1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Two Homes?

Mar 23, 2011

    1. Well, I'm originally from Turkey but I've been living in TX for the last three years. I moved here for college and have only four of my dolls with me. Rest of the gang is still back at home, chilling in their boxes and waiting for me to return so I can rescue them. Problem is, I'll probably be moving to U.S. permanently and haven't found a solution on how to bring my dolls with me so far. I mean, I can always ask my mom to ship them but I'm a little worried about customs and all. Also shipping 12+ boxes would cost quite a bit. No more than what I pay for a round trip but still... Anyways, I still have time to think, so I'm not worrying about that part yet.

I have to tell you though, carrying dolls overseas is stressful. What I do is, I usually pack the heads separately and put them in my backpack, which I take with me on board... I wrap the bodies carefully and tuck them in between my clothes and other soft stuff and hope they'll treat my suitcases gently... Which, unfortunately, doesn't happen very often. I've been flying back and forth at least once a year though and nothing bad happened so far. :)
