Types of clothes you prefer?

    1. I used to just like fantasy, but I recently got a "normal" msd for my sewing and etsy shop to model, and I'm really enjoying her more than I thought I would and am having fun putting "regular" clothing on her.

    2. I try to match my dolls' clothes to match their personalities.

*Johnny is casual all the way. He wears a lot of layers in the winter, and a lot of colors regardless of the season. He likes to accessorize with caps and small bits of jewelry. Strangely, Johnny also likes skull motifs, an edgy fashion statement given his quiet personality.
*Alistair wears an odd mish-mash of punk, grunge, and glam. If you're having a problem visualizing this, picture a combination of David Bowie, Bret Michaels, and Kurt Cobain. The more ridiculous an outfit is, the more likely Alistair is to wear it. He likes red, black and pink, and her wears all the above whenever he gets the chance. He also likes religious icons and often wears a rosary around his neck.
*Chloe has a childish, energetic personality and wears kiddie styles to match. Lots of prints and patterns, lots of pink, lots of cute little skirts, pants, and dresses. Chloe's wig is cut unevenly, so she always incorporates some sort of clip or barrette for her hair.
*Johanna has a split personality, so I have a hard time dressing her. I try to strike a balance between her sweet daytime personality and her spicy nighttime personality. Johanna has a ton of lolita dresses and some mori bits and bobs, and they look good on her, but I'm not sure how well they suit Johanna's personalities.
*Guinevere is Johanna's half-sister and largely wears what Johanna wears, but in opposite colors.

    3. I honestly like casual realistic nowadays clothes! most of my dolls have realistic stories so yep, however it can be old or trendy as long as it is still realistic and well designed and sewed :-)

This doesn't mean I can't enjoy or do not like other kind of clothes for dolls... I really ADORE and appreciate the Victorian or Rococó clothes and props that Arcadia Dolls makes for instance!

    4. A mixture of styles but mostly fun and laid back. All my dolls are so different so they have a variety of styles between them.

    5. For my bjds they are either in jeans and tops contemporary or in period I am not sure what period! LOL Kind of pirate, wench, rogue, hunter, whatever. I have a lot of the dolls in the period clothes from Iplehouse but they are not dressy ones. My bjds don't wear bling and French court formal for example. More hunting lodge. :D

    6. Well, it varies.... Ramses is my delightful clothes horse who will wear anything from formal Chinese robes to jeans and a biker jacket, though he prefers bright red, Lahela wears batik or African print beach clothes in eye searing colors, Carina wears long silk dresses in emerald or sapphire blue, My Pipos Cheshires are my poor neglected babies that only have an outfit a piece, she wears a simple little white dress and he wears his gothy black full set, Nefertari wears Ancient Egyptian, Kamau seems to like black, and very muted sage green, Leona wears everything from Regency to her Tinkerbell T-shirt and jeans.

    7. Fantasy clothes! Most of my collection is comprised of elves and fairies and naga and all manner of creatures who just don't look good in normal clothes. I have to have most of my stuff custom done.

    8. Whatever fits, looks good and is cheap.

    9. All my guys have modern clothing. I'm having some edgy/classic fashion pieces commissioned for my Dollshe David's.

    10. Depends on the doll and what style I want each to have. Some I like modern with pastels, shorts, cute shirts, or dresses on and others I like old fashioned (like Kimono's or Yukata's). I like trying a variety of styles. Or I base some off of anime characters.

    11. What ever my characters wear. One has a really modern witchy/edgy style with lots of coats and black flowing things (still modern though)
One is a wild hermit faerie so she will wear makeshift ripped clothing and vines/plants/etc.
And one is a very serious formal guy so he will be in a suit/ fancy modern clothing.

    12. Both of my current boys have very androgynous and pastel styles. My next two incoming dolls will probably be more of a muted style.

    13. I don't own any dolls, but for the doll I'm planing on getting, she'll have a cute, asian (particularly korean and japanese) street style. Also, since she is a model, some nice, pretty outfits.

    14. I'm really big on old fashioned clothing, as well as fantasy style clothing. I don't have any dolls that aren't elves or hybrids or some kind of fantasy, so anything modern just looks silly on them :kitty2

    15. boys:Morden style!life style!
girls:they are so cute so everything works.

    16. I seem to mainly buy dresses and cutesy things for both my bjds. There's definitely a fantasy theme with the hair, since neither one of them have regular colored wigs.

    17. I actually like very colourful pastel style clothes that are trendy but its not ez to find cheap 1 for yosd so i just let my girls wear whatever i can find.

    18. My bjd will be situated in fantasy world. So there is no place for modern clothes. Viki (the main character) is elven battlemage, so now I´m making her armor and mage robe. Of yourse, I made her silk nightrobe, but it´s a little bit pin-up style :D

    19. Not really a style; but I prefer to have my girls in skirts or dresses rather than pants! Although I'm not too fussy on style, most of them have a modern, cutesy sort of feel~

    20. Depends on the dolls.

Most of my SD size dolls are children in a big, extended-family of siblings, half-siblings, and cousins who inhabit a Victorian/Edwardian nursery, so they dress like the characters in an E.Nesbit book.

Another couple of them are late 1920's/Early 1930's girls, along with one of the Mini size girls.

My Slim Minis are mostly modernish teens, although one of them is a bit of a hippy chic.

My Minis, Small Mini's/Chibi Unoa-size, and Yo-sized Tinies are a mix of the younger members of the Victorian/Edwardian nursery family, and more modern kids (the more modern ones dress in classic childrens styles more than up-to-the-minute-fashion).

The rest are more fantasy characters so have a mix of fantasy styles.
