1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Twigling Doll Discussion ~ Part 3

Aug 1, 2015

    1. Can anyone tell me what the neck circumference of Eloy is, with or without that neck piece?

    2. @Chameleon and @Girrl Thank you very much!! <3

@$avage, that beaded headpiece looks amazing -- did you bead it yourself, or is it a repurposed necklace? Looks fantastic with Oryx's face :)

@sakuraharu, congratulations on your new girl! I love fashions from that era (my daughter and I have been watching "Miss Fisher's Mysteries" recently, and are coveting all the stunning period fashion), and I can't wait to see them on your leggy beauty!

    3. @Ashbet thank you so much for the kind words :D
The beads actually was ironed inside to made a necklace, found into a crafting/beads shop guess as started kit for those who wants to made necklace but i use them differently

    4. @$abbatha & @$avage your wig-making adventures are amazing, I love how unique they all are. And they're totally inspiring too - I was wandering around some charity and second-hand shops the other day and saw pieces of jewellery that instantly made me remember your wigs and headresses. Maybe I should start looking out for some bits and pieces and try making something myself!

@Ashbet Tiamat is gorgeous :aheartbea Her faceup is stunning, I love the gold eyeliner! What brand and size are her eyes? Because they look just perfect for her.

    5. @Zaliayn thanks so much :love it's a good thing to look at stuff in crafting shops and such for a dollie use, i've discover by case that a plastic cone it's very very helpful as support for bjd wigs, was just a cone on the top of a giant ice cream.
I've completed finally another wig for my Obsiadian ingenue half open eyes head, turned out great :) Need to take still few pictures of it.

    6. @Zaliayn Oh i'm blushing thank you so much really!
It's very amazing take jewerly or such and made a different use of them, when i see something interesting i buy right away cause i know that i'll find a way to use for my BJD wig dolls.
I have many that i never pictured done for my AIL head that are honestly huge and impressive maybe i should do a flickr album to collect all style done so far :3nodding:

    7. Zaliayn, thank you so much!! :aheartbea

I thiiiiink her eyes are 16mm DollBakery, possibly 16mm Enchanted Doll. I unfortunately hadn't kept them in the original packaging, so I can't be 100% sure. Sorry! :/

$avage, I would LOVE to see a Flickr album with all of those images!! I wound up using parts of a necklace to create a crown for one of my dolls, and I've used jewelry bits and pieces for outfit parts, but I've never actually incorporated them into a wig. It's a great idea, though :D

    8. Ahhh @Ashbet thank you for the support, if actually could be interested i will surely do, my main issue is that i'll never know what style my wig will going to have, since sometimes things going in their own way :sweat
I love the tiara you added to your wig, looks great!

    9. Thank you!! :D

I'd love to see how your wigs and headpieces turned out, whether or not they're how you expected them to be. Sometimes, the
"surprises" wind up being the most successful!

    10. That's a clever idea. I've always wondered how I'd go about supporting a big wig or headpiece and haven't come up with any real ideas. I'll have to have a good look at everything when I next visit a craft shop!

I'd also love to see a flickr album! That would be fantastic to look through! :D

That's okay, it gives me some new eye companies to have a look at! And I love the crown you made, the necklace works amazingly well. I definitely need to start collecting odd jewellery pieces here and there.

    11. @Zaliayn Thanks really, i'll going to sorting old pics and put them all into a flickr album i'll sher link here as soon as i'll have everything done!!!
Looking for nice and cute things into crafting shops is such a great resource on istance i've found a lipstick miniature from 80ies that fit in scale with my dolls, can you imagine something more excting?
@Ashbet sometimes is very very hard try to turn into a real thing an idea you have, as years goes by i've learned that i must cope with a base idea and just see how wig will be, most of the time i'm pleased with final result just few times i was disappointed :eusa_sile:whee::eusa_sile

    12. @Ashbet, I've been sick in bed for the past week, but thanks to you, had plenty of delicious 1920s fashion inspiration to watch on tv. :) Can't wait to start sewing! Although I wish Miss Oryx was already here because surely she would make an excellent couture witch for the anniversary contest (although having said that and thus, having ensured I cannot use her for that purpose perhaps she will now magically appear on my doorstep?)

@$avage and @$abbatha, I too would like to see a flickr album!

    13. Hello, I am waiting for a pink Oryx head. Are there any news? Thank you!

    14. Twigling has asked that anyone needing info on their orders should contact her via e-mail, since she isn't on DoA every day.

    15. Last time I have mailed her, she said that she expects the pink dolls will be sent around July 15.
Just don’t want to get on Therese’s nerves asking too often…
My problem is - I am not on Facebook, so I hoped to get some updates on DOA.

    16. I am in no rush to get my Oryx, as I only just ordered her and have not been waiting for any length of time. I feel extremely lucky to be getting her at all! It's just that she would be the perfect witch for the concept I have dreamed up. :) But that is okay, because she is going to be VERY spoiled once she gets here. And to be honest, anticipation makes the unboxing that much sweeter.

    17. @zhuangzi I understand that feeling! I checked her Facebook page for you, the most recent mention of pink is from yesterday:

"Back from the first of my two trips this month. Home for a week and don't know where to start with the work that is waiting for me. Trying to get the minigenues ready to ship during this weekend; next batch of big pink and teal girls slated for delivery on Monday and still waiting for the big tan girls after, guess what, yet more unexpected delays (bound to happen after a workshop move that according to Murphy's Law had to happen just when I desperately needed things to go smoothly for once) that make me want to pack up shop and quit. But of course I won't, I will be delivering long overdue products before strongly reconsidering how operations can continue in the future."

    18. @sakuraharu Thanks for your feedback i'll try to open a flickr album shortly!
@zhuangzi About Twigling updates are you an Tumblr? If i remember corrct she's there too so maybe you can get updates even browsing her account there, just a suggestion

    19. I follow Twigling's tumblr, and she hasn't posted anything on that account for months, maybe so long as over a year

    20. I have paid for this head in August 2015, it means I am waiting one year...
