1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Thoughts on a guy doll having breasts?

Dec 12, 2010

    1. That implies that God changes over time. If God identifies Himself as male only once, then He is always considered male, regardless of the culture He is speaking to at the time. Sure, He has nurturing characteristics, but that doesn't make Him any less male than He is.

And yes, it is hurting someone- the person who owns it. If they somehow are convinced that a man with a woman's body is acceptable, then they are directly going against Scripture and what it says about gender.

Reading that over, it comes off a little harsh, but I have very strong feelings on the subject.

    2. If they're not a Christian and don't give two hoots about a book which they consider to be mythical, then it's not hurting them at all. If it bothers you, then don't look - but don't expect them to change their doll just because it makes you uncomfortable. Your response is not their monkey.

    3. Um, yes, it is hurting them. It's called 'hell', and it kind of sucks.

    4. Men actually do have breast tissue. It is why men are able to develop breast cancer.

You may live your life ruled by an antiquated book written by a society that considered women property and that advocates the murdering of children, but not everyone does. It may hurt you to own a doll, of all things, that doesn't fit with your narrow idea of what constitutes gender, but it certainly does not actually hurt, in a physical, mental, or emotional sense, harm anyone to develop their dolls the way they see fit. Unless, of course, they are actually bludgeoning and harming people with them, which is not the topic being debated and I think any decent person of any belief system would find harming others distasteful.

What other people do with their dolls is none of your business, nor is it your job to police them.

    5. Please do keep in mind that the Catholic Church acknowledges that God is neither male nor female. And that God is merely referred to as "Father" out of human need for such simplifications. The Catechism clearly states that the Church accepts that God could equally be referred to as "Mother" just as validly.

Religion is a slippery slope to bring up, as someone else is always there with a different, and equally valid interpretation or opinion. You have offered your own personal view of scripture, but yours is not the only view. Always bear that in mind.

    6. I'm pretty sure that this thread wasn't intended as a religious debate, and its disheartening to see it turned into one. I'd rather not get into arguments over hell and dolls in the same breath, thanks.
Kim brings up a valid point - men DO have breast tissue. I think its easy to forget, but everyone starts out as female in uterus by "default" and thus the reason why males have nipples, ect. :)
Dolls are just that - dolls. If you want a boy doll with breasts then that is your prerogative.

    7. THIS! Quoted for emphases. Krynnmeridia you are certainly entitled to think and believe whatever you like, but you can't expect others to feel the same way. Nor should others beliefs be ridiculed or be disrespected because they don't mesh with your own. If you don't want your guy doll to have breasts then that's fine, but as Kim pointed out it's not physically, mentally or emotionally hurting the other person if that's not what they themselves believe. Sure you may feel that they may be hurting themselves unintentionally, but considering no ones died and gone to hell and then came back to report on it, that remains to be seen.

    8. I agree this is not the place for religious debate.

Krynnmeridia, I don't think anyone here has any issue with your beliefs or your personal religious reasons for not wanting your male dolls to have breasts. The thread asks for opinions, and you expressed yours and its as valid as any others here. Many of us, including myself (also a practicing Christian) may disagree with your interpretation of the Scriptures as the basis for that opinion. But, I feel it is best to leave it at that.

DoA is about the dolls, so lets get back to dollies! :D

    9. Actually I'm really curious to know - does anyone have a male bjd with breasts? I'd like to see theirs if possible. :D

    10. I've heard of people getting female dolls (because they want a smaller, more feminine boy) and modding them into males by removing the breasts and sculpting pecs and a penis but never someone getting a girl body and leaving it that way yet calling the doll male. It would make sense if the doll was transgender, but if the owner is just ignoring the female body and insisting it's male...well I don't get it.

    11. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but I have a male doll on order who, when he arrives, will be a woman. Is this more common? I have very good reasons for choosing this particular doll for this particular character, none of them to do with the fact that it's a male body. In an ideal world it would have been a female body.

    12. I have ordered a male head with a female body before, although I was meaning for this doll to be a girl, I just liked the head and thought it worked (order ended up being canceled due to huge backlog, though, and I ended up with a different girl). I certainly wouldn't be offended by someone who did this and called their doll a boy either, though, or transexual, hermaphrodite...etc. Doesn't bother me at all.

For one thing, I have a sibling who happens to be transgendered. She is a very nice, normal person and a productive member of society (she actually works as a web developer for a large video game retailer and I am so jealous!). She just happens to feel that she was born the wrong gender. It's not the same thing as being a drag queen, which seems to be the misconception that some people have (not that I'm putting down drag queens - I don't know any personally but I'm sure most of them are awesome people too!).

    13. I feel that its awkward and i myself wouldnt do it, but as the owner of the doll who paid for that product... they have the right. So though i wouldnt do it the owner can do as they please :)

edit: Also, it really depends on if they have a male head and mean it to be female or have a male head meant to be male on a female body. either way though, it still is the owners choice.

    14. Religious posts and posts about judgment, etc., although perhaps relevant to an individual's viewpoint are really pulling this thread off-topic. Please try to focus on the subject without interjecting this sort of hyperbole. Thank you.

    15. i just ordered a girl doll to mod into a boy does that count?

And if anyone wants to see this modding adventure i can post a link if wanted.>D (and i know its been said befor but just to "cement" it i am paegan and would rather not talk about the bible/chaticisms (sorry if i spelled that wrong to anyone that cares)) :)

    16. I have a few dolls that fall under this category. It's just simply modding: A feeple female modded to have the breasts removed and a peen added. It's because they were supposed to have a more effeminate shape.

On the other hand, I have one female bodied doll that gender-identifies as male, so she remains in the girl body wearing boy clothes.

    17. I don't have a boy doll with breasts, but I do have a doll who is supposed to be genderless, but identifies as a young "boy" in personality. A mixup landed him with a boy's body, but I intend to mod him so that he fits his character. I don't personally like most ftm mods, but I have no problem with the gender fluidity in this hobby. I'd be a hypocrite if I did lol >_>

I think it's healthy and interesting that we experiment with gender lines with our dolls. C: Though... personally I suppose if I had to have a reaction to a boy doll having breasts...hermaphrodite dolls aside I guess I would just be confused at the insistence, but nothing more than that.

    18. Darn my timing! I just got my full scriptural analysis all written out & prepared to prove that the Flying Spaghetti Monster says my boy dolly can have as many breasts as he wants. But it sounds like that ship has sailed.

    19. Thanks Johnny-come-lately now I'll never know! :(

I have to say though...can't see myself ever owning one myself. Not really a point (for me). But I am a sucker for modified dolls done well.

    20. I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but it's entirely possible for men to lactate. This can happen in circumstances of extreme deprivation and malnutrition, and also when men actually TRY to lactate and feed their children. It sounds rather odd, but, well, they do have breast tissue and if the will is powerful enough, who knows what could be achieved!
