It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. This going too far? [ Dollfie robot? ]

Dec 7, 2009

    1. I think she's cute, but I wouldn't want one myself. I don't like her legs, lol, and while her dancing is sweet, I like the fact that I can just pick up my dolls and pose them how I want. With all her internal wiring, I'd be worried about breaking her if I positioned her in a certain way.

    2. Cool! I don't think it's weird, it's kind of awesome this is possible.
Talking and moving Barbies excist so why not ABJD's? (though the Barbies with moving facial features so they look like talking scare me to death)

I prefer my dollies not to be robots. As I child I didn't liked moving toys so. I rather pose / play with them myself.

    3. Hey, if we could get like a hundred of them, and program them to do the thriller dance... That would be AWESOME!! :fangirl:

    4. No. That would be EPIC! :o

    5. amazing! i wish my boys could move like that :XD:
back to home.. "im baack.." and all my bunch of boys start to walking fastly to come to greet me :XD: :XD:

    6. That is pretty darn awesome. :D If they get the legs to be less bulky, I'd certainly consider getting one wired like that. I could amuse myself for hours watching my dolls just walk around the house doing silly dances and whatnot. It'd also be great for those people who stare at us and our dolls with the you're-too-old-for-that face, imagine if the doll suddenly turned and started moving!

    7. I've been wondering when someone will pop out with a doll like this xD
Well seems it's happened...pity that probably only our grandkids will get to buy robotized BJDs ^^

    8. I wouldn't mind owning one that was robotic. I'd probably still collect the "classic bjd" b/c like others i like the original and like posing them. I bet if they did make robotic dolls they'd be really expensive. I wanted an RC car as a kid but my parents thougt they were too expensive, or maybe too boyish, I dunno :|. So robotic doll, i'd def want at least one. An MSD would probably be like $1,000 or so... just a guess :sweat. It could almost make "Angelic Layer" a reality!

    9. Dancing Dollfie has been around since before Femisapien was released :P

If you go to this site and click "diary", you can see photos of her assembly from 2007.

ed: Sorry if I'm being a jerk about the whole OMG NOT A ROBOMOD YOU GUYS >:[ thing, I just don't want anybody trying to make their own from a robosapien and being disappointed ^^; Femisapien looks to be only about MSD size, anyway, so if someone made a dancing BJD from her (which could be a great idea!), it would have to be a mini and not an SD like this one.

    10. Ah, thank you for posting that video! So many people have been talking about it, and now I can see what all the hype is about.

Well, I thought it was kinda cute with her playing the guitar, but actually walking made me a little uneasy. -is afraid of robots...- Even though I think it's amazing that this person had enough time and energy to do this, I would never want that done to my dolls. Personally, I think it takes away from the uniqueness of the dolls and such, making it a cute robot instead of a poseable, stationary doll. It just doesn't seem as cuddly and stuff to me, either.

    11. "Home again, home again, jiggity-jig...Goooood evening, JF!"

(yes, I have to quote Blade Runner here)

    12. OK, OK...my mistake. I heard this was a Femisapien mod, but yeah, you're right.

However, such a mod would INDEED be possible.

Here's what the Femisapien's guts look like. There are definite possibilities.

    13. I don't know if anybody else has posted this yet, but there's a further (and far more complicated) dance that this doll does--and I want to say it's the same doll? Please, correct me if I'm wrong...

Here, enjoy! I was VERY impressed by the wee dance.

    14. :doh I really need to read the whole post before I click things, I got to the ssite and was all :sweat I can't read Japanese, but I got there in the end. And all I can say is that dud has far to much time on his hands ;)

    15. More then anything I think thats just way cool. Its neat that someone had the courage to do something like this and did it SO well! It was really neat, It would be so cool to have a dollfie you could make do stuff and impress people like that. ^.^ and she's cute too.

I wish I had more mod skills or robotic skills to try things like this with stuff even dollfies =D. *wishs she knew her friend who was so good at that stuff*

    16. I don't think it's weird - I was too busy being thoroughly impressed. The time and effort that must have gone into making something like that possible must be quite considerable, to say the least. I think it would be neat to have a doll like that, although I wouldn't want to mod the doll I currently own.

    17. wow, i think this is impressive. it will take lots of effort in making it move?
      She is so cute~

    18. I can't stop watching it walk, it's amazing she doesn't fall over!

Makes me wonder how long it took to make it work...

    19. As someone who dates/lives with someone who wanted to mod my Soom Heliot so his horn would light up...

I personally love the idea of a dancing dollfie, but I can see where it's creepy. It may be because it's creepy that I like it. The video just underlines one of the many reasons I love this hobby. There's nothing that you can't do!

    20. i think its uber cool. i would love to have one. it totaly reminds me of Angelic Layer and Chobits and noew were that much closer to it yes XD
