1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Ugh miniatures are my absolute weakness haha, around my room is just a billion little props I haven't even got any use for x)

    2. Told myself I wouldn't buy anymore dolls till FAR INTO NEXT YEAR....

Then Soom released my grail... Beyla. As a Centaur. WITH WINGS!!

Bye bye, money ;-; Hello, Beyla <333

    3. "This Shiwoo Special I just ordered is going to be my one and only doll. I don't need more than one, and that Dreaming head is just going to be a spare. I doubt it'll ever come out of its box. It's not like I'm ever going to build a collection or anything."

... Ha! That spare head never came close to being "just a spare" and my first "one" ended up being twins! Who, over the course of the last seven years, have been joined by an entire tribe of other dolls. Dolls I honestly thought I wouldn't ever want or need.

"NO WAY will I ever own a Volks School A. Those guys remind me of constipated frogs."

... And then I found Yomi, my School A. <_<

"I'm not ever going to buy a Micro either. They're too small and too fragile for a klutz like me to handle."

... And now I have not only Issun, my 1/12 dollhouse-scale Banji, but two even tinier Dream High dolls (an 8cm Chibi Feiline and a 5cm Piko).

    4. heh. Where do I start?

Beginning the hobby: "Oh, I only want one, just to have one! I won't buy any more than that!"
Seven years later, just counted them and have almost 50 in the collection. :sweat

"I'll never buy one of those Soom limiteds! Way too pricey for my taste!"
...I now own two Monthly dolls and two Faery Legends. (Curse my fantasy addiction, and curse Soom for making such gorgeous sculpts to feed it!) :doh

"A Dollmore Trinity Jude is HOW big? She costs HOW much? No, she's pretty but definitely not for me!" :aeyepop:
... I just brought home a Trinity Lumie limited who was even more than the basic Jude. :blush

In this hobby, I've learned to never say never. About anything. :XD:

    5. Ohhh man...
I recently just got into this hobby and I have a few of these....

I told myself I'd only get one doll for a long while and be content, 3 months later I have 2 full dolls, 3 floating heads and another full doll on layaway.

"I realllly need new shoes for myself, but my poor doll doesn't have any that match her outfit! Guess I can live with holes in my shoes for a little longer instead."
      -Also applies to clothing.

"That dress is how much?? for just a dress??? no way....But it is so cute!" *Add to cart*

" I shouldn't spend anymore money, I need to save this for Christmas presents."
*Buys the Luts limited anyways" why?? because its limited that's why, Darn you Luts!

There's probably a bunch more of these that I just can't think of. What has this hobby done to me???
But I love my little dollies anyways :)

    6. So far I have been telling myself that my first doll will be my last.

Who thinks this will stick? Lol.

    7. I said i would never buy a doll i had no character for... broke that in my 2nd doll XD. I said I would never put a doll on a credit card... do it all the time. Also that I would never have more than 9... I have 20. >.> I just stop saying things I wouldn't do

    8. -Ended up with a lot of girl dolls
      -Own mostly SD sized
      -Bought an anthro
      -Sold several dolls

Never say never in this hobby ;)

    9. I said I'd never give my dolls personalities or background stories or even write about them, but both of my dolls have backgrounds now and personalities, and I'm awaiting a girl to fit in the story with one of my other dolls. Whops?

    10. Told myself I would only own one doll ever because of how expensive they were. Then I met my husband and he encourages me to get more dolls. He says if he can have an expensive hobby (cars), I can too.

At first it was one msd, but I couldn't decide on a body, so it got both. Then a newer body came out and now I can't decide which to keep, so now I'm at three with a boy coming soon to be my fourth. Also got a collection of faceplates... Hopefully I do not get anymore bodies >_< they can share.

    11. Well... I said I wasn't even going to collect BJDs, for starters! I was a fashion doll collector, and although I loved ABJDs' articulation, I didn't want a new size range that would require their own clothes, furnishings, etc.

Then I said no Japanese names, since it seemed everyone was using them (back in 2005), but by the following year, guess what? And eventually my first BJD's character became 1/4 Japanese, and now we're working on his ancestors ^_^

I also said no elves, because that seemed to be another popular thing back in 2005. A year later, I buy an elf Lishe *snerk*.

So... I try not to make any silly declarations about what I will and won't do ABJD-wise anymore. Resistance is futile.

    12. I said I wouldn't buy a second doll until I had a full wardrobe and a faceup I was satisfied with for the first one. Now, for sure, I'm not buying a third until I'm happy with the first doll and I've finished a few outfits for the second one.

    13. I once said I'd never own a BJD above ~ 62cm. I brought home one 70cm, and he must have left the door open, because now I have 7 taller than 62cm.

I also used to say I'd never own an Elf. Now I have three, plus one human who sometimes thinks he's an Elf.

    14. I thought that I was only going to have one boy MSD and that he would be enough... A girl MSD, three floating heads, two boy SD bodies and a SSDF on the way later, here I am.
sinking in a sea of body parts and two dolls I probably shouldn't have bought. but I love em!

    15. When I started this hobby I swore up and down I wouldn't buy a CP Delf El - I totally adored the sculpt but I didn't want to own one as he's the most common of all.
Several years later I finally caved and brought him home, though I didn't keep the male body but got him a female one instead. I like him/her better that way.

Same goes with Supia Rosy. I never even liked her and then suddenly BOOM - instant love! And now I have a Rosy. ;)

    16. I said I would never EVER sell one of my dolls, but I have had to recently cause of money issues. I sold my favourite doll (Minifee Chloe) and I literally felt so sad. I was on the edge of crying.
But I will get her back again next year! :D

    17. It looks like we're all in the same boat here when it comes to weakness for dolly awesomeness.

    18. I was only going to have one girl and one boy doll..........yeah, that didn't last!

One thing I have stuck to without any trouble is the nothing bigger than msd rule. I'll not say 'never', as then -bam! It'll happen, lol.

    19. -I'm only getting one. One doll. I swear.
-Ok, just two, but that is it!
      -No more than 10.
      ...
      -Okay eleven.
-Only yosds.... well ok one msd I guess, ok one zuzu delf...
-Only white skin... Grey skin, normal skin, tan skin... Oh well.
      -I will sell everything I don't use.
-I will never buy urethane eyes.
-I will never buy something on layaway.
      -No more impulse buys.
      -Never mod anything myself.

Guess I shouldn't be saying anything anymore, lol.

    20. I never thought I'd be in another addicting hobby besides video games. WRONG!
