1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Things you said you wouldn't do but did anyway.

    1. Told myself I'd never be able to have a doll. ^^;

Mostly because of the expense. And when I first found BJDs and began wanting one, I was still in my mother's house and being brainwashed by her ridiculous thoughts on the matter.

"Those dolls are demonic! They're for greedy, worthless adults who refuse to grow up and accept responsibilities! They're no different then Barbie dolls! Blah, blah, blah."

Just got my first SD this past week~. I can't believe it, really~. I'm still amazed I even have one~. :aheartbea

    2. I expected to never get a doll that is taller than a ruler (~30cm) because that's about the point where I start to feel uncomfortable.. like it's a bit too big or hefty to manipulate. Well, I fell in love with a 50cm doll who's still in concept stages, so I bought a secondhand MSD to see how I do with that size range. She'll likely get put back on the secondhand market eventually though, which is another thing I planned never to do - betray my dollies with re-selling! D:

Pupil-less eyes, red eyes, and yellow eyes. Three things I always told myself I have no desire for.
I don't know if I ever said I wouldn't, but I didn't plan to own a male doll. Just ordered my first young man on 10/31.
He'll have yellow eyes. Red and pupil-less remain on my "I just can't" list.

I still don't expect myself to ever own an adult-looking male doll. TBH, not sure if I'll bond well with the boy I ordered. Looking forward to giving him a fair chance though!

    3. I said I'd never have anything smaller than an SD. I said I'd never have a doll with fantasy parts. I have an MSD fox boy now who is just breaking all sorts of rules.

I never expected to own a female doll. But she's on the way too.

    4. I said I'll never get Soom Dia coz I thought he was ugly and I hated his open mouth.
LOL now I have him and I love him to bits.

I was admiring someone's doll and my parents asked "You're not going to get one are you?"
I said something like "Are you kidding?! They're expensive! I'm not THAT stupid and I don't have the spare change!"
Well...I now have seven complete dolls and 3 floating heads.

    5. I thought I'd never have anything other than an SD. Now I have Hazel, my tiny Iplehouse Lisa hybrid.
I also thought I'd never go for limited dolls. Now I have Souldoll Robb from their limited Epic series, and another limited doll on layaway (Impldoll Azalea).
I was right about not wanting to actively buy new dolls forever and accumulate a massively huge collection, though-- turns out I want even fewer dolls than I thought I did. I have learned that it really, really, really bugs me to an unignorable degree when my dolls don't all have the same degree of realism to their sculpts, so although I still like them, there are several dolls I thought I'd own that I've eliminated from my wishlist/planned purchases.

    6. I thought I'd never buy a SOOM monthly/limited doll because they're so expensive.

In the past 4 months I've purchased 2. Woops. These uh... These will be my last big purchases until the new year.

    7. "No mohair wigs!"

Yeah, uh-huh. Riiiiiight. Guess what I just bought for my Pukifee Dony? I should know better than to listen to me, sometimes. :)

    8. I thought I would only settle for one the most 2 dolls and now I have 6 and 3 more on the way and I don't even want to add up how much I have spent I'll just make myself upset.

    9. So I said I would never get an MSD or anything smaller than an SD. I now have two MSDs and a YOSD, I also plan on getting Doll-Zone's tiny Ivy. So much for only having four dolls, too. I'm now up to seven. This hobby is dangerous, haha.

    10. I broke another one... I purchased an anthro doll even though I told myself I'd never do such a thing... oh well.

    11. Buy the second, third, fourth, and so on...
now I had 2 with me and 3 incoming...and plan to get the 6th one in this december, sigh...

    12. I recently told myself I'd stop selling dolls to buy other dolls. I'm already tempted again after a doll I adore is on a short pre-order and I can't afford her without selling a doll! :sweat :doh

    13. I decided that I wouldn't buy any more dolls until I graduate from school and get a job (I graduate in May 2015), but I was weak and bought one last week.

    14. I told myself that I never spend 500$ just for a doll, but now I have a whole doll family :)))
Next time was when I said no more floating head, 'cause I can't buy body for all of them. But I can't resist them :'(

    15. I said I would only get character themed dolls, and only get MSD's. I have two tinys that were not planned, but I love them anyways.

I said I would never spend over a certain dollar amount on dolly accessories... Heh... Hehehhehehhehehehehheheheh. That changed quickly.
Never thought I would get rid of a doll that was technology an impulse buy.

Bit fearful, because the last doll I purchased I said would be my last... Now I'm eyeing at least 3 more bjds. Doh! >.

    16. I kinda remember doing the same thing.. Whoopsie

    17. For me at the moment would have to be that I said I wouldn't buy anymore doll things until March next year, but that's already about to break as soon as I get my next pay to put through a purchase orz

    18. When I started in the hobby I told myself never to buy other doll-sizes than SD-size. Now I have 3 tinies + 2 heads needing bodies...

I've also told myself not to buy more than one of the same sculpt...I'm currently paying off two PW FOC LE Dlights so there goes that as well. XD

    19. Maybe my hate for scupts with teeth showing and owning a smiling doll?
      I also said I wouldn't buy dolls bigger than 45cm but I'm planning on a 56cm

    20. When I started the hobby, I promised myself to have only doll with company face-up or face-up made by myself. Well, now I have a doll with an artist face-up and it looks so good that I cannot promise that he will be the last ^^'
