1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Thoughts on a guy doll having breasts?

Dec 12, 2010

    1. Gender is a societal concept. Each society interprets gender differently.. but just saying "oh, it looks like a boy so it must be a boy" isn't necessarily true in any of them.

When this line is crossed, that's where prejudices form because there is no clear definition and it messes up the categorization process.

As human beings, we categorize things to make it easy to understand for ourselves. If something looks feminine it's automatically a girl. If something looks masculine, it's a boy.

Without getting too much more involved, it really doesn't matter how someone looks. As long as they are truly happy inside and are comfortable with themselves that is all that matters.

As far as dolls go, again, it doesn't (and shouldn't) matter what one looks like. There will always be people that appreciate what you have created. Stepping outside of the "norm" in this sense isn't something everyone has the courage to do so when it's done it's oftentimes beautiful.

Personally, I find more comfort in androgynous characters. There's just so much more attractiveness there in my opinion.

    2. It's not something I've even thought about to be honest. Your doll, your choice :)

    3. They may be planing on modding them off. It wouldn't seem to bother me at all

    4. No, I don't really care. A doll might represent a non-physically transitioned transgender character too, so then the body would make sense. Otherwise, if they really want it to be a boy body I guess they would mod it, but some people are afraid to do that or don't have the supplies. But as long as they are happy and not harming anyone, they can go ahead and have a boy with boobs imo :XD:
