1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Unoss Discussion Thread

Dec 9, 2009

    1. @Astro You wouldn't have to worry about clothing and shoes if you'd just make her the hot pink wrestler outfit I've been advocating for her for years now. hot pink metallic stirrup pants, no shoes, pink wrassle theme pedi :chibi

    2. Ahhh those shorts are cute!! I wonder if her thighs would be too large for them? ><;; They look very sexy and casual though- I love the little cross charm! I'm so afraid in general to get pants for her LOL. It really does seem like clothes with elasticity work best for her... I don't want to trouble you to have to change your girl's clothes! I really thank you again for helping me! <3

    3. It's not a problem! I just have to dig them out, I think they wound up in an unsorted box of doll clothes. I've been curious about it ever since I thought about it though, so I'll try them when I find them!

    4. [IMG]Dollmore loafers on Unoss by t4124, on Flickr

I bought these pink loafers from Dollmore hoping they would fit the Unoss feet. I wouldn't call this "fitting", but I forced them on with some tools. Unfortunately they appear to be faux leather so they don't stretch much and I assume they will deteriorate badly over time. But they are ON for now and they look SO cute!

    5. An older DoA post said Glamor Model shoes from Dollmore would fit Unoss.
They don't. They're at least 1 inch too long.
The shoes arrived yesterday. I have no use for them.

THANK YOU to DoA-ers who KNOW what shoes fit Unoss and post photos.
But to others: PLEASE don't post guesses on what might fit Unoss. I know you mean well but it's not helpful.

    6. I'm sorry that happened. What I always do is double-check sizes myself before I spend money. For instance, Dollmore gives the length of these loafers as 11.4 cm, and the Glamour Model boys these are made for have a foot length of 10cm. Unoss girl feet are about 7,6cm if I remember correctly, and people recommend using SD13boy sized shoes for them, which are a smaller size than Glamour Model boys. Hope you'll still find some use for the loafers, or maybe trade/ sell those?

    7. @Mandagore I selling the loafers and the boots from Dollmore on another website. (Am I allowed to mention other sites that sell stuff?) I'll try SD13 shoes soon.

Here's the next attempt: someone said "My Twinn" sandals work. They don't. LOL At least they were cheap.

    8. Here was another suggestion: "American Girl" sandals. These are the best fit so far in my shoe adventure although they're too short and too tight. These were cheap, too.
(Looks like Unoss needs a bath!)

One idea: a Unoss owner swapped out the Unoss feet for Iplehouse feet in order to have nice high heels. I love the Unoss feet, though.

    9. I totally understand that. I have odd sized girls with odd sized feet, too.^^
But I do not understand - why don't you buy shoes at BJD shops that give you the exact size of the shoes? Luts, Dollmore, Leeke I think?, and many, many more give the exact shoe measurements with every shoe they offer. You only have to compare to your girl's measurements, and hey presto!?^^

I did not find the old posts you refer to, but most likely they are from a time years ago when not much was known about different sizes and shopping for BJDs was very much guess work.

    10. @Answer42
When you finally find the right size you have to make a picture collage of all the botched shoes you bought...

    11. @Mandagore YAY! Finally some great ideas on where to shop! At your suggestion, I started with the Luts site and it looks promising! THANK YOU!

@lytits You made me laugh so hard, I almost snorted! :XD: A failed-shoe photo collage would be hilarious!

    12. Just a follow up: The shoes offered by Luts, Dollmore, etc. are all too narrow for Unoss.
I was very lucky to find a used custom pair of shoes for Unoss - originally from a unknown maker years ago!
Maybe there are some BJD shoemakers out there somewhere...

    13. Recently I went to mandarake Japan and found a unoss at a steal! $230! (Fullset with non-sanded eyes/lashes)

Bought it the moment I saw it!

Since I was in the kansai region and brought her to volks tenshi no Sato

Apparently they do not do any maintenance for U-noss despite it being released by them... Quite sad really

Thank god I read this thread before buying clothes for her as SD13Boy shoes fit perfectly

    14. Congratulations on your new girl!

Yeah, it's sad VOLKS won't maintenance oldskin dolls but you can take her there for some fun pictures:thumbup

    15. Apparently their "service time" for this gentaro unoss collaboration is over and isn't allowed inside tenshi no Sato. (Not considered as a volks doll) From what I was told by the staff. I was shocked.

U-noss wasn't even displayed at their museum

    16. That is curious.

    17. @1dec.beae
I never really realized that Unoss wasn't in the museum since each time I went to Sato there were some dolls down for maintenance and I assumed that I'd just missed them every time. I guess it makes sense to not display Unoss since Gentaro Araki does his own thing separate from VOLKS now but sad Unoss is not allowed at Sato.

I took my Ian to Tenshi no Sato last year and was also told they no longer service oldskin dolls (aside from the exchange campaigns they do from time to time though likely Unoss and Ian are not allowed for these campaigns) due to them being no longer produced and quite different from any current Super Dollfie so probably a long-standing but not well-known rule given how rare these older dolls are.
Sato doesn't even have records of most pre-2004 dolls which I thought was quite odd so if you go ask questions about them you'd have to get lucky to catch the one staff member that has memory of that particular doll.
The staff in general are usually surprised and excited to see owners still enjoying these old dolls though so always a good idea to ask!

    18. I’m not surprised they don’t service dolls that old anymore but I’m quite surprised she isn’t included at all. I’m really wondering why they would not even allow her in though - since she is a branded company product, and was distributed by them as well. But good to know that mine should just stay home, should we go.
