1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Victorian Winter Dolls discussion

Jun 30, 2010

    1. Yes! The ears are magnetic too~! I was worried if I sculpted them to the head they might break (But know I know they would be able to handle it!) So its also a plus so if you love a face, but hate the ears, you can change them! :3

    2. Omigosh, who could hate those magnificent ears :XD:

EDIT: But I do look forward to possibly switching them out with more fantasy ears that you wind up producing when the time comes! ^_^

    3. X3 I know right ? lol!!

:D Yes! :D I have 3 including odettes made already. Odettes is Fairy, Gwendolyn is Elf, and Mira (air Fae) is Goblin (They're long but they droop down X3)

    4. I love the magnetic things! I didn't realize the hands were like that, it is so handy (punny I know) for dressing them.

    5. GWENDOLYN IS AN ELF!? I thought she would be another fairy like Odette. AHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhh!!! I'm DOOOOOOOOOOMED!!! :...(:...(:XD:

      :dance *hooray!*

    6. LOL! She has Elf ears, but butterfly wings X3 Its how I categorize their styles ^^; I can have the option of no wings though if you're interested ;)

    8. Yay! *hugs* Thank you for doing so!! X3 Heh, I'm rather shy in person so I can't do that unless someone comes up to me and asks (themonkeythatsees might have noticed when we met up at the Fresno convention lol!)

    9. I wouldn't dream of it :o

I can't wait to see her. I just moved money into my Paypal. I am totally ready to buy the hell outta these dolls when I see Gwen. Just must resist urge to buy that amazingly cute Dream High Studio Mimi in the meantime :doh See what limiteds do to people! Ack, the pain... *_*

    10. Oh yeah, I've got a Squeee too! He is Midsummer little brother named Twig.

Savings account anyone? Not sure what that is anymore

    11. You see, didn't I tell you?

Doooomed doooooooooooooooooomed! *starts saving again and again* LOL

    12. AH ha ha ha ha!! It is SO much fun though, isn't it?? I'm having one heck of a fun freak out over VW dolls, LOL. My husband is SO SICK of it. When I turn my computer off to go to bed at night, I open up my laptop in bed and stare at her pictures! If she were a doll in a store window, I would be licking the glass by now.

      Licking the glass!!!

    13. LMAO

Anneke you just made my day even better :aheartbea

    14. Well, that explains why my Palm media screen is sticky. LOL
      *drools some more*

    15. Me too! I got mine....in may 2009 at the Scarborough Fair in Texas. It's like owning a tangible piece of the froudian universe (even thou I know they aren't affiliated, I think the style is spot on)

OMG victoria Droopy Goblin ears are the beesssttttt. (you may not have noticed, but I am, in fact, a troll, lol. I've been thinking about switching my more 'elven' ears for some droopy ones, as a matter of fact. sorry for the OT moment there)

    16. I looked at his web site. Those items are awesome. Pity he's Ren Faire only. maryland is just too too far away. :(
Oh well, $$ better spent on dollie stuff I'm sure. LOL

    17. Muse star, if you ruin it, it only means I need to make it better.
One of my favorite things about VW is the mix-n-matchyness of it all.
..And yes every time I get the chance I brag about this company I do too lol.

    18. I snippied an Odette face as an avatar for my LiveJournal. I've had people asking "Who is that? where to you get her?" And naturally, I've got the VW link on the front page.

I only hope people really do go, look, fall in love and shop. It makes it that much more fun to know an artist if doing well with their ideas and having more than just a hobby out of it.

    19. Heh no problem, Muse Star, Master Enabler here. I love unique artist's dolls, the ones that really have soul. When I saw Odette, she was so incredibly unique, and there is something about her that is so strange that I get a thrill out of looking at her, I don't know exactly how to describe it, it's like I almost don't want to look (she really looks like a live creature) but I can't look away. Oh now I know I am nuts, and so do you lolz.

    20. stellamaris have you ever seen "The Cat Returns?" It's a studio Ghibli film. Anyway, in that movie, when an artist truly puts his/her heart into making something, that thing is given a soul, and can come to life.

Its one of my favs ^_^
