1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

This going too far? [ Dollfie robot? ]

Dec 7, 2009

    1. Haha!! Yeah that's an awesome idea!!!

    2. It makes me wonder, is the doll made only to do that`?
Is to dance and play a guitar, if so it will get boring, but it will be very interesting if you could program it to do more, it must be a hard skeleton inside the doll, can it even sit?

    3. it walks as well apparently. i love it, if they could merge bjds with the robotics of asimo i would be uber impressed.

As for the question, no i don't think that this is going too far. This is just one step closer to persocoms and robot servants.

    4. It's a bit scary, but I don't think there is a limit to what people will do for their dolls

    5. Hm. I think that would be cute - but it's always not enough. I wish my dolls could move - but it seems I just wish they were real people :))

    6. No I won't have a problem with it.

If I were really good at robotics I would have done that to Christopher years ago.

    7. Personally I think that's cute as all heck. If I had the talent to do something like that I sure as heck would. Sorta curious to which head it was cause there was no clear shot.

    8. I honestly think she was just adorable! I don't know if I would do that to my dolls but it would be fun to own one for play~

    9. Oh, I'm not ragging on the person who made her. Sorry if it came across that way. ^_^;; I agree with people about the fact that she's cool! I hope to see more developments along these lines, though I don't feel particularly interested in owning one myself.

I don't suppose someone with Modly powers would like to fix the title of this thread? Seriously, the "to" should be "too," and it's driving me absolutely CRAZY.

    10. Holy wow xD

I flinched everytime she moved though, I was so scared she'd fall OAO!

    11. I dont think its going to far, I dont think there is a end to imagination about bjd honestly.
In my opinion this moving bjd is awesome, id like to see her in real life, she look also really pretty

    12. I love Robots. Wouldn't it be cool to see this done to a Batchix?

    13. Wow. It was a bit strange to see her move but she did look cool doing it.

My other thought was I wouldn't want my resin doll moving around for fear it would fall and break. It also reminded me of those cheap dancing dolls and toys you find for sale a lot during the christmas holidays. Which makes my view of it to be more toy than doll. That just my personal feelings about it. That doesn't take away from the fact that it is innovative and amazing to look at. Just not sure I would want one for myself but who knows things do tend to grow on me.

    14. aaaahhh she looks so sweet!!
:D I love the way they got her to walk too
by the look of the remote on the table its kinda like that robosaptian (if I have spelt that right!!)
she looks so cute I love the idea and would love to see the robo tec used

    15. omigosh I'd love one of those. o.O

    16. Interesting. Very.

Not in my tastes at all, but I suppose some people would freak over it, spend a thousand dollars for one.

      It is kinda creepy, though...

    17. Not my thing. But I think it is very creative and interesting, lots of possibilities

    18. Perfect. They can invent a singing dollfie next.

    19. I think they're neat. I've been following the progress of gynoids and androids! So neat. :)
