1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Twigling Doll Discussion ~ Part 3

Aug 1, 2015

    1. She's gorgeous! What size bust is she? My newest girl's chest barely fits in the EID sized dress I got her

    2. @Chameleon Wow seems a lot of work i will never be able to handle a work like that, my hat off!!! :abow:
Please share pics of your wig i'm curious to see, honestly short haired wig are the hardest to do ;)
Here's my Oryx wig finally done, as usual i choose a very very short fringe that looks more like an hairline but i think that suit to her face:

    3. @$avage I love your wig! Such lovely colours! Yeah, the tank is massive undertaking, but my dad is helping me with all the building and he's a life saver! Might have to ask him for help with doll things...

    4. @Chameleon you're such sweet thank you really :aheartbea
Just today i've added a rope around cheerleadres cause i thought that would have look better! :sumomo:
My father was a savior when i come to modding and i was in need of advice for tools, drills and sand paper he was very helpful so isn't a bad idea ask to yours for some help! :sneaky

    5. @$avage I'm sure it looks wonderful! Today I learned a bit about a dremel--albeit with cutting metal and not with resin, cause dad's been helping me out. He loves it cause we don't talk much and this gives us some time to

    7. Well, I took the plunge and purchased the pink Oryx that Twigling had posted as available on her faceup page. I am thrilled, as I missed out on the preorder. I cannot wait to meet this girl, and am counting the days until the pink girls ship. As she has an A bust, long torso and long legs I think my girl will be a perfect model for 1920s fashions, which is the time period I most love to sew for. I have not been this excited about a doll in a very long time. :love So very happy!

    11. @Girrl, I think the first dress will be a beaded party dress. Maybe something like this:

@$abbatha, thank you for the welcome. :)

@$avage, I love the 30s, too. I do not know what shoes I will use yet. I have a few pairs of EID and model doll shoes I will try for fit but I am always on the lookout for 1920s or 30s style shoes. A ribbon tied across the instep may also work to get the look of 20s shoes. What do you think?

I agree about shoes, i'm having such an hard time find the right style, but your idea is brilliant maybe we can also use some beads just made shoes fancy ;)

Made some mid rise slim fit pants for my original size Twigling Ingenue body! I am hoping I will be able to just straight up scale the pattern down by a percentage to fit my Minigenue when she gets here.

      Head: Limhwa Luna
      Shoes: Iplehouse

    14. Very very nice!

    15. I just bought the styrene for my first set of wings... Chickened out at the idea of making them in resin... Next time for sure, I keep telling myself. But my ingenue is soon to have her wings!

    16. @Chameleon congrats! Cannot wait to see update regarding wings! :thumbup

    17. @Chameleon that's a great news, congrats!!!Looking forward to see progress of your wings!

    18. @$abbatha @$avage if you check out the thread, the line art is complete and posted there of the pair of wings.. I'm getting it printed in scale so I can use it as a template when I cut the styrene. Also, not yet posted, but I'm doing some mockups for colours and for some other sets of wings.... If this way of making them goes well, I'll be making one or two more sets of transparent ones for other characters, one pair of butterfly wings, which I'm thinking, tentatively, I'll make with fabric, and three different sets of feather wings. Most of my characters seem to have wings...
