1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. "I'M NEVER GETTING INTO THIS HOBBY!"
...four months later I got my first doll (whom I absolutely adore), now the second is being prepared for shipping, and I have two others in my wishlist. I've also wanted to start sewing things for them and I've been slowly coaxing my mother into dolls, too.
      I REGRET NOTHING.

    2. I only planned to get 2 dolls in each of the basic sizes - 2 SD, 2 MSD and 2 YoSd. A boy and girl of each.
HA! That plan lasted about a minute. I now have 4 SDs and another on layaway. I still don't have a boy in MSD size, which was my goal for this year, but instead I bought more SDs.
I know my collection is small compared to many collectors, but I have a very small space to keep them in, so I have to keep my collection limited. Yeah right. Not gonna happen.

    3. Never thought I'd want an SD... and I told myself I was never going to do layaways, because I wanted to make sure I had the full amount and just get it paid, but now I have 2 layaways going at once lmao

    4. "Never will you get an msd"
      "Only one doll in ws"
"You don't need more than 2 dolls"
"You will decide about your dolls character, not them!"
      "No layaways"
      Haha..haa..

    5. I'M NEVER GETTING A YOSD!!! So much money for such a small doll!

      *coughs*...I have four now.

    6. "I won't buy a Volks doll!"
"Never get SDs or larger size dolls!"
But looking at my wishlist and my collections now.....I obviously didn't keep my promises and now my top 3 grail dolls are Volks SDs. *looking away*

    7. "I'll never get a bjd, they are too expensive"
...Finally got to see them in person at denver doll emporium and proceeded to order an msd and an event doll.
"Okay, I caved, I just don't have fun money for a while and these are the only dolls I will get-WHAT doll I loved in the past is in stock on dde!?"
Proceeds to order doll and rabidly sell old junk to afford it.
That is how I am currently in the hole waiting for 3 different dolls to arrive, when I don't even have a bjd in my possession yet :sweat

    8. "No more than 2.... wait, 5.... 10... 20 dolls... wait..." <-- Gave up restricting myself to a certain number of dolls some time ago now.
"No 1/6 or smaller sized dolls!" <-- Has 7 (with an 8th on order).
"Don't own more than 1 of a head mold." <-- Has 2 Luts Wintery 2008 event heads, and 2 Soom Mute dolls
"Eh, none of the female dolls interest me, so I guess I won't get any." <-- Has 9 female dolls.

    9. In January, one of my resolutions was to NOT bring another doll home until my current ones were complete with their new faceups, stands, eyes, wigs, appropriate clothing & shoes, etc.

      That was two dolls ago.

    10. Hi ParlourGoddess! I really only meant to have one doll, I stuck to that for a long time....but the last line of your post is now my precise situation! I am making the last payment on a layaway TODAY, and an Iplehouse Lahela will soon be coming my way. She is second hand so I hope I will have her within a week!

    11. Well I never thought I'd own anything smaller than an SD sized doll and then a few months later, I ordered two tinies and a YoSD. So I guess never say never. Haha! :whee:

    12. I bet, this one was here thousand times before, but I said, I will never buy a BJD :D Never ever.
And now, we have 7 of them at home. And I guess it is not final number yet. :D Daaaah. :D

    13. The typical ones that BJD owners suffer from xD

"I'll only have one because they're so expensive. There's no way I'd buy more!"

"I'll never get a girl doll because I prefer the boys."

"$75 for a faceup is way too expensive!"

"I'll just keep it in the shopping cart until I've saved up enough money."

And the list goes on! xD

    14. "I'm not jumping on the pet/companion doll wagon"

...I now have 3 companion dolls and plan to get more :sweat Damn you Blade, my lovely biggest boy, it's all your fault!!!

    15. "They're so expensive, I just want one..." ...8 dolls later...

Looking through this thread it seems like that's the most common one. That and "I'm never getting [size]". I did do the "Who the heck would want a 60cm? They're so huge and they must be difficult to handle." Erm... *looks at 68cm and 70cm on the sofa*

    16. I honestly thought I would never purchase a female doll, but now I have two and i'm in love with them :D I also said I would never get anything smaller than 60cm, however, I now have 2 MSD sized dolls, 1 YOSD, and looking for yet another YOSD sized girl! :sweat

    17. I told myself I'd stick to my one 27cm bjd, sure enough I'm planning a DIM Flowne/Mirodoll hybrid next week. I never realized that MSD was the most popular size to work with, though I would've gotten my Bei first either way so no regrets. I'll probably be good after this though, I can't see myself getting one taller than this, and it'll give me one each of varying size dolls to practice clothes for (I'm not counting SD, not really appealed to them nor do I have the room).

    18. Buy a doll I didn't have a character planned for. Oops! Turns out I wanted an SD13 boy to be a clothes horse.

    19. Told myself to finish one project before starting another..

    20. "I'll just get one bjd!" -> Got a second one within months.
"Okay, I have a second doll now, but I won't buy the next boy on my wishlist for at least a year!" -> The company announced they were discontinuing him, so I ordered him before I even got home from college to see my second bjd :'D
Right now I'm at "I won't have more than one resin bjd of each size for at least a couple more years", but we'll see how long that lasts! My budget is keeping me from breaking that promise, though, so I might actually stick to it.
