1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Throw the dolls old clothes away?

Apr 21, 2010

    1. I don't throw away their old clothing. I either sell them (store bought clothing, or commission photo clothing ) or I either donate/give them away (self made clothing that is not "fit-for-sale")

    2. I never throw away their clothes no matter how old, I keep them in my "doll drawer" that contains all my doll items, both old and new

    3. Naah, never throw things away. Why waste clothing? Sell-- get a few pennies back for your trouble! And if you can't sell, donate!

If you have a local doll scene with meetups, swap meets are your friends.

There used to be a free-clothes-donation thread around here on DOA somewhere, but I can't find it anymore-- but you can always put up a Marketplace item for free clothes. There's always people online who wouldn't turn down free clothes. Just charge them shipping.

(I talk a good game, but right now I am woefully behind on any kind of culling duties that need to be done to my doll-clothes collection. :XD: My swap-meet box is always full, but there is still a bunch of stuff at the bottoms of the bins that could use a purge. It's a kind of neverending cycle! Luckily, the holidays are coming up...)

    4. I would either sell it, trade it, give it away or just keep it (who knows it might work for a doll later or as a place-holder outfit). But then, I really hate to bin things, as you said, it seems so wasteful.

    5. Sell or give away. i don't like to waist things.

    6. I'd keep their clothes and try to fix them.

    7. I threw away doll clothes sewed by myself, and i buy secondhand clothes that other people intend to throw away if not sold
