Thoughts on a guy doll having breasts?

Dec 12, 2010

    1. Nah, not really. It might be a bit confusing at first until the owner explains, but whatever floats their boat.

    2. I don't think it really matters, though it does irk me out when they begin dissing you left right and center for seeing the doll as a female or even asking if it is a female (despite the fact their 'male dolls' on female bodies have very noticeable boobs protruding out from their chests)
Pretty much thats the only thing that tosses me off the wheel, other than that I don't really care, its their doll after all, whatever floats their boat after all.

    3. I can't really understand such owners. Dolls are beautiful as they are, and its okay for me to make a hybrid with a girl head on a boy body - or vice versa, if you want it that way. But IMHO the subjected thing is rather odd and strange. I will never want to have a boy with breasts.
Although it up to such doll-owners, their dolls are their dolls after all.

    4. It wouldn't bother me if there was an explanation.

I mean, if the person wishes to have a boy doll, and hasn't had the time/money/etc to mod, or its a transexual/asexual doll, then I'd actually find that interesting. But if the person outright kept the doll female, and it wasn't a "mental" thing (the character is transgender, but hasn't had the transitioning process) AND it wasn't because they keep thier doll clothed all the time, then I'd wonder about the person and their concept genders, rather then think the doll is wierd.

(and if I had all the money in the world, I'd love to make a transexual/hermaphrodite doll. Darkmothflame's 'hermaphrodite' El is beautiful. :aheartbea)

    5. I'd just like to point out that asexual and transgender are very different things. Someone who is asexual has no desire for sex and no sexual attraction to any gender. Someone who is transgender has been born into the wrong gender of body. It is possible to be asexual and transgender, but the two terms are not interchangeable.

    6. Excellent point. More specifically...sexuality in general is totally separate from gender identity. Gender identity (being gender queer, trans-gendered or trans-sexual, etc) is only about who you identify as yourself. It has zero to do with who or what you are sexually attracted to if you are at all. Sexuality (being hetero-sexual, homo-sexual, bisexual, asexual, etc) is only about who or what you are or are not sexually attracted to.

It gets really fun when you are trans-gendered and gay because you appear to the whole world to be a normal straight person. But in truth you are anything but. I know from first hand experience how confusing that setup is. :p

      But to the original topic:

What anyone does with their dolls is there business. Wouldn't bother me one bit.

    7. I know somebody who's got a girl doll who just happens to be on a boy body and she's styled her so wonderfully that I don't even think about the fact that the doll doesn't have "traditional" girl parts. I also know somebody who has a boy on an asexual body (which has budding breasts), but since you don't ever see these dolls nude, their anatomy isn't important, at least not to me or their owners. A boy doll with noticable breasts? Sure, why not!

In the end, it's their toy and they should be able to play with it how they wish.

    8. I personally don't see the appeal of boy dolls with boobs; it seems quite contrived to me, but hey, who am I to say? I really do think in reflection of being in this community for many years, it is your doll and you do what you want. I won't have anyone telling me what is right or wrong about my own property, and I certainly would not expect to do the same to someone else. We all have our tastes of what we like or wish to portray and we are entitled to do so.

There is certainly an appeal in this community for the strange, the obscure, the unusual, the different; perhaps an expression of our desires or fears; I don't know. While I see no fascination in a male with breasts, if someone really feels that is important then so be it. That said, no use getting shirty if your 'boy withboobs' is mistaken for a female- it makes sense they will be.

    9. It depends. Small, budding breasts-- like those most transgender individuals develop after hormone treatments? Yes. I have a transgender doll, and one of my former roommates went through gender-reassignment. I can see this. But full, C-DD cupsizes? Hell no.

That being said-- I can't dictate what people do with their dolls. I may find it occasionally distasteful, and offensive, or just ugly-- but ultimately, I can't do anything about it.

