1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Things that are hard to find that you would like to see more of

Mar 24, 2010

    1. Extremely basic but... wigs without a long fringe... I appreciate they put a fringe on to cover the elastic/edge of the wig cap for realism, but they fringe is usually so long. It's demoralising to spend a bunch of effort on painting good brows on your doll then having every wig cover them.

    2. I desperately want to find glasses for my YoSD that aren't super childlike or clunky-looking... I would really like something thinner and more delicate, but it's super hard to find!! I also wish there were more fat/chubby dolls.

    3. I'd love a wider range of weapons for MSD. I know there's swords pretty often, but I almost never see daggers or nun chucks or throwing knives. I'm huge on chinese fantasy weapons specifically. Xianxia and Wuxia have me obsessing over the stupidest stuff.

    4. Alternative fashion for dolls smaller then msd. What if I want a pastel goth pukipuki? Or a death punk lati yellow?

    5. 1/4 Steampunk style and any 1/4 boy outfits. It's so hard to find the right outfits for my boys!

    6. Jointed resin wings!! I want wings for every doll, all the time haha. Especially ones that are bigger because those itty-bitty angel wings don't do it for me

    7. I’d love more shoes for MSD that don’t look childish or cutesy. I think it’s because of the length of the feet? Or fabric constraints? They look great on some dolls but really don’t match the delicate style I’m trying to go for with mine...

    8. Oh my god I’m glad I found this thread! I’ve been struggling so much to find decent cowboy attire for my yosd! Just makes it harder that he’s 30cm too. I never thought it would be so hard finding a nice cowboy hat

    9. Luts Honey31 Delf and DollPamm Loli (32 cm) are a couple more options for you. :)

    10. Child styled props and toys for YoSDs. Everything for 1/6 size is for dolls that are shaped like adults (Barbie, Blythe, etc.). I just want to find some child like furniture for my little ones! The only ones that have that kind of stuff are baby things for tinies.

    11. Have you tried etsy? There are a number of Russian furniture makers that make wooden toys for YoSD BJDs. I have a couple for Ichi-chan, my LittleFee Shiwoo is just starting his collection of them, along with some furniture I plan on getting for him.

And to keep this post on track, clothes and shoes for 50cm dolls. I have a Doll Chateau Kid doll on layaway, and he's not going to have much to wear outside of his fullset and a pair of shoes that I ordered with him. I suppose I should plan on sewing, but I don't know if I'll be able to sew the things he's going to need. Its going to be even harder since he has wings. :sweat*_*

    12. More body diversity for boys.

Lots of lanky childlike waifs, and occasionally "lanky but chiselled", but very few who look like an average bloke: mature, not in bad shape, but doesn't work out, is just some guy you might see on the bus. As well as that, I'd also like to see more interesting body types for male dolls: be that chubby; big-boned; or muscly but in a hulky way. Basically, where are my bears at. I like big guys!

I have no interest in a male doll as it stands, but I would definitely jump at that.

Even though most of the female dolls are a little unrealistic, you can still shell characters who are just some normal woman quite easily, and there's more body diversity available - from hips and chest sizes, to indie dolls doing both more realism or more stylised options. I don't feel like I can do that with male dolls right now.

    13. Overall, for dolls of all genders, more body options. I wish there were more muscular female sculpts, chubbier and/or petite (but still adult-looking) sculpts for both male and female. Along with that, just more variation in body shape. I feel like male dolls are always rectangular or dorito-shaped and female dolls are hourglass or pear shaped. I feel like variation in bust size are the only things you can chose between. I saw a company (I can't remember which) offer chubbier legs but they changed nothing else about the body so it just ended up looking awkward to me.

I'd like for my dolls to have some variation in shape and size while still being in the same scale. I understand companies having budget constraints but if I were given options other than "big boobie/little boobie" or "ripped/emaciated", I'd throw my cash at them so fast and I know I wouldn't be the only one willing to do so.

    14. One thing I find hard to find is clothing for Luts Junior Delfs, lol since they were discontinued there is not much out there.
Patterns can be adjusted to fit and there are maybe 3 outfits on the Luts website.
Wish there were more clothing available

    15. Maybe you can try HauntCoutureAtelier on Etsy? Every clothing item can be made in a really large variety of sizes, some of them more pudgy/baby proportioned than barbies. They've got some pretty trendy and edgy looking stuff.

    16. @Lucidium i acrually already follow them on etsy. =D

    17. There aren't enough elves in the world, and there never will be >_>

    18. Alternative and non-modern style clothes for 70+ cm boys. Finding nice clothes for my Super Senior Delf is a PAIN.

    19. I'm having a hard time finding sports bra for my MSD girl. Even commission artists find it hard to replicate designs from well known brands.

    20. Also never enough adult mermen. :(

I had to make my own. :whee:
