okay, the "mouth" part is really a tiny piece that goes inside her head, suppose to be her teeth. She has an eye mechanism, really pretty basic mechanically, that moves her eyes back and forth. There are special metal pieces that go in her knees to her thighs, I think this helps with the posing aspect. She comes with two pairs of hands, and two pairs of feet. One pair of feet are much larger than the other. The smaller are 2 cm, the larger are just about 3 cm. The plastic "shoe" pieces fit the larger feet. She will stand with the smaller feet, but probably does better with the larger. I have not tried them yet. Also with kit is a decent size piece of fur and a wig pattern And a piece of vinyl and copper wiring and bikini pattern. Oh yeah, she comes with attachable cat ears too. I suppose if they wanted to do different face plates or smaller or larger chest plates they could, but have no idea if they will. It was not easy putting her together, so I don't feel the urge to change anything (I already restrung her arms) in the near future.
Hee hee, beat you to the foot measurement Andi! Someone asked about the kits? They have been showing up now and again on Ebay. I actually bought mine from an Ebay seller, but off Ebay (so slap me, lol) Also sometimes they might show in in the Marketplace here. I think as more of these are made, more will show up. And some of the pre-assembled dolls now out there are actually kit dolls that someone put together, so if anyone wants to buy a pre-assembled dolls, make sure to ask who put it together. I enjoyed assemblying my girl, but if a person has never strung a bjd, or assembled models before, it might be a bit of a challenge, especially since the instructions are in Japanese. They do have diagrams and I am sure if a person needs help just post in the Tiny section here!
thanks a lot. I'm trying to take a decision between unola, unoa and another doll, so I'm taking useful infos ^__^
Oh, eep -- your instructions were only in Japanese??!? Mine came with English instructions that were actually quite comprehensible, as well as two (!) copies of the Japanese version. Wish I'd known, I would've shared the ones I have! If anyone has a UnoLa kit and needs English instructions, I'll scan mine . . . I'm going to be out of town all day tomorrow, but I can scan them when I get back if anyone wants them :> -- Andi
