Things that are hard to find that you would like to see more of

Yep, me too... Good wigs, also. I'm trying to make one that I like, because I cannot find one that fits Xionesse at all.

 

Armor. Medieval. Renaissance, Edwardian, Elizabethan. I'm SO tired of all the Lolita and 'Nazi'-themed doll clothes.

 

70cm sized furniture & props

 

Oh yes I agree-- more furniture that's tall enough for giants & extra-long legs. I have been making all the couches taller by propping them up on stacks of ancient volumes of BeBoy (finally, a use for those things!).

There is always the pipe-dream of more shoes that will fit EIDs, of course. I expect we must just be patient until more are made. Those behemoths could use more variety of clothing-sources in general.

Pipe-dream #2 is wigs in a Yo-SD size that don't involve straight bangs, kandy-kurls, buns, ribbons, or pigtails. Devilish hard to find boyish, or even rockstar, wigs for that size boy.

And more clothes for tall minis, like SD Cutes (or Lati Blues, or Iplehouse JIDs). Poor kids can't always squeeze into fitted MSD-size clothes, always look like they outgrew them about 6 months ago, long arms & legs dangling out the ends. But generally, as long as I know 1 good pants-maker who has an SDC pattern [StrangeAngels ], life is still good.

 

More JID boy clothes, yeesh.

Men's suits. And while there are definitely suits around, the cut or scale isn't usually what I want. I want a proper length suit in grey and possible other colours (often the suits I see, the coat's too short).

The one thing I've been trying to find for a couple of years now is a black wig with blonde streaks/stripes. Just a longish black wig with two or three chunky blonde streaks coming from the scalp. I keep buying almost any wig I see with blonde and black out of an almost! feeling .

Hazel eyes, particularly ones that actually change colour, in urethane.

Shoes are always an issue. I'm always trying to find something that doesn't quite exist, it seems .

Oh, and while I'm being greedy, more traditional outfits from different countries.

 

Different scaled musical instruments besides the guitar and violin, I'm still looking for a 1/3 sized piano (Anyone finds one on sale, PM me lol) >.<; I did see an old chinese version of a wheelchair. Can't wait to find a gurney or cane or crutches.

Wigs with short bangs and ponytail wigs that's sitting on the top of your head, there's a difference between ponytails and pigtails.

Nerd glasses, like Superman's. Round shaped glasses that isn't too Harry Potter-ish, or they're rectangular shaped with rounded corners.

 

Magnetic/interchangeable fantasy parts.

 

DIfferently styled clothes. I see the same style repeated EVERYWHERE and the same brands EVERYWHERE I look, and I'm not exagerating.
Furniture, too.

 

Another thing that I would really like to see more of is purple wigs that would be really nice T.T

 

Women's suits that aren't frilly, lacy, or look like a larger version of a school uniform.

 

smaller sized glass eyes (12mm and under) that have detail and texture. I've only seen a few and they tend to cost quite a bit considering how small they are.

 

accessories like headphones or rings or glasses or even handcuffs. just a few company makes them and I was searching for them for about 3-4 months till I found them (and of course for a good price)

also it would be nice if some companies would make only for example not just horns but also hooves and sell them so that we wouldn't have to wait only for soom to come up ith a new mothly doll which is so expensive or sold out too quickly to get those anthro beauties

 

Definitely MSD suits, as there aren't many of those that fit MSD figures well (if there are much at all).

As for dolls themselves, I'd definitely love to see more West Indian/African/Middle Eastern/South Asian(!!) faces. IpleHouse is doing a fantastic job of that, but I'm not so fond of their bulky bodies, so I really hope to see more from other companies, maybe. I'm currently limiting myself to 10 dolls but I'd happily stretch for 11 if I could have an Indian or Pakistani one : D

 

If I can't find them, i will try and make them, though only for furnitures and jewelleries... wish i know how to sew :S
It seems to me that "normal clothes" are pretty hard to find :S not that i dont like fantasy/punk stuff, but i want to see my doll in a different style once in a while...

 

Trendy, stylish, modern clothes for immature MSDs. My Volks MSD girl is a bit of a teenybopper, but I'm having a hell of a time finding clothing that would fit both her body and her style. Why do slim minis have a monopoly on trendy, chic, teenage/adolescent modern clothing?! Not every immature MSD girl wears frilly/Lolita frocks and frumpy little-girl clothing, y'know.

Lab coat, mini chemistry/laboratory stuff, mini clipboard, etc...

Also, more of a variety of fantasy/themed things? There seems to be a flood of Alice in Wonderland and steampunk themed things...but what about other mythology themes? - like egyptian, greek/roman, druidic, native american, etc?
SOOM does a pretty good spectrum, and so does Iplehouse, but sometimes it seems like they are the only ones with that kind of variety.

 

Good, solid SD sized miniatures that aren't ridiculously over priced. They make better stuff for barbie that's cheaper and easier to find, and American Girl while beautifully accurate and the perfect size is also terribly expensive. I just want some nice minis that aren't made of paper or too expensive to buy much of. -__-

 

I'd love to see historical costumes/clothing from eras other than Roccoco/Marie Antoinette. I love that era, but it has been done a lot. And since I don't sew and I am also a big fan of historical costume, I would really like to see some companies offer clothing inspired by other time periods.

 

once apon a time Ilpehouse made these wonderful beautifully crafted furniture, I coveted the desk and ornent chair they had up for the longest time. but IH no longer makes them any longer.
