1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Unoa Boys ORDER April 26th - Crescent Shop

Apr 23, 2005

    1. I cant wait to see photos of your boys once they come in! :D

(particularly the optional penis part... >_> )

I want to start my unoa familly so badly *_*

    2. I heard from Cresent shop !
I couldnt stand the wait any more so I e.mailed tham this morning , according to a statement on Unoa Freak web site there has been a delay with the boys but they are expecting to start shipping them the End of October
:daisy ....Im hopeing they do my Birthday is Nov 5th ..what a birhtday if they turn up for then!

    3. Well at least that is some bit of news. Thanks for passing it along. I cant think of any other business that expects you to pay in full and then wait for 6 months, and that includes custom furniture buying. Oh well I did and still do really want a unoa.
      Thanks again Fitz

    4. LOL you know I was thinking that very same thing !
and no contact at all ,I just had to e.mail Cresent shop
Oh well a few more weeks and they will be home ... :D

    5. Then we'll have an invasion of Unoa Boy threads in the gallery

    6. Yes I think if it was any other doll other than unoa I would not be happy about the no contact thing.

    7. Anyone here an expert as Unoa stringing? meaning you have strung more than one unoa.

Let me know if you have!

    8. Well... I don't know about expert, but I've strung a few...

    9. that's the truth. and, it's the last time I'm doing it. I'll wait for something, but this order has too many middlemen. I don't mind a deposit, even a big one. it's not as if they'd have trouble reselling any of AG's dolls if someone defaulted. next up for me is another Bermann, and even if there's waiting involved, Anu always keeps in touch. :chibi

    10. AINT that the truth ! :o

    11. Thanks for the update, tinybear! I was really starting to wonder.

At least another month, drat. :( Oh well, I still really want him . . .

    12. Well in his site Araki says he's doing this as a hobby not as a business, to share the joy with collectors, and therefore not to expect the Unoa sales to be run like a professional business.

    13. I am not really complaining about unoa, in particular but BJD's in general, although the unoa has been the longest wait. I wish I had the patience to read Gentaro Araki's site, but the translator programs leave a lot to hope for. But I love unoa's- they are worth the wait. I had been waiting 6 months for a preorder, so another 6 is ok, esp for a dream doll. I am also aware - due to all the middlemen, it is harder to get out word the order is going to be late.
Overall this is a minor glitch, I am sure they had more orders then they expected, so a wait is ok. I just wish I could put a half down deposit, so all my money isn't tied up for 6 months.

    14. I didn't know it was a hobby. I wonder what his job is.

    15. My guess is that his job is designing figures for other companies (for example Volks), before he made the U-noss I used to see lots of figures based on his designs in Volks stores, and that selling Unoa kits is something he does on the side, maybe because he doesn't want to license another company to sell her for him, possibly because he wants to control all aspects of her production himself? But really that's a wild guess, I have no idea.

    16. Oh that sounds right. I have a book here with many of his figures in!

though I think many in this book are one of a kind.

    17. Died ..I hope so :D
      its been a long wait

    18. I'm not looking!

hmm, hmm, hmm fingers in my ears.
