have something with decent posability and also a degree of realism.

    8. More realistic dolls, costumes from different eras and sturdy furniture from different eras.

    9. HATS. Oh my god do I need some hats. Hats for guys. Ones that aren't little tiny tophats or regular tophats. I just want some normal sized hats for dapper gentlemen D:

Also different colored blazers would be awesome. I can only ever find them in grey or black, sometimes white, but I need red!

    10. Why oh why, does theese male dolls wear girl clothes - I just don't get it ?
      No insult meant.

Maybe I'm to old to catch that idee ;)

    11. Why or why can't people just wear what they want to wear? Why is there even a need for gender specific clothing?

Maybe I am just before my time. ;)

    12. He, he :) They have tryed that in China long ago, and I don't think they want it back :)

    13. Molds [Luts] with elf ears <3

    14. I second this!
I had to completely change one of my doll's blushing plans completely because I could not find a purple wig in his size or with the right style. I was only able to find two purple wigs in stock out of what is almost all of the bjd stores in existence that ships to USA.

I would also like to see more odd colors like teal, royal blues and the like in many sizes and not restricted to one size only like I see in so many places.
Also, more furniture for 65-70cm dollies!

    15. Gothic clothing for tiny tinies, like Pukipukis. It seems the smaller the doll, the harder it is to find them clothes that aren't jumpers and lolita dresses. Normally I wouldn't complain but I have a pukipuki who's meant to be a monster.

    16. I like boy dolls with sharper/more angled features.
The only place I've found so far is Iplehouse. =\

    17. Ichigo's blasted sword ~sigh~ Bankai or otherwise. Although I am thinking of trying that 3D copy place for these anime swords & props

    18. I'd also like to see more colors for wigs - and to have them available in every style and wig type. While neither of my dolls have unnatural hair colors, I like colored wigs. I've been thinking of putting my next doll in colored wigs, as well as natural colors due to the fact that I'm really unsure of how I want the doll to look.

Thinking about it, I'd like to see more purple wigs, too. I like the purple color of the wigs Volks has (though I don't own any) and I'd like to get a wig in that color - I just don't want to have to spend so much on one.

I think I'd also like to see more creative storage units for dolls. I've seen a couple, but nothing that compelled me to either make or buy it. I did see that BJD couch tutorial that looked like an interesting idea, though...

    19. One thing I'd love to see is more boy yo-sd clothing. There's so much cute fluffy things for little girls, but barely anything good for the boys...

    20. I second that option, I'd love to see some pageboy caps and fedoras or like those floppy winter hats the I see lumberjacks wear or something.

I'd also like to see like, everyday clothing for dolls that I would go buy for myself, not even name brand stuff like hollister and aeropostale, but clothes similar to North American teen clothes. I've seen a lot of Asian influenced street fashion for dolls but not many North American street fashion for dolls.

And more lolita clothes, like fairy kei and decora.
