1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Things you said you wouldn't do but did anyway.

    1. I was originally against anthro dolls too but I fell in love with Doll Zone's Miss Kitty and Mr. Bunny pair and am currently saving for their heads. I also was against hybrids too but with this pair I'm considering it.

    2. Pet dolls. Got a couple. Girls. Own 10-15.

    3. Never make a hybrid, now I have so many. XD

    4. Sell my dolls and start again. I've done it twice now.

    5. Buy more than one.

That lasted... a couple of months, I think? I'd only meant to have one, as a clothing model. Now I have over a dozen, and hardly time at all to make clothes for them. :sweat

      Buy a YO-scale tiny.

They wouldn't have fit with my Mini family, they'd just look chubby and awkward... and then FairyLand came along with their LittleFees, and they were so incredibly cute! I impulse grabbed one (and a faceplate for another), and they're just so amazing that I've got three more on order now.

      Spend more than $200.

      ...yeah see above.

Make a hybrid, they sound like such a pain.

I don't count genderswap bodies from the same company as hybrids (if I did, I'd have more of those than I do now), but I still have a couple of hybrids and one more floating head that needs a body.

      Buy limiteds.

Curse you, Soom, and your amazing fantasy tinies.

      Mods.

At least I started lightweight on this, with a simple heat mod to my Bobobie Sprite. Followed by a small additive mod to my first LittleFee. And once I finish off coursework for the semester, I'll likely be jumping in to a massive additive/subtractive mod party on a MiniFee. My only anxiety there isn't how much he cost, but how beautifully sculpted his body is. But I know he'll look even better when I'm done, so forget the nerves I had when I did the first heat mod, I'm going all out now!

At this point, about the only thing left is my "I'm not buying any more SDs" thing, because I didn't bond at all with the one SD I owned. But there's still so many gorgeous ones that I may still try again yet...

    6. I said I wouldn't buy any more dolls next year...well we shall have to see what happens next year :D

    7. have more than two dolls on the way :|

spend over $100 on an outfit

    8. This, although for me it was "one" doll... layaways changed that irreversibly... Volks preorders too (what with the year-long waiting times...)

    9. I originally said I wouldn't have more than 5. I'm over that now, and with more planned. I said I wasn't interested in Yo-SD or MSD sized dolls, that I probably wouldn't ever get one. But, I now have a Yo-SD-sized girl, and am waiting on a MSD body for my Souldoll Apple head. Guess it just goes to show, never say never?

    10. 1. Only wanted one doll, but ordered a second doll several months later.
      2. Only wanted one or two outfits per doll, but have a ton of outfits now.
      3. Only wanted large dolls that would look good together, but got a bunch of odd dolls now...
      4. Never spend money on a Tiny doll. Now have tinies.
      5. Only buy large dolls and maybe some tinies--but stay out of Minis. Now have minies (although I resisted for many years!)
      6. Never buy larger than 60cm because those are too big and won't go with my other dolls. Now have a bunch of 60+ cm dolls, but am still resisting anything 80cm and over!
      7. Never buy an outfit over $150. Recently went over that several times...
      8. Never spend money traveling to and going to a BJD con because the money is needed for dolls. Now I have too many dolls, so now I'm spending some money going to a few BJD cons.
      9. Never buy more than 5 dolls. Then: Never buy more than 10. Then: Never buy more than 20.
      10. Stop paying attention to things I think I will never do! That is the only thing that seems to be working for me... *_*

    11. Every time I buy a new outfit for either my Aurora or my Peter (both SD size) I always say it's the last one...and then 3 days later I order more DX. It's a vicious cycle lol.

    12. 2007ish: "Man, I'd NEVER buy a BJD. Those people are nuts to spend that much on a doll! Plus they're kind of creepy."

      2013: Owns multiple dolls.

      WELP.

    13. haha... I literally told myself that I would never ever actually buy one because of how expensive they are :s and now I'm letting my boyfriend buy me a dollchateau head for christmas and already planning the body! I figure it is more like a sculpture than a doll and that I'm really paying for a life-like art piece. at least, that's what I tell myself as I browse the websites...

    14. I told myself I would not buy any BJDs. That I didn't need them and all that. But look where that got me.... :sweat:blush

    15. A few things!

      1. Never wanted to order more than one doll at a time; that went out the window during one company event where I ordered three!
      2. Didn't want to own any anthros; currently I own seven and have more on my wish list. Feel free to point and laugh, folks!
      3. Never buy dolls which have bodies that are difficult to shop for; currently I'm a proud owner of three naked, but very uniquely shaped dolls!
      4. Props? Who needs them? Not me! *glanced at the rapidly expanding pile of doll props*

    16. Oh gosh, yes. I still don't use most of them, but they are so pretty and so cute and I'm a sucker for miniature things, so now I'm completely hooked and want moar.

    17. Ooh that's another one I said I wouldn't do, doll props, I don't have many but I do have a few. I also want more. Ugh.

But I've totally seen some dolls I would love to buy and yeah...next year I will probably end up buying them if I can.

    18. I always said I wouldn't order Teenies or MSDs... now I have four Teenies and two MSDs

I always said I would never order two full dolls at a time, but I've since done it twice (and am about to do it again!)

I always said I wouldn't sell any fantasy parts ever, but I've recently sold some of the ones I knew I'd never use

    19. Yep, that's pretty much my story as well! Whenever I'm out shopping now, I'm always on the lookout for more in-scale miniatures for the dolls. It never ends!

    20. Yeah I'm glad I'm not the only person to do that.