    10. My boy EL is about to have a female body. The reson behind it for me is yes he is a cross dresser and some of the prettier dresses out there do not fit the male body very well. The hips are too big on some or the shoulders get in the way. I plan on having the brest removed to a more flat chest ( :|even if I made him a female EL I still do this I don't like boobies on my dolls other peoples doll dont bother me but not on mine:sweat ). I like the fact the slimmer body gives you a more wider rang of outfits as a cross dresser. I have bought too many cute dresses ect just have them not fit the male body.

Does not bother me one bit if people do it they have a right to do anything with there doll as long as I am sure it Legal LOL

    11. Honestly it doesn't bother me. That said I have met and know a few people within the local queer/trans communities and don't find it strange to see men with breasts.

    12. I don't think I have much of a opinion on it. I mean if you want to do it then by all means go for it but, I personally could not do that. I thinks it's kind of an OCD thing with me if I want a boy then it really needs to be on an actual boy body male genitals and so on or else I'd probably end up having some weird PANIC ATTACK like "OH GOD IT'S A BOY BUT, HE HAS A VAGINA OH GOD I CAN'T I CAN'T WHY" ughghfj I can't explain it OTL;; it's just a "thing" that would bug me I guess.

    13. Why would it ever be thought of as strange. Not every human fits the gender binary, why would it be expected for all of our dolls to do so.

    14. Now see, I am considering getting a boy doll and having him embody a female character. So obviously, this is not going to bother me. However, the doll in question is a MSD/JID, thus the only reason I am going for it is because the character is supposed to look soft and masculine. The doll will be clothed, so why should I care if the mold has the sex graphed into the doll? I'm not going to be seeing it or taking notice.

If I did it vice-versa? Then yes, I would still go for the MSD/JID size because it's more ambiguous at their supposed ages anyways.

It doesn't strike me as being weird. It's different, and I know that, but part of having characters that are sexually ambiguous is part of the fun for me. Do I have characters obviously male and female? Yes. So it's up to the doll-owner, and even if it's not a personal preference, it would be nice to see it respected (which is seems to be by the vast majority.)

    15. I'm not sure that it would bother me much, if it fit the character I wanted to portray for that doll.
I, for example, have a yo-sd who is a boy but I portray it as a girl. It derived from a mix up with the company accidentally sending me the boy body by mistake, and I didn't feel like going through the hassle of exchanging it, since the conflicting anatomy isn't even as big as my pinky nail. So, it's part of her character now. :3

    16. cirquemom
I actually have one crossdressing doll at present it's just part of who is, It's also something that makes him, him I have a few more similar characters to. We should add though that I was a rl cross dresser to I identify as male and do not consider myself otherwise, it's second nature to me maybe thats why my dolls are like this. In future i will have had a doll who's now male but was a past life female :). Interresting topic :'3

    17. Controversial opinion, go!

Will it bother you if a doll which is supposed to be male have a girl body?

      tl;dr? Yes.

      Not so tl;dr?

I'm one of those rare conservative Christians on the Internet. If something is male, it should have a male body. In my opinion, gender lines aren't meant to be blurred like that. I don't mind facial androgyny, but when a male doll has breasts or is crossdressing, that's where I draw the line. Men are men, and women are women.

I know that people might hate me for saying that, but honestly, I'd rather be Biblically correct than politically correct.

    18. I certainly don't hate you. :) but I suppose I don't know why this is Biblically correct. My own view would be that God made men and women in his image, and so God has both female and male qualities. And having both female and male qualities Himself, I can't imagine that he would object to anyone else having them.

    19. I completely agree with you that man is made in God's image, but God identifies himself as male throughout the entire Scripture. Not once is God the Father referred to as God the Mother, and Jesus is never referred to as God's Daughter.

    20. Actually there are points in scripture where you'd be wrong. God is also identified as being considered "motherly" and tender like a woman as well, but because the people of that day and age were purely patriarchal, God was largely referred by humans as "male" for their understanding.
I have no idea why it would be considered "wrong" for a male doll to have breasts. Its not hurting anybody. If that's what makes you happy, go for it! :)
