Unidoll Real GIRLS Dalia & Lily discussion....

My guess is that "large breast" is actually an entirely different resin piece, featuring larger breasts than the standard. I imagine this is the one pictured at the Unidoll site with Serina as a hottie in a tight T-shirt.

I do see a major difference in Lily 1 & 2's makeup. And maybe Serina has redder eyebrows in the 1st Ed., but the lighting in the two Serina photo spreads is dramatically different ... and makes side by side comparison tricky.

The Parts section of Unidoll's site shows the plain heads, and Dalia and Roxy seem to have somewhat more mature heads than Lily and Serina. Serina's being the most child-like. Roxy's being perhaps the most mature ... just judging from the bare headshots.

I suppose you could put on a wig cap and then add layer(s) of moleskin to the wig cap to add size to the back of the head ... ala Conehead. Or, inversely add layers to the inside of the wig ...

At any rate then, I guess there is no reason to prefer one edition over the other. The lst doesn't have a production number certificate or somesuch that would be desirable ??


It's hard for me to choose between the various girls, but I'm tending towards Dalia. I only have MSDs, not sure I'd want more than one SD girl with the same body. Even though it is a great looking body. Evidently all the Unidoll SDs have identical UBr-02 (uni Real Girl Body)s. In the side by side photos in this string above, you can't miss the identical collarbones in the off shoulder dress shots. I think I'd opt for variety.

 

I seen the comparison shots of normal and large bust (both nude and dressed), the large bust is more like the doll's wearing a bra. Breasts come more closer in the middle. While normal one is like in natural position, without bra.

I prefer the large bust, it is not exactly "larger" breast just some "push up" to the breasts. The measurement is 1 cm larger, I think, but I don't remember where I got this information.

I have Selina. The 2nd edition, as you called hottie in tight T-shirt, I think she's having normal breast. I put my Selina in a Tee-shirt too and her breasts looks just like it. You can see the large bust in dress in Kira's, Roxy's and the new queen of snow's page.

About the edition, I think Unidoll offer 2 style of make-up. But if you order the doll with out make-up, it would be the same?

 

Yes, CoreDrill, I see what you mean. The difference is most clear in the Roxy photos. Dalia's only options at Unidoll's site, other than Makeup, are High Heels for $30. Do you know if these come as an extra set? Because the high heels are available seperately for same price in the Parts section.

 

I see the large bust option doesn't cost money, but the heels do. So I think if you order the large bust they will swap the normal one into large one, and the heels are extra set apart from normal feet.

Anyway, I got mine in 2nd handed market so I'm not sure. You can ask Unidoll at their Q-A board, they response quite quick. ^_^

Well I got into this from anime ... the Wikipedia article on ALI Project, (who did the soundtracks of Code Geass and Phantom: Requiem, two animes I thought highly of), showed that ALI Project seemed to be much in demand by high quality productions ... I saw that they had earlier done the music for something called Rozen Maiden ... I downloaded it ... loved it ... looked for more information ... found out that Jun Planning had released poseable dolls that cost less than the usual anime-inspired resin statues ... got some - (initially, Shinku & Hinaichigo, then Suigintou) ... but found that the most desirable Rozen Maiden: Kirakishou, (the youngest and most evil - oh, yeah!) had only been released by Volks in an extremely limited edition, though many custom versions existed. Dolfies. Volks. Read up on them. By now I had almost a dozen Pullips, and a few Blythe, then I got some resin MSD Goodreau on closeout to experiment with ...


Now at this point, I'm thinking Judgement of Paris in SD: a Pallas Athene/Wisdom perhaps as Christopher,a relatively inexpensive elf-eared 63.5cm SD from Impldoll, a Hera/Power maybe Hestia, and as Aphrodite/Love, either Selina or Dalia. Myself as Paris ... mebbe one of the Unidoll - Uni Limited 58cms males ...

Though actually I'll probably get Christopher first, then one of the Unidoll girls ... I like Dalia best, but Selina 2nd Edition & Hestia are both available for quite a bit less presently. And I can picture Selina as Aphrodite with no trouble at all. Since (only from photos, but still ...) I love the female Unidoll Real Body, it only seems right to use it for Venus. Hera could even be 70cm ... the Queen of the Gods and all that ... Zeus chose her for a reason ...

Hestia does have that Imperial quality that Hera would have ... but whichever female Unidoll SD I get first may end up being the only Unidoll SD, as I would prefer different bodies on the three females. Encompassing all three feminine ideals, and also reflecting women I've known over the years ... and some I'd have liked to know better ...

But hey, I'm also looking at getting more MSDs, Island Amy and the new Angelheim Luka the Pan are both attractive.

 

It might already be answered or something, but I couldn't really find anything in the search... Is PajamaCat just someone that makes clothes for the Unidolls on the website? The dress on the Selina doll is flippin' gorgeous, and it's obviously not in their shop... Was wondering if anyone who follows Unidoll would know anything about it, because I really want to track down that dress. -_-

Maskull Wow! You've got a big project! For me I just bought the one I really really like. So I won't be tempted by the new ones,LOL. Never watch Rozen maiden but it's very popular so I know some of the characters and stories. I just noticed the news on Unidoll's web, they said they would discontinue production for some dolls, including both Dalia and Selina, so you might need to be hurry if you'd like to get one of those girls! If you want any owner pics for Selina or Rio, you can ask me, I'd really like to help. (when I was deciding to adopt her I can't find any of owner's photo, she's not much popular? or the owners don't like to upload pics?)

