1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Twigling Doll Discussion ~ Part 3

Aug 1, 2015

    1. Not her wig (way too big) and some temp eyes, my lady is staring holes into the side of my head while she hangs out on my work desk~

Have any new dolls come in?
Any ideas of what sort of pants might fit the long torso/short legs combo? not sure if she will end up wearing much clothing, but I definitely picked a hard combo to dress!

    2. I spent some time today dremeling and sanding my girl's alternate head. (Started out as an Ingenue, now she's obviously modified.)

This will be Pei'an Aldebara Porimmu, my non-terrestrial lady. This is her "natural" form. She also has an Elbe head, which is her attempt at appearing more human. Her outfit is still a work in progress (the sterling component is going to be part of her final garment, but the fabric is just a handkerchief in the appropriate color - I'm waiting on delivery of the fabric for her actual gown, and I still need to purchase the sterling sheet to make the other parts of her costume). She ended up in a pair of Oscar eyes I had in my eye box. I hadn't intended to use them for her, but they suit her perfectly in this form. Her Elbe head is wearing Dollshe eyes.

    3. Wow, she looks so cool! Love the mods!!

    4. Oooooh!! She looks amazing! Great job on the modding!

    5. @Kiyakotari That's some serious modding! That's not only impressive but I admire the imagination to think it and the commitment to do it. I like the idea of different forms for her.

@SemioticKitten I didn't really like that sculpt much but the more I look at yours the more it grows on me. I like what you did with the color on the lips since it accentuates her mouth and I think that helps. Not that I'm saying anything bad about the sculpt, just not to my taste but one of the things I like about the hobby is that you can see someone do something that brings out nuances and changes it and then we see it differently. A lot of times it's about seeing the actualization of the possibilities to really grasp a form.

    6. Thanks @dollhausen ! I totally get the whole not my style thing, there are a lot of dolls that I can appreciate but would never own. (I'm of the mind that all dolls are beautiful, just some its personal preference/taste). I do think that a lot of people feel/felt that way about Elbe, specifically - her features looked strong and even a bit mean (which I really liked lol) but all it takes is the right faceup and I've fallen in love with dolls I never liked before! ;)

I unintentionally softened her features when I painted Dynamene haha but I do hope that more people love the sculpt because of it! She really is just so expressive and beautiful ♡

Also @Kiyakotari that looks AMAZING! I am not sure I would ever be so brave, but it turned out awesome and I can't wait to see her done!

    7. She is my very unexpected doll.
I bought it from another member's BJD-club. She has no make-up, her own wig and name yet. I call her Arctic Fox -) -) -)

    8. I haven't checked this thread in a while and WOW, I've missed some amazing dolls!

@SemioticKitten Your Elbe looks gorgeous! The wig may not be be hers, but I love the style - I think it suits her face shape very well! I do really love that teal colour too :love

@Kiyakotari :aeyepop: WOW that must have taken some serious sanding! I sanded one of my doll's noses down a bit, and that took long enough to do! Very impressive, she looks amazing.

@SoiKa She's very pretty :) I like her eyes, the colour of them is beautiful. I love the dress and pearls too - the icy colours suit her name. Can't wait to see what you plan to do with her!

My Ingenue - still unnamed, but I have a few potential names in my head, so I'm getting there! Slowly...

    9. Wow, Zaliayn. I just happened upon this thread out of curiosity, and oh my goodness--your Ingenue is absolutely beautiful! The sculpt, skin tone, face up, eyes, wig and outfit are all just lovely. The pink combination is a treat for the eyes. What a fabulous doll. Thank you for that visual treat!

    10. all your twigling are wonderful and I hope my next doll will be a "pieta"

    11. Hi just stopping by, how do you order one of these amazing dolls? The website is closed for construction. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

    12. Not a stupid question at all! Twigling is currently working on her site and has been really busy with LDoll and catching up on orders, but she is pretty active on her facebook page!

I believe she has a couple of her msd size girls available, but she hasn't opened an order for her big girls since this last big one.

    13. A question please!
A Pieta head with a body Ingenue, possible hybridization or not?
      Thanks for your respons.

    14. Yes, all of the big girls share the same body.

      I'm waiting for Piétà's head.
I put pictures as soon as possible
