To avoid the double post: now I'm even more excited, because I got my job back, and this meant I could spend my first pay check adding a Nkiru and an ingenue sleeping head to my order!

 

@Chameleon wow this is such great, i'm very very happy for you!!!
Which color you'll going to get Ingenue sleeping head and NewKiru head?

 

@$avage Getting it all in tan, though the sleeping face is going to have some silver tattoos in planning. This way, they can all share the body. I was really debating between ingenue and Nkiru for this character anyway, so this way j get the best of both worlds!

 

@Chameleon oh wow i'm super happy for you! Silver tattoos would loook great on tan resin, she'll going to have on her face or just the body?
On my side started today the second wig for Oryx

 

@$avage I absolutely plan to continue them down her body. I have a love of the way silver contrasts with tan resin..

@$avage oh, I get that! The last head I tried to make turned out way too small. The glue and the fabric kinda shrunk it...

@Chameleon such sorry about that, i had this happened few times and i was such frustrated...btw tomorrow i hope to have finally the work start, if everything will going as planned in a couple of days wig will be done
Any update with your wings project?

 

@$avage I improvised and turned it into an undercut. It's actually still the best wig I've made... I'm psyched to see yours! Ivr actually undertaken a huge non-dolly project, modifying an ikea wardrobe into a large reptile tank for a new friend I bought last weekend. It's 8 feet long, and has to hold a Tegu, so it's taken a few days of dad and I building.

@Ashbet Tiamat is absolutely beautiful, and I love her dress. I got the EID version for one of my dolls. Her wig is also incredible. Did you make it?

Tiamat's wig is actually an ancient Monique wig (circa 2005-ish) that I restyled -- it never quite suited any of my other dolls, but it's perfect for her!

I may wind up making her a handmade wig at some point, for versatility's sake, but I'm quite pleased with her as-is, at the moment ^__^

@Ashbet The curls are gorgeous. I might have to look at Monique wigs. My ingenue is going to have dark hair, or possibly fantasy coloured. Did you curl it yourself?

 

@Ashbet, Tiamat is quite striking. I'd love to see a picture of the two of your girls together.

Hoping also for some Oryx photos, from anyone who has been lucky enough to receive hers, as she has recently become my grail dolly. I have never had a grail before, but I am thoroughly enchanted, and certainly Twigling's sculpts fit the term perfectly.

 

It's a Monique Christine wig -- the curls are lovely, and I like that it has a natural "skin" parting line. I had been watching "Penny Dreadful" recently, and had been inspired by the curly partial-updos that Hecate and her sisters had been wearing in some of the S2 episodes. (And I have naturally curly hair that is somewhat similar, just . . . bigger, LOL!)

Thank you so much! I've been planning on a joint photoshoot, just need to have a bit of time/energy to set up (plus, I live in Texas, so it had been over 100 degrees recently -- we had a thunderstorm last night, so it was a bit cooler today.)

My current camera setup isn't ideal for two-doll pictures (my day-to-day lens is a macro, I don't have a mid-distance one), but I'm looking forward to figuring out a way to shoot them together!