Shlee I saw some of the questions on Q-A board on Unidoll's web, someone ask them if she could buy the dress in promotion picture, as I remembered they said yes. For me sew for my own dolls,LOL so I don't know if PajamaCat made those cloths or not.

I've laboriously downloaded the entire gallery of Uni Limited from Unidoll on the theory that it might disappear when the dolls were discontinued ... UH-01 is here:

and if you go to the bottom of the page and click "next", you can open all 21 Uni Limited pages, in successive tabs ... some have links at the bottom for more photos and a few even have wallpapers in various sizes, including Dalia ... probably gonna eventually download every photo on Unidoll's site, so I can watch various slideshows of them on my bigscreen ... all part of my shopping mania ... and, hey, it's educational!

Yes, I got an email from Unidoll with their announcement of their ending availability of the various Uni Reals ... though Unidoll is saying that the UniReal male body will be continued as it is (which means, I think, that the Uni Real woman will be upgraded in some way, as the Uni High School is replacing the Uni Limiteds, if I have that right) ... Unidoll is also offering 30% off for just the bare unstrung doll, both Uni Reals and Pukis, not sure I'm up for that, though ...

I'm not too worried about the impending unavailability, as I expect they'll continue to be available at retailers in North America for some time ... right now Hestia and Selina would actually cost less here than through Unidoll ...

Rozen Maiden is a must see for any doll person ... Traumend is a prequel which came out after Season One, and shows how Suigintou became the angry hostile ... (and probably every viewer's favorite) ... in fact, just watch Traumend and you'll be hooked ...

Some legal wrangling by various legal departments put an abrupt end to the manga to anime transformation of Rozen Maiden after Season Two, but Peach-Pit is still continuing the manga, which, of course, I have found and downloaded ... as well as all other Peach-Pit anime ...

Last night, I finally bit the bullet. Unidoll's 30% Off "Uncombined" Sale was too tempting. So I ordered Dalia. She comes to $336 + $84 for the head: Dalia, Lily or Selina, only + $60 for Faceup ... totaling $480. Everything except the eyes.

I also ordered Unidoll's 30cm Tiny: Dede (UHt-02), also uncombined. She was $153 + $56 for the head & $40 for the Faceup. ($249) Though the Tiny Uncombined does come with the glass eyes included.

Dede will join my two Island Yo-SDs: Cookie & Bobo.

But Dalia will be my first SD. That Judgement of Paris stuff I was going on about two weeks ago ... from the tone of the emails I've exchanged with Unidoll yesterday, I sound more like an expectant father ...

Lot of responsibility ... choosing the right eyes now, not just wig and outfit(s) ... any suggestions on glass eyes for Dalia? She comes stock with random 14mm ...

Dalia is one of my favorite, I didn't get her because when I was first join the hobby she cost more than other doll I've laid my eyes on. Anyway I decide to go for Selina because of her youth. I think I'd put my doll in some fluffy lolita outfit and I think Dalia don't suit that.LOL

About the eyes, hard to find the right size! Uni's default eyes are from Kanis' (Germany glass eyes). I heard that's good quality and Lagann (my Selina) already has green eyes as I planned so I didn't search any new pair for her.

Many doll companies sell varies colours and sizes, someone recommend that Soom's silicone eyes are made for those sleepy -small eyes doll because they are so hard to see by camera.

I bought Lily and Dalia heads with the final sale, and though I've had them for a couple of months I'm finally getting them together.

I know people had said Lily's head is tiny, but you don't realise how tiny until you see it in person! She's wearing an MSD wig from Leeke and it's still loose on her! Also has anyone else noticed how rough the sculpt is? Dalia is lovely and smooth, but Lily is incredibly lumpy. It is covered up a lot when you put a wig on, but I was quite surprised when I got her out of the box. '

The resin is quite yellow, and doesn't match anything else I own. I'd heard it matches Dollmore, but she's currently on a three year old Dollmore body and I have a new dollmore body as well and she isn't close to either of them.

My girl wears MSD wig too. But I like proportion between the head and body so I don't mind.

The resin don't match?? Do you own any Unidoll's body? Or the head doesn't match even Unidoll's body?

I don't mind the proportions either, she's just got a very small head in comparison to a lot of my other dolls.

I don't own a Unidoll body, I couldn't afford to get one at the time so I just got the heads. I'll get a Unidoll body eventually, hopefully in the next month or so.

 

Actually, I'm thinking of selling the Unireal-girl body. I'm getting UnoaZero, but I want to keep my girl's head, hybrid her with Unoa's body somehow. So if you're interested,LOL.

o unidoll Lily is soooo lovely.. i have always loved her... She seems so out of reach for me... sigh

 

I finally received my Unidoll body yesterday. I'd asked for the normal bust but they'd sent me the large bust instead. I actually don't mind it, it looks so much better than the pictures suggest on the site. I knew their bust/waist/hip measurements were on par with Super Gem, but the whole proportion of the torso is pretty much the same as them. It's like putting a Super Gem torso (although differently sculpted of course) on shorter legs and arms, with a shorter neck. This makes my life so much easier in terms of dressing her, because I don't have to alter top patterns at all, and they can share things!
And it came so perfectly strung, she moves beautifully. I'm very impressed.
Now to wait for my heads to come back from overseas so I can put it altogether!
