To girls that owns boys... do you feel... shy? O.o'

Jul 2, 2011

    1. Doesn't bother me at all, but my husband was a bit shocked when he first saw one of my MSD boys. "That doll has junk! WTF!" Now he makes jokes about them going commando if I don't put underwear on them.

    2. LOL My husband was like that too. Especially when I had my Dragon Doll Uncle. "why are there random penises magnetically stuck to things?" The most amusing part was when the extra bits were stuck to my sewing machine and my mom came over, needing to sew something...

    3. not really, i'm actually quite oblivious to it. the way i see it, i'm thier "mommy" and they're my boys.
i DO like to put underwear on them, simply because if they COULD say anything about it, i'm sure they'd be yelling my ear off about it. XD
if it was more human, though, i might be more embarrassed.

    4. I don't own a male doll myself, but I made one... I gave him a "à la Ken" look down there, so just a bit of a hump, no details. I don't think I will ever sculpt a doll's... Err... Am I allowed to say the word "penis" here?:sweat I find it quite hard to decide what it's err.. Position should be. Like, when he's wearing pants (and most of the time he is) it should point kind of sideways-upward. But if he's nude it would have to hang down. So there's a bit of a dilemma there, hence why I just went the "ken"-way. At least that way I will also be certain that my doll will never me molested or misused for dolly porn! ;)

But I don't really have problem with it when I'm handling other people's male dolls. However, I try to consider their (the owners) feelings when I'm inspecting a doll or when they ask me to restring it: I won't just pull his pants down as I know some people feel awkward about it.

I wonder how this goes for guys owning a girl? Would they giggle nervously when having to undress a female dolls, of turn a little red when they are buying underwear?

    5. I'm not shy about it at all. In fact, I love the fact that the boy dolls have it down there. It brings great moments when there are doll unacquainted friends over and I just pull his pants off for the sake of getting a reaction out of them! I've had all kinds of reactions so far, its amazing!

I can't wait to get a doll with a rotating penis down there. X3

    6. You just gave me the greatest idea for my next male doll. Thanks!

    7. nbluju: HOLY CRAP, I WANT. That would be awesome! XD

I am the proud owner of 3 MSD boys and a puki boy, but he doesn't really count in this since he doesn't have naughty bits. :sweat
Vulgar and Die have both their bodies blushed, and I like to give realistic details, and I like to show that I can make my dolls look realistic! Well, ok, not to my parents as much...I may be 18, but that still just gets awkward. But, heck, I've even posted pictures of my work on my Flickr! XD
Emiru isn't blushed yet, but he will be my next victim this next week~<3

    8. I am not really embarassed or shy, especially since I've been attending the doll group I'm in. I kind of chortle because inevitably, some boy doll always ends up with his pants down. Besides, my guy doesn't have a personality quite yet, so I don't feel I'm addressing him awkwardly.

    9. I have been told Spirit Doll can provide you with what you are looking for, lol.

    10. I am easing my husband into liking my dolls gently. I think exposure of the BJD "wedding tackle" at this stage might be a bit much, even though the doll in question is only a tiny (the husband went all weird about the family bathing scene in "Totoro").

Doll junk doesn't bother me personally, though. It's a constant reminder that the doll's a wee man, and that he doesn't really want me to put dresses on him.

    11. I start to feel like you when I read this thread ^^"

I just got my doll 2 days ago so I should get some underware for him =w=

    12. Shy? Not one bit. I think it's hilarious that my boy has boy-parts :)

    13. I've been married to a man for almost 20 years ... and I've seen him naked!!! So it isn't too shy-making to see Paolo's rudimentary-to-the-point-of-deformation fellow-flesh.

    14. I'm spending a lot of time making clothes for my lovelies before they arrive. Not because I'll feel awkward, but because I have a young daughter. And, while I'm just delaying the inevitable, there's a conversation we're all not ready for. Thankfully she already knows not to touch my "looks pretty" dolls so she'll leave these guys alone

    15. ^I totally agree with this! It's baffled me because we're all on a doll site. Most of the people on here own their own dolls and have seen their own "doll nudity" plenty while changing clothes and stuff. If dolls were being made to look sexual, that'd be one thing--but for comparison shots? It seems a little silly.

Once I get my boys in, I might feel uncomfortable changing them in front of other people (same as how I felt uncomfortable with my girl naked and taken apart for a restringing while I worked in the family dining room), but that's more about being concerned my family might judge me, and doesn't have much to do with my own thoughts on nudity.

    16. nope. its a doll. right?

    17. My face was totally red when my Marco first arrived. good thing I opened him in private haha:sweat but I got over it. not completely though

    18. Although I have yet to own a doll... I think I'll feel a little embarassed and awkward.
But I think I'll get used to it as time goes on.

    19. Ah, the reson I censor the dolly bits when uploading box openings is because of Photobucket's rules. In particular the one which I have summed up as "No peen shall be seen."

    20. I'm not embarrassed, though my dolls spend a lot of time around naked. My family has no problem with that too.
