1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Things that are hard to find that you would like to see more of

Mar 24, 2010

    1. Lati Yellow / pukifee / tiny doll BOY clothing. and 4-5 . also those sizes of cloths that are goth!

    2. I'm having a really hard time finding doll items for all of my dolls, my SD13 girls needs to wear man clothes which in common size always appear to be too big for her, and so as shoes and other accesseries, i mean her sculpture is very man-like

    3. More tiny dolls around to 20cm. There's only two that I know of: Lati Y SP and Ajumapama. It's such a nice in between size that works as older siblings for lati Y or pukifee sized dolls.

    4. Unoa wigs and shoes. HARD!

    5. A keyboard for a 70cm boy that doesn't look like he's using one for a 45cm doll! :sweat

      Ryu

    6. Food, chairs, and more shoes suited to RS MSD's.

    7. In Malaysia, It's really hard to find anything that has to do with a BJD.

    8. Bird Anthros. DOG anthros -- especially dogs like German Shepard, or Huskies. Or a PUG! >:3

Ethnic & Tribal clothes for yoSD dolls ^^u

Lati SP sized dolls -- and clothes for them.

Pukifee & Lati SP sized clothes for BOYS! U__U

      Ethnic & Tribal clothes for dolls smaller than YoSD, but *thinner* than Pukifee. ; u ;

      Sandles! Summer-time shoes in general.

A shepard's staff; my lady has goats, and so far, I've just been using tree branches that I cut up as her staff ^_^U

      In. Scale. Chickens. D:

      A really *good* MSD-sized horse :3

MSD & SD wheelchairs that don't look "cheap" or overly-medical. I had one doll who had CP; she needed a chair that could take a beating. Not a chair that she got loaned out by a hospital when she broke her leg. Pffft, those types of chairs are flimsy. My girl used her chair 24/7 :3

Tiny tan-skin dolls. Brownie points for dark-tan dolls under the yoSD size range, oh snap!

Hindi & Urdu looking dolls -- yoSD, MSD & SD. T___T

      SARIS T_______T

Why must all of my dolls be set in Africa & Colonial India back in the 1600's & 1700's?! xD They're so hard to shop for! Q u Q

    9. I think that different body types are kind of lacking in BJDs. I would love to have some emaciated and rubenesque and muscular girls in my collection, but it seems like every doll for sale has the same "standard" body type.

    10. Ballet shoes for those dolls with larger feet. My boy has 8.5cm feet and it's looking like I might have to make him some ballet pumps. But, to find ones that could fit him would be easier for me, as I have little experience in sewing & making clothes/shoes!

    11. Disney princess costumes, purses, and stuffed animals for msd and smaller.

    12. I agree with this. Also, a variety of skin tones in more companies would be nice.

    13. ;n; Oh man, this topic comes up a lot for me. I basically have a list that constantly comes to mind:

      - More bust options for girls, especially almost flat-chested options for SD girls!
      - Ebony and red skin tones!
      - Cute, chubby YoSD/ MSD bodies for boys and for girls!
      - BJD clothes in more bright colors like yellow and green (and not just T-shirts)
      - More height options for SD boys, specifically boys who are the same height as their female SD counterparts and not the usual 5-6 centimeters taller.
      - GENDER NEUTRAL BODIES FOR DOLLS OTHER THAN TINIES.
      - More wig colors
      - Properly scaled doll glasses + more glasses in general

...Yes, I really do think about this topic quite a lot. *_*

    14. Alternate: buy female feet for your boy, so he can fit into their shoes! I have a boy doll who required spiky fetishy high-heel boots, but they certainly don't make a lot of those in men's sizes. So I bought him a pair of the feet that belonged to whatever doll was modelling the boots. By now he's collected high-heel-feet from Dollmore (Model F), Impl, and Soom (Mecha Angel & Super Gem), so he is prepared to wear lots of different larger-sized-lady boots. If your boy doll is skinny, he'll have no trouble wearing lady feet believably.

(I wish I could change MY feet according to the whims of specific shoemakers.)

Head shops, best place to start looking for any kind of hookah. Very hit-and-miss, and you have to be seen shopping there, but that is where the hookahs are. I'm still looking for a Yo-SD sized one myself, but all the miniatures I've seen have been too big so far. (Until I find one, I made one up out of a stoppered genie-bottle with a bit of satin-braid cord attached to the top. Stop-gap hookah.)

Stuff like samovars, you have to have good shopping mojo & hit up eBay and antique shops and flea markets. I know exactly 2 people who have samovars, and they were both in-the-right-place-at-the-right-time shopping wizards.

    15. There's more variety than people give credit for, especially these days.
Some DoA members custom ordered a very muscular girl body from Nobility doll, and Dollstown's 15 and 18 girl bodies have lovely defined arms for a less muscular yet still toned look.
Some people consider Doll Chateau's bodies emaciated, and depending on how rubanesque you want there's Iplehouse, Aoi Tuki (harder to get a hold of, but still possible), and there's a big movement in large hipped MSD girls right now.
Some of these you may have to wait until you get marketplace access to get a hold of them second hand.

    16. Handmade clothes for FL PukiPuki.
      Fantasy-colored wigs for BJD tinies.

    17. I've heard of that Nobility doll and was very happy and impressed. I do think that from what I've seen the doll industry is moving in the right direction, but I still wish that there was more diversity.

    18. I AGREE! My Unoa is still barefoot until now. :(

    19. *-* traditional clothing other then kimonos and hanboks, like a russian cossack costume, or a scottish kilt or german laterhousen. quality visual kei bjd items. gyaru wigs and clothes.

    20. I could think of so many things, my big one is non-limited fantasy dolls. Soom makes some of the coolest dolls but being new to bjd's a lot of them are sold out and I would have no idea where to get one, but I do plan on looking. Also in scale props, like a car or motorcycle. Also clothing patterns for bjd's in 1/4 scale. I see patterns but i'm never sure if they would fit 1/4 scale just right.
