1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    6. She's so pretty! :D
That shipping must had been a nightmare. Good she got home to you in one piece.

    7. She's gorgeous!! I love the grey eyes!

    8. Thank you :) Yes it was! The fallout from Brexit was the excuse but it seems to have been more UPS i think.

    9. Thank you, yes so do I :) These are 12 mm oval glass eyes. I struggled to find eyes that i liked in her and didn't think these would fit, but i got away with it because they are oval, I think. :)

    10. @twigling has there been any movement on updating the color samples? The ones on the site still seem like they are from an older batch since that obsidian isn't included. Sorry if I'm looking in the wrong place! I still find it a bit hard to navigate the web site.

    11. oh yeah, those are from an older caster! The best samples I've found for the current colours are on insta, and I've done a little guesswork to get it...

This post has teal, and on the second slide, top left is Vivid. This has what I think is NS (pink?) then vivid, grey and Argyria (which was limited). This post (middle body) is Sienna, in between Argyria purple again and Raw Umber, which was also limited. This post has I think Sienna, then my doll in Cream, then I want to say raw umber, teal, and then vivid again. This and other pics were what I saw of obsidian! (feel free to weigh in if I've gotten anyone mixed up!)

    12. I'd just like to comment that, for how much @twigling's dolls cost, what the resin colors look like shouldn't have to be based on guesswork and conjecture - the cost of just a body is upwards of $850. That's not exactly a price that most people can casually afford
on a related note, I've been wanting a body for one of my floating heads. I took a photo of the headcap with the headcap of my Vivid Pieta from 2016, if anyone could opine on which of Twigling's current resin colors would be closest to the Granado resin I'm hoping to match (taken in indirect daylight around noon (it was overcast))

    13. Wow! Thanks so much for the sleuthing! It’s a bit hard to imagine what the dolls look like from a handful of Insta posts :frownyblush: There’s gotta be a better way! Hopefully, Twigling has some updates planned for the site to actually show what you’re paying for :sweat

    14. Nope, not yet, sorry. All the colour sample photos I have posted are from previous manufacturers and the only samples I have are those shiny chips from DSC that (while the same colour) does not look like the same since the dolls are more matte texture.

And now I'm told no shipment being made til end of June, not that all the offered colours would be in that shipment either... ‍‍:frownyblush:

    15. Hey Girrl, you make an excellent point and I am sorry I have been lax about this :vein will try to remedy this as best I can with what I have, and will have, on hand going forward.

While colour matching between companies and batches is always going to be a gamble, it should be possible to make some sort of estimate. As DoA doesn't doesn't do image uploads, I can't post it here right now, I can't show you the image I have taken, but if you get in touch on Instagram @twigling or via email, I will send it to you and do my best to help you pick the closest match. For the moment it is a morning /daylight phone cam image, but I can redo when direct sunlight hits, and will do some proper camera pics too (charginging the camera battery now!)

While it's always lovely to receive praise, well phrased critique is perhaps even more welcome, it's what we seem to learn from. So thank you for speaking up, please never don't do that, at least for me :eusa_pray

    16. I can understand your frustration, but I never claimed that my insta-sleuthing resin references were supposed to be a full solution. I know it would be better to have official pics.

You’re really welcome! Again, I get how in-ideal this is as a solution, but as a quick fix for people who need a rough idea of colour, I’m hoping this can help.

Also, thanks, Twigling for weighing in, and letting us know we can contact you about resin-matching! Oh m sure that will be a lot of help for some of us going forward!

    17. Weeeeeeell, ideally the information should be easily available so you don't need to ask me for it, but if someone needs, I will do my best to solve. These requests also serve as reminders to get the info available on the website, because I tend to forget as soon as some other issue crops up, and they always do.

    18. I mean, I know Twigling dolls are expensive (I pay for the quality of her dolls tbh and while I agree that her site is a little difficult to navigate I really don't mind do some research: I actually find it enjoyable), but she also has just recently changed the factory that will cast her dolls, so I guess it will take time to fix everything. Plus, I want to remind that she manages her business by herself, so we should be more understanding.

Chameleon, thank you for the excellent resin color recap!

    19. Thank you so much! Also totally agree that the recent shift, and also the amount of things she has to do to keep it running mean we should cut her some slack here! (Also I’m so hyped, because I have a doll in the shipment DCS is sending At the end of the month!)

    20. The change of factory was sometime (a year maybe) before covid started, though sure it is not making things any faster. I don't post about all the setbacks I have had with getting anywhere with renovating the web over the years, but it's one of the things that I juggle along with fabrication, and that also never seems to take off properly. I am part of the problem, for sure; and having more funds to inject for someone to dedicate time and expertise to get it done properly and quickly, and beautifully would be great.

I won't go on but you, my dears, are being wonderfully patient with all this, and maybe even too quiet at times. Any specific complaints, feedback or criticisms are in fact welcome both as reminders and as pointers as to what needs fixing.
